Chapter 36：It's Your Call To Make

After Aslan calm down a bit, he back to sit at the chair and Athena sit on the armrest laying her hand on the back of Aslan body.

"Jye Yin, whatever happened last night, I am really sorry. I will face the media and make an apology statement. Clearing your name. I'll take the blame." Aslan tries to control his voice to be calm.

"Its okay Aslan, my career is not that important. I still can make a living. They will forget about it in a month or two." she said sadly.

"How about..you guys announce your relationship as a couple? I think it is not an issue. I mean, we live in a modern age, sleeping with boyfriend or girlfriend is normal these days." Athena gives a suggestion.

Aslan is a bit shocked. He immediately turns his gaze to Athena.

"No, no. I do not agree with that. I'm married, and you're my wife. I don't wanna telling lies to people out there." Aslan rejecting her idea.

Jye Yin wipes her corner of eyes, "Its okay Athena. We just friend. We're not gonna take to that way."

"She's right. Just stick with my idea."

Athena went silent. What else can she say? If Aslan doesn't want, then there is no use for her to force.

They went back to Athena's home and pack her clothes. Tomorrow morning, they will return back to Arendell.

Aslan still sitting on the couch looking at the floor blankly since they returned from the hospital. He must be shocked by the result.

Athena's heart is not made by diamond. It can easily break too like other girls. She has been suppressing her feeling for too long. She wants to cry, but it will only make Aslan feel sad. So she bottles up her feeling and tries to bury it deep down her heart.

At night, Aslan hugs her tightly like he was afraid that she might leave him. Even though both of them never say a word 'love' to each other, but their action is the only way they showing it to express how they both love each other. But they neglect the important things. Human likes to hear what they want to hear. With only a word could make them feel assure and safe.

Early in the morning, they fly back to Arendell. All along the way, they didn't say anything but Aslan didn't let go of her hand too.

They went to the Sun House. It's a name that Aslan didn't know who choose it. All he knows, it's already named it that way.

Ding dong!

Aslan presses the ring bell button on the door.

Open the door, Rachael, his sister immediately hug him.

"Brother!"

"Whoa! You are heavy. Don't cling on me." Aslan smile to his sister.

Rachael then turns and look at Athena, she gives her a hug.

"Athena, nice to finally meet my sister-in-law," she said.

Athena smile and Aslan lead her inside the house.

Just when he reached the living hall, his mother throws him a thick book to his head.

"Aslan!!" his mother yelled makes all of them flinch a bit.

He didn't dodge, but it was blocked by Athena.

She catches the book and put it down to the table.

Hazel went to them and shot a glare to her son. She then goes to Athena and hugs her dearly.

"Oh my god, Athena..I'm so sorry for my son behalf. He acts recklessly and messes up everything." Hazel said with an apologetic voice.

Rachael beside them didn't say anything. She also feels sorry for her sister-in-law. But she didn't believe that her brother will do something like that too.

Her sister-in-law was so perfect with a beautiful face, beautiful skin, even got a beautiful body figure. Any guys who cheat on her was totally dumb. She is also very soft and so ladylike to her eyes.

"It's okay, mother. I believe Aslan didn't do it." she smiles.

"Oh, my god…your voice was so cute. You rarely talk and to hear your voice is such a wonderful feeling." She also smiles.

"And you Aslan! I'm still not done with you!" she turns to look at her son.

Aslan didn't say anything. He was in the wrong position. So saying something will not make any difference though.

After his mother went back to her lab, he leads her to his room on the second floor for a rest before they have dinner.

"Come in."

Athena looked at the interior of his room. The wall is painted with sky blue color and there it was decorated with the hanged plane's figure on the ceiling and there's a lot of ships prototype too.

"You really like plane and ships huh?"

"Yes, I am."

"Your room…"

"I never used it after I move to my own house. After dinner, we go to my house." he slips her hair behind her ears.

"Mm."

"You wanna take a bath first? We might return to my home a bit late tonight."

"Yeah, I think I'm a bit smelly." she went to her luggage.

"Okay. I will be waiting for you downstairs."

Athena nod before she went to the bathroom.

Aslan went down to the hall and that's when his father just arrives home. He loosens his tie and looks at Aslan.

"Can we talk?" Andy said to his son.

Aslan nod as he follows his father to his study.

"Is it about the scandal?" Aslan starts once they went inside the room.

"Yes. So, tell me... did you or did you not, do it?" he ask in a serious tone.

Aslan went silent. He doesn't know how to answer his father question.

"I..I don't think I do it. I didn't have any memory about that night." he took a seat in front of his father.

"Your instinct?" Andy still asking him.

"I didn't do it."

"Okay. I believe you. But tell me what exactly happens?" he softens his voice.

"It was hazy..but the thing I remember is I talk to Jye Yin at the party and then suddenly my eyes turn black, my mind turns blank and the next things I remember is I wake up on the bed with her beside me. Naked and all the setup shows like I really did 'that' thing to her."

"And then?"

"****? She said she was raped?" Andy's eyes turn a bit wider.

Aslan nod. He continues again. "The DNA result on the cement is… mine. But…really pa, I don't think I do it. There's no way I would do it." he rubs his face. He really looks a bit messy.

Andy silent for a quite long before he continues. "And Athena?"

"She said she trusts me and will stay at my side. But I know, she must be hurt too."

Andy sighing. What other option for him to help his son? "You know Zoro right?"

Aslan nod.

"Did he knew about this?"

Aslan shrugged his shoulder. "I'm not sure."

"Ask him for help. Trace the video on that night. Or everywhere that Jye Yin has been doing and going."

Aslan dumbfounded a moment. "Pa, she's been my friend for years. There's no way she would trap me like this. There must anyone else who did this to us."

He really trusts her. Who wouldn't trust their best friend if they already been friends for years??

Andy sighs heavily.

"I already give you my opinion. The rest is yours to settle. I don't blame you. But Aslan, our cement didn't just spurt out like that unless it's been triggered or maybe someone has been faking it using your DNA. It's your call to make." He pats on Aslan's shoulder before he went back to his room.
