6 Messing

"What is pursuing you?You look like someone who has just seen a ghost."Ritah said while looking closely at Henrietta,she was curious to know,what mistake she had done, for Jeremy to scare her to that extent.

" Madam is it possible for you to take me to a different department?I'm very hardworking and won't disappoint you."Henrietta requested without even thinking." You have not even started your very first assignment and you want to go to a different department? You sound ridiculous,what trouble have you gotten into?"

" No problem at all madam, pardon my manners,I will go right away to call young master." said Henrietta.When she turned to head upstairs she bumped right into Jeremy,beads of perspiration ran down her face,she took few steps back and stood aghast with her mouth wide open,her heart was about to come out of her well modelled body.

All the servants together with Ritah who witnessed the scene were shocked.Henrietta trembled frightfully,she wanted to say something but no word came out of her mouth,instinctively she ran out of the building as fast as a deer.Without thinking Jeremy ran after her and was hot on her heels,finally he caught her,in an instant the clouds burst out, letting out a torrent of icy drops.

"I'm sorry sir I don't no why I keep on messing everything up." Henrietta said."I'm hungry get inside the house,next time don't stomp outside the house at night just as you did today,all the German shepherds are on the loose from 8:00pm in this compound." "Okey sir kindly give me two minutes to change my clothes,they are all wet."Mm " Jeremy responded.

Jeremy went into the the house as Henrietta headed to a nearby changing room,after 10 minutes Jeremy was comfortably sitting in the dining table waiting to be served.Ritah was surprised because Jeremy always chose what he wanted to eat and always put food into the plate himself,she was sure Jeremy was making things difficult for the new servant.When Henrietta came in, she just stood at the dining room ,she had been informed that Jeremy always served himself but when two minutes passed without Jeremy showing any effort of serving ,she was confused of what to do next,she said a silent prayer,picked a plate,put every meal on the table small portions each and placed the food in front of Jeremy.

Ritah was just observing without interfering,all was silent as a grave,Henrietta with her blue eyes as open as a day she looked Jeremy straight in the eye and told him to enjoy his meal.Jeremy obediently started eating without any fussy.Madam Ritah heaved a sigh of relief,they all eat quietly and when all were full .Henrietta cleared the table and her work for that night was over.

Henrietta woke up early than usual,she wanted to give her very best services,of what had happened the previous day she didn't want to recall any of it.She took a bath tied her hair into a pony tail,put her well ironed fitting uniform and went to the main kitchen to start her work.Breakfast was not yet ready,she took all that was needed for breakfast and lain them at the dining table.

She saw Jeremy coming towards the house in his gym wear,absent mindedly she stared at him,until he entered the house,when she come back into her senses,Jeremy was already almost near his bedroom."What is wrong with me? I didn't even greet him,I hope he didn't notice me,God help me this work us so simple but my mind keeps getting blank whenever this beast is around."

After 15 minutes Jeremy was already in his office wear,he looked good in everything he wore,without taking even a single glimpse at Henrietta,he sat down and waited for Henrietta to serve him,since Henrietta didn't know his preference,she just served him what she could eat herself, given the chance.
