Chapter 50：How Much Your Life Span Left?

They landed at dusk. After landing, they went to Aslan's grandparent's house together with his family.

His grandpa is still alive and now already old enough. He's been sick lately maybe because of his age and his workload. He passes half of the asset to her mother-in-law, but then she transfer it to Aslan and the other half is passed to his wife.

Hazel refuses to take her part of share because she had enough with her husband's wealth. She doesn't like to be the center of public attention. She had the same kind feeling like Athena which also hates to be the center of the public.

"Master Andy, Madam Hazel, Master Aslan, welcome home.." one of the butlers greet him and then he turns to look at the woman beside him

"This is my wife...Athena. " He said and place his hand around her waist.

"Madam Athena, welcome." He bows and takes the luggage to their room upstairs.

He is Mr. Brandon's grandson. Alec. He's been working here since after he graduated from high school. Mr. Brandon has retired and lived with his wife near the city.

"Alan.. Hazel and Aslan... Oh my...I missed you all... Wow, my girls already big.." Mr. Jokovic smiles seeing his family returning home. He walked with the walking stick and guided by his wife, Laura. She smiles at all the family.

"Dedushka!" Rachel and Raisya run to him and hug their grandparents.

"Be careful girls.." Andy said while walk with his wife to greet his family-in-law.

Aslan also does the same. He brings Athena to other family members and introduces her to everyone.

Athena put on a smile on her face. All the family members seem quite friendly with the kids playing around the house and the chatting sounds make the mansion more lively.

Suddenly she feels like she misses her family. Oh well, maybe after new year she can go back to Imperial city and visit her family.

They went to the dining room when the servants had done preparing the dinner.

Sit down beside Aslan, she looks at the table which is full of food and various dishes.

"Are you hungry?" Aslan smile seeing her staring at the food.

Athena nod. "So much choice."

Kiss her cheek, he said, "let's eat." He put a slice of turkey on her plate and scoop baked bean soups to her bowl.

"You both look so happy. You guys already married for half a year right? So when can we hear the news about the little one from you guys?" Auntie Natasha smile while looking at both of them.

Athena stop munching and turn to look at Aslan. Aslan also dumbfounded by the question.

"I still want my daughter-in-law to enjoy their time together. I don't mind if I'm not having grandchildren right now. They still young, right Aslan?" Hazel asks smiling to him.

Natasha smile and nod.

Aslan nod and caressing Athena's hand.

"Well, Auntie Nat, my brother soon will have a child. So don't worry. Who knows maybe next year we can bring another one family member." Raisya said without thinking.

Hazel squinting her eyes toward Raisya. While Athena just keeps silent. She suddenly feels full right now, even though she just eat a little.

"Raisya, don't spurt nonsense," Andy warns his daughter.

Rolled her eyes, she continues to fork her asparagus on the plate. Rachael looks at Athena with pity.

"Well, that's good news then. "

"Ah..no..It just something that Raisya randomly said. Athena's.."

"It doesn't matter. As long they have thought of having children, even though they still want to live as a couple, but who knows..in a year or two we'll have a baby again in this house." Casey, Vladimir's wife said with a cheerful voice.

Athena smile slightly when seeing all the family member is looking at her and Aslan.

'Unfortunately, I can't make those dream come true.'

"Ah! Raisya look! Look!" Nadine, daughter of Natasha shriek a bit when she scrolling her phone screen.

"What is it?" Raisya diverts her eyes to her.

"It's Jye Yin! They said that Jye Yin is now pregnant. There's a picture of her walking out from the ob-gyn clinic. Here, look." she showed the content to Raisya.

Wipes her corner of lips with the cloth, Athena whisper to Aslan.

"I don't feel so good."

She turns to everyone and said, "Pardon me, I need to go upstairs right now." She tries to smile.

Grab her hand, Aslan also stood up and excuse himself from the dining hall. His grandparents didn't say anything either. Hazel and Andy also lowered his eyes and tried to not make the other member feel awkward.

Of course, they all know about his scandal with Jye Yin. However, they keep silent and act like nothing had happened.

Aslan opens their bedroom door.

Once they went inside and close the door, he wraps his hand around her waist from behind and leaned his head on her shoulder.

"Sorry..it must have hard for you."

"Hey As, I'm okay..I'm not that weak you know.." she smiles and turns her body around, facing him.

Lifted up his head, Athena look into his eyes. "It just..I can't give you any children. Are you sure you really want us to stay like this together? You can have a better life if it's true Jye Yin pregnant with your child. I can sign.."

Aslan covers her mouth using his hand. Not wanting her to continue anymore.

"Don't. I won't leave you." He said with a serious expression on his face.

Sighing, Athena nodded.

Once Aslan lowered his hand again, she said "I just suggesting. I won't hold down your future if it can lead you to your happiness."

Smiling, he kisses her lips. 'You are.. my happiness.'

After some time, he releases the kiss.

"Are you really okay?"

"Ehm...I just had my period cramp. It seems my period come early this month."

"Period..means…" his face turn pale.

"Hey, why you suddenly turn pale?" she tilts her head.

"Blood.."

"Oh! Don't worry. My period is irregular. They only come three months once, and since my blood can't be wasted like that. I take a pill that will reduce the blood quantity and shorten the period days to one or two days only. So I just losing at least two or three years of my life span." she explains.

"How much your life span left?"

"Urm..around twenty or less. Maybe."
