This really was what they were going to do. Gina had talked to them about it earlier before she went to spend the nights with the girls of Shinny Dolls. It still made him feel weird and excited. Fingers touched his hand and he looked over to see his dearest lover smiling at him.
“Yours? What are you saying?” Allie questioned smirking at them.
“I’ll be honest here,” Jin looked at Allie, “I am in love with Ah Shun.”
Ah~ Shun was as red as a ripe tomato!
“Oh?” Allie made a questioning noise.
“When I first met him, I knew he was special. Yet, I was afraid to let people know, even after we began dating. I hid Shun away and didn’t show him properly to the world that he was mine. Even as Jinny, I still wasn’t honest with myself. I was afraid things would change, but now…” Jin looked at him and Shun was really trying not to cry, “I want to show the world how much I love him.”
“Jin,” Shun whispered moved and loved, “I love you too.”
They kissed softly before the camera for the first time as Suu Jin and Xiong Shun.
“It certainly looks like you two have chemistry,” Allie spoke up, “But aren’t you moving on too fast, Xiong Shun? You were with Gina for awhile and even kissed and made out on Kandy Variety Show.”
“…”
“…”
Shun… He forgot that he even kissed Gina.
“I, uh…” he sounded and Manager Ling had held up a paper for him to see, “Like I said, things were complicated between Gina and I. I still care for her, but our relationship was… I just knew that Ah Jin is really the one for me.”
“We had a fight because I was afraid,” Jin added, “And Shun did the right thing. He did what he thought was best for me. It was… I missed Shun everyday that he was away. I don’t ever want that again.”
“I see,” Allie hummed, “Then Gina was just a rebound. What a small world that Gina dated both of you and now you both ended up together.”
“You’re right!” Shun exclaimed not realizing it fully, “That’s… wow.”
“Speaking of which,” Allie paused for a moment for the men to gather themselves, “Let’s talk about the past. Do you need a break before we begin?”
Shun looked at Jin and the pinkette dropped his shoulders with a sigh. Nodding, Suu Jin left the music room and headed to his room. He waited for his idol prince and Suu Jin returned with an envelope in his hand. There was a sad forlorn look on his boyfriend’s face and Shun already knew what it was.
Genu’s letter.
“Ah Jin…” he said softly wrapping his arms around the pinkette when Jin sat down.
“This is Genu’s letter. I never read it, but… I should.”
Everyone perked up besides Shun. The idol prince had never spoken about it before because the man would just brush it off. The rumors of Genu’s letter, of the past, even Manager Yaotzu didn’t know about.
“Are you sure you want to…” Shun tried his best to be consoling and there for his lover.
Jin nodded and opened the letter. It was time. Although he should be reading this alone, he trusted those around him enough to do so. There was no more hiding.
Ripping the envelope open, he pulled out the paper and unfolded it. Just seeing Genu’s handwriting already made his emerald eyes watered. His heart was clenching like the day he heard of his friend’s passing. Shutting his eyes and taking a deep breath, he tried to calm himself before he tried to read it again.
“Ah Jin,” Shun touched his face, “I can read it for you, baby.”
“Heh,” Jin breathed out a smile and nodded.
Shun kissed him and took the letter from his hands. The silver haired male stared at the paragraph and glanced at his lover. Jin nodded again and Shun took a deep breath to start.
“Suu Jin, I miss you. I’m sorry. Please stop ignoring me. We can pretend it didn’t happen, but you are my best friend. I don’t want to lose you, but if you think it is better to not even be friends then tell me! I can’t stand you hating me,” Shun read softly.
"Do you remember the drawing I made? I made a better one! Look! Tell me it sucks. Tell me it looks like a kindergartener again. Please! I just… I miss you. Pengu and Yanny are mad at you and I said it was my fault you left but they don’t believe me. I tried, Jin.
Oh! My mom had told me the doctors said I was doing better! Maybe I can come to your concert now and support you like we promised. Will you say hi? I think you will. Maybe your phone is just broken or lost so I will send this letter!
I’ll bring my mom’s chocolate cookies! They are your favorites still, right? See you soon!
Love, Genu (^_^)”
Shun finished and looked to see Jin had his head lowered and a hand covering his eyes. The pinkette’s body was shaking and Shun placed the letter down to hold his boyfriend. Rubbing his lover’s back, he looked over at the other’s to see them looking away and down. Shun closed his eyes as he leaned his head against his lover’s temple.
He held Jin until the idol prince stopped shaking. When Jin pulled away, Shun wiped his lover’s tears from reddened eyes. He kissed the sadness and hurt away as much as he could.
“Thank you,” Jin offered a watery smile and Shun smiled back, “I’m going to fix my face.”
Shun nodded again and watched Jin head out of the room again with the letter back in its envelope. He felt… Shun felt guilty.
He could tell how much Jin loved Genu and how much Genu loved Jin just from the letter alone. If… If Genu was fine and never gotten killed, would Suu Jin even be with him? Would they had met? If they did, he was sure he would come to like Genu as well. He would see Genu and Jin happy together and maybe Jin wouldn’t had been so scared to show the world. The pinkette wouldn’t have been with Gina and hurt by her.
‘I… Why am I happy that Genu is dead? I shouldn’t be…’
