His face was cupped and he blinked back into reality. Green eyes, still slightly red, stared at him with furrowed brows.
“Are you alright? Feeling sick?”
Shun swallowed thickly and it hurt a bit, but he nodded. Smiling and placing a placating kiss on his idol prince’s face, Jin sat beside him again and sighed.
“Let’s begin.”
“Are you sure?” Allie questioned and seeing both men nodded, she checked to see if the camera was still recording before she began.
“Suu Jin, you were part of 1Luv, a young group that consisted of you, Pengu, Yanny, and Genu. Can you tell me why you left? Was there trouble in the group?”
Shun squeezed his lover’s hand.
“There was no trouble, Miss Allie,” Jin looked away for a moment, “I was selfish and stupid. I thought it was better to leave because of a miscommunication. I won’t say I regretted it, because I am happy where I am now and with so many support, but… I wished I spoke to them about how I felt instead of running away.”
“Ah, so the problem is you?”
“Yes,” Jin sighed and looked at the reporter, “It always had been me. Pengu and Yanny were right. I have my issues and I was a terrible team member. Those who came out to talk about how rude I am, how mean I could be, and me throwing tantrums were right. I did all those and I regret behaving like that. I’m still learning and growing. I hope my fans understand I am just a human like them.”
“Human with a lot of money and fame,” Allie added and Jin thinned his lips, “Now, something everyone wants to know is Genu. There had been rumors saying you two were more than friends and you were the one who killed him. Is that true?”
Shun felt his hand was squeezed tightly, so he placed his other over it to calm his lover. Jin glanced at him and he smiled, hoping it eased the pain of lost love within Suu Jin.
“Yes,” Jin spoke softly as he turned to look at the reporter.
“Care to explain?”
“I loved him, but it scared me. I am sure Pengu and Yanny knew our feelings for one another, but I was so focused on getting big, reaching the top, that I left everyone behind. Genu… He was my best friend. I left him too.”
Jin’s voice cracked at the end and he stopped himself from continuing. Clearing his throat, he turned away and covered his lips, hoping he wouldn’t cry again.
“Suu Jin, how is any of that your fault?” Allie questioned softly, “You were young and still growing. Lots of people leave others behind. It is part of growing up.”
“I understand where you are coming from, Miss Allie,” Jin stared off, “But if I had been more honest with myself and my brothers, maybe our relationships would be better and Genu wouldn’t be… dead.”
It was quiet and they waited for Suu Jin to continue. This feeling… It was exactly how Shun felt with Prince Peter. It hurts and was so painful, Shun felt guilt and sorrow.
‘Is this how Jin is feeling right now?’
“I will do better,” Jin whispered and offered a smile, “I wrote him a song.”
“You did? Want to play it?” Allie questioned and Jin stood up. Shun followed him to the piano and smiled at seeing the pinkette behind the instrument again. It had been a long time since he had seen his lover play it in person. The last time was when they kissed a second time. The time when he absolutely knew he was going to lose his heart again.
Suu Jin began playing a soft melody as his green eyes closed for a moment. The pinkette opened his eyes and began singing in his angelic tone.
“When we were young and you were here with me. We played, we sing to our own heartbeat. Do you remember when you said to me. ‘Don’t be sad, when I’m gone.’”
The press of the piano key’s went lower before pausing, then Suu Jin continued playing once again.
“No matter where you are, I’ll remember you. Up in the stars, you’re guiding me. Like the candlelight, you light my way. My blue heart turns red.”
Shun listened to the lyrics, listened to the song, listened to the way Jin sounded, and watched the way the man looked. It was painful and his heart was hurting again. Shun wondered if… If Genu was the princess from his kingdom, the one Prince Peter kissed and smiled at. Thinking of it only made Shun want to cry, so he shook that thought away.
He needed to be strong for Suu Jin, for his beloved boyfriend.
“Forgive my selfish heart,” Jin sang softly with his eyes shut, “for wanting you here with me.”
The melody continued and Shun had to look away. Jin just… He looked so sad and lost and there was nothing he could do to help him! He was a terrible boyfriend! Maybe, maybe he could talk to the witch to help. Maybe Genu could somehow come back to life or maybe turn back time.
“That was beautiful,” Allie whispered with watery eyes.
“Thank you,” Jin removed his fingers from the keys and let out a sigh. He looked over to see the silver haired male looking away from him.
“Ah Shun.”
“Yeah?” Shun turned to his lover and saw those soft eyes and that beautiful smile.
Soft hand reached out and who was Shun to not reach for it. Hands back in the other, he moved to hold Jin. Pressing a kiss to his lover’s temple, Shun worried his bottom lip for a moment. He had also wrote a song for Jin, but was it time to share it? He felt strange to do so, but…
‘I am selfish too, Ah Jin.’
“I wrote you a song.”
“You did?” Jin looked surprised before a chuckle, “I did as well.”
“Really? I want to hear it,” Shun grinned.
“It isn’t finished yet,” the pinkette stated, “Still working on the right words for the bridge.”
“I can share you mine,” he grinned and his lover nodded, pecking his lips.
