Chapter 16：Don’t Expect Me To Love You

Aslan's heartbeat start racing again. The last information she tell him make him feels…sad…regret..and the feeling of guilty.

If only that day, he met her on time or earlier, all of this will not happening to her. She wouldn't have to suffer this. Is this the reason why she refuse him the last time? She was hurt because of my lateness?

"Hey..Say something.." Athena back to her seat and divert her eyes to the huge television on the living hall. Continue to watch the anime.

"I need to do something. I will return back once I done." he stand up and went to the bedroom at the first floor.

Athena didn't say anything. She also move to the living room. She just watched him going up and then a few minutes later he went down, ready to go.

"I'll be leaving now." he went to her on the couch as he bent his body a little and kiss her forehead.

"Bye."

Athena was dumbfound a moment. She blink her eyes a few times. 'Huh? That was fast of him to change his attitude.'

Ignoring the thought, she turn off the television and went to the wooden sliding door panel and press the button for the gallery room. She start to work on her final touch.

At the south of foreign country.

Yin Li was walking at the market in the alleyways. He look at the various kind of food and fruits. The view is such a colorful for him.

After he walk a few step ahead, he finally halt his pace. He turn around and look at the people around him. He run his eyes until it stop at one of woman in disguise. Wearing a hoodie and she even wear a face mask. Her long hair make him hard to look at her face clearly.

However, his instinct telling him that is his wife. The wife that he already abandon a few months ago.

'Shit! How does she find me here?' he cursing and start to walk again. Ignoring her and the people around him. He walk faster and until he arrive at the deserted corner, he hid himself behind one of the wall.

That woman follow him from behind in a safe distance. He keep following him until he went to one of the corner at the deserted building.

When she reach at the corner, suddenly her body was drag and pushed on the hard wall. He cover her mouth with one of his hand, while his other hand lock her move with a knives on her neck.

"Leave me Aurora." Yin Li said once he able to catch Aurora.

Aurora smirk behind the mask. She look into his eyes deeply before she said. "Never. Not in a million years."

Aurora burst into laugh. She then lift up her legs and smack his balls.

Clang!

His small knives fall on the ground and he curled up on the street, holding his balls with both of his hand.

"Are you crazy?!" he bristle.

"No. Try to threaten me? Heh.." she squatted down and poke his shoulder.

"Only me can threaten you." she whisper to him.

Yin Lin shot her a glare. "Crazy woman, I don't love you. Leave me alone." he grit his teeth.

Aurora startle for a bit. There is no way she's not hurt by his word. However, she is not someone who can easily broken just because of his word.

"Deal with it. You already my husband. There is no way I let you go." she stand up and look at her nails.

After the pain dissipate, Yin Li stood up and left the alley. Aurora still following him from behind. But the distance is shorter than before. He didn't say anything either. He knew Aurora is hard to deal with. If she said so, then it must be so.

Stubborn, crazy, boyish, bullies everything that is not a good vibe as woman is how Yin Li describing her. Since they were young, he always being her pet. If he refuse, he will surely get bullied or even got hit by her.

"If I can make you leave me with this way, then I will do the soft yet torturing way." he mumbles alone.

"Huh? Did you say something?" Aurora ask from his behind.

Turn to look at her, he squinted his eyes and plunge out his tongue.

"Stupid, crazy, monster, ugly woman!" he said in one breath.

Aurora clench her fist and punch his cheek hard.

Bonk!

"Say that again, I'll broke all your teeth."

Yin Li touch his cheek. He whimpering. "Ouch! Damn you!" he continue to walk again.

After 15 minutes walking, Yin Li stop at the front demode house. He take out his keys and open the door. Aurora follow him inside.

Aurora gasp seeing where he live in for months. This house so small. It only consist one bedroom on the second floor, one small living hall, small kitchen and small bathroom. Everything so small and cramped. The whole house is like the size of her bathroom.

"Don't like it? Then you are welcome to return to your fancy life." he smirk and went to the kitchen. He place all the ingredient he bought earlier before they went home.

Aurora close her mouth which is widely open before. She squinted her eye to him.

"What happen to you? You're not this indigent, aren't you?" she ask and went to the kitchen too.

"No, I am poor. You had delusional when we still at Imperial City." he said as he wash the tomatoes in the sink.

"But, I give you a lot of money. You even working fine. Where's my money that I gave you? We can buy a better house than this."

"Your money? Oh, I already give it to the charity house. My salary? Ermm..I used it all to make my escape way from you." he said nonchalantly.

Aurora was so shock with what he just said. "What??!"

"What, what?" he ask and take the cutting board. Starting to slicing the tomatoes and carrot.

"You give to charity house? I gave you 2 million dollar!" she yelled.

"Hmm..2 million for buying me to get married to you? How many time do I have to tell you? I don't love you. You can't even buy me with your money. Your dirty money I already clean it by giving to the charity. It's good though when you can help people with your money rather than buy me to be your husband."

Aurora was so furious. But then, she endure her anger before she really regret to kill him later and she went and sit down on the stool facing him.

"So, what did you do right now?"

"I working as a waitress at night and a cashier at convenient store at day."

Again. Aurora was dumbfounded.

"If you can't stay with the way I'm living. You can fill the divorce paper and leave me alone, you know. Return back to your fancy life. You're not belong here."

"Huh? You think I'll be that easy? I'll prove it to you that I can live like this." she smirk to him. While in her heart she feel so uncomfortable with the looks of this house.

"Then, you should start with the duty of wife. You wanna be my wife so badly right? All you have to do is cleaning the house, do the laundry, prepared me with a breakfast and dinner, prepare me a hot bath and yeah. Satisfied me on bed every night." he almost done with his cooking.

Aurora turn silent. She never do anything like that before. All has been prepared for her. She didn't have any knowledge about the housewife work.

While Yin Li already grinning evilly inwardly. 'Hah! Take that! You will surely run back to your old house!'

"O-kay." she reply after a quite long she been silent.

"What?" Yin Li ask.

"I said. I will take that challenge.. everything can be learn right?"

'She really stubborn! Witch!'

"Fine. Let's live as a husband and wife. But don't expect me to love you. I really don't have any feeling for you." he finish the cooking and scoop it to the plate.

"Fine by me." she shrugged her shoulder while waiting for her dinner.
