The card game consisted of werewolves, a witch, a hunter, and the rest were villagers. Everyone must work together to uncover the werewolves or else they were all dead. The game got heated as they played their third game. Ping Ping was adamant he was not a werewolf, but Wen Dong was suspicious of him. They only had one werewolf left, a witch, and 3 villagers. So, Wen Dong tried to convince the rest that the baby pinkette was the one who was a werewolf.
“You think Ping Ping is sweet, but didn’t you see how vicious he could be? He didn’t even give Marik a chance to tell his side before he was accusing him. He was a villager too.”
“Ah Dong! I am a villager! I wouldn’t be werewolf. I am too cute,” Ping stated and posed cutely, which only earned him more suspicious looks.
“You aren’t helping yourself, Ah Ping,” Shun stated leaning in with brows dipped and a stare.
“Gege!” Ping pouted and Shun tilted his head with a hum.
“I vote Ping Ping,” Wen Dong said with his hand raised.
“You are really pushing Ping Ping as a werewolf, Ah Dong,” Lisa searched his face, “A bit suspicious.”
“Mm, true,” Shun nodded and was staring at him.
More and more accusations and defenses were thrown, before the time to vote happened. Ping Ping was voted out.
“No!” The boy stood up sharply, “Why?! I am the witch! You killed me,” he cried and huffed as he sat back down.
“What?!” Shun looked shocked and turned to Wen Dong who was also looking with surprise.
“I guess the game is over then,” Lisa sighed, “This was a hard one.”
“Who was the werewolf?” Shun looked around and Kola grinned showing her card.
“Gotcha!”
The house erupted into laughter and groans. Eventually, people were saying their goodbyes and Wen Dong thanked them all for coming to celebrate with him. Hugging Shun tightly, he told his best friend to let him know the moment they were letting people see the babies. He couldn’t wait to meet his nephew and niece. Ping Ping wanted to spend the night, but Wen Dong shook his head.
“Next time, baby Ping,” he hugged him tightly, “Thank you. I love you.”
Ping Ping felt his entire face warm up like the heat of the sun. His heart was racing so fast and he hugged Ah Dong tighter. This was the first time in a very long time since Wen Dong said those three words. His friend pulled away and kissed his forehead, lingering lips there for a long time.
“Good night, Ah Ping,” Wen Dong smiled and cupped his face, staring into his eyes that seemed to be for so long, Ping Ping was fine giving up sleep to burn the look his good friend was giving him.
By the time he got into Xiong Shun’s car, he couldn’t help staring at Wen Dong who was waving as they drove off. He continued to look out the window and even turned to watch out the back windows. He couldn’t see Wen Dong anymore, but he continued to see that look. What was that look and why did it make Ping Ping feel like it was so perfect.
“Didi,” Shun chuckled, “Sit properly.”
“Gege,” Ping slowly did as asked, “I… Ah Dong said he loves me.”
“Of course he does,” Shun nodded as he drove down the street, “He always loves you, Ah Ping.”
“But… He never looked at me like…”
Shun glanced over to see big green eyes staring at him with a sort of awe and sparkles. He found his lips quirking up as he quietly let his didi sit with that feeling. Heading to the little pinkette’s home, he pulled up and parked the car. Smiling over at Ping Ping, he placed a hand to his shoulder.
“That look… How did it make you feel?”
“Special,” Ping’s ears reddened and Shun gushed.
“That’s because Ah Dong really, really loves you, Ah Ping. Remember what Ah Jin and I told you, though. Don’t rush it, okay?” Ping nodded and Shun pinched the boy’s cheek, “Go on and head home. Tell your mama and baba hello for me.”
“You don’t want to come in?” Ping Ping asked and Shun shook his head.
“I was going to, but I missed my babies,” he rubbed the curly locks, “You just made me miss them more.”
Once Shun was sure Ping had entered his home, he pulled away and drove to Jin’s home. It still felt weird to say his home or their home. Shun couldn’t fight the smile on his lips as he continued down the road back to Suu Jin and the babies.
When he finally arrived and entered the home, Suu Jin was already waiting for him. The babies were put to bed because it was late in the night, but Jin had stayed up just to welcome him home. Holding Jin, Shun couldn’t help how loved he felt. Kissing his lover’s lips, he smiled and stared at Jin lovingly.
“How was Ah Dong’s party?”
“Good, but I missed you,” Shun smiled and held Jin tightly.
“Eh? Just me?” Jin nipped his cheek and held his waist as they walked into the bedroom.
“I miss the babies too,” Shun looked over and headed to the crib. Their sleeping faces made his heart warmed like a bubble bath. He reached out and hovered over the chubby cheeks of the little ones. Smiling softly, he went to change and get reading for bed.
Jin was already in bed by the time Shun returned from the bathroom. Sliding in, Shun huddled close to Jin and placed his head on the warm chest. His arm was thrown over his lover’s stomach and a leg crossed over the pinkette possessively.
“How is your status, Ah Shun? Is it better?” Jin whispered running fingers through his silver locks.
“It’s moving, but I would have thought it would increase much faster,” Shun admitted, “But I have time. Everything will work out.”
Jin didn’t say anything as he rubbed soothing circles against the back of Shun. Once the man was snoring, Jin sighed and stared at the ceiling. He ran across Shun’s notebook full of words like a diary when he was cleaning up. It hurt him to know Shun was feeling confused and lost because of him. He had an appointment to meet with his therapist tomorrow, so he planned to take Shun with him.
It would be good for the both of them, but then… who was going to stay with the twins? It hadn’t been two months yet…
