"Yes, Edward had always liked exercising," Nancy said, smiling fondly at him.

"It’s rare to find a man who likes to exercise! You picked a good husband!" The saleslady assumed Edward and Nancy were a couple and smiled at them.

"I agree, I also think Nancy has good taste. Right, Nancy?" Edward agreed, stopping Nancy from correcting the saleslady. He grinned at the saleslady and continued to play along.

"Yes, Edward is right!"

Nancy resigned, not wanting to explain either. With a casual smile, she asked, "Can you please pack it for me?"

"Of course, please come and visit us again!" The saleslady beamed, pleased that she made a great sale. She quickly packed the clothes.

Edward handed over his card to pay for the items.

After they finished shopping, Nancy was eager to leave and go home.

Before she had a chance to tell him that she wanted to leave, he grabbed her hand and walked her over to a women's boutique.

"Edward, it’s fine! I have a lot of clothes!" she protested. Every time she opened her wardrobe, there would be a new set of clothing, with a

ike beating herself to death.

She found tears in her eyes and wiped them away quickly before walking towards the villa.

Suddenly, she bumped into someone.

Stunned, Nancy replied, "Who is it?"

"Why do you look so surprised? It’s me." Charles narrowed his eyes at her and smiled maliciously.

Nancy thought Charles looked ridiculous and couldn’t resist the urge to tease him.

"Yes, you surprised me. When did you become so sneaky?"

"Sneaky?" he scoffed. It seemed she knew him too well. "Did you have a good time with Edward?" he asked curtly.

Nancy sighed in resignation. "We always have this conversation whenever I see him. Aren’t you sick of it?"

His jaw tightened in frustration. "Do you really like Edward?"

She chuckled, "I like Edward. I like him very much!"

His eyes widened at her confession. "What?"

"I do like him. Isn’t that what you wanted to hear?" she jeered.

Nancy had always been fond of Edward, but knew herself too well and the situation she was in. It was unfair of her to get him involved. He was too good for her in all aspects.
