Chapter 49：My Pillar And My Umbrella

While in Arendell,

Hazel sit on her bed while applying her night cream she said to her husband.

"I pity Athena. She might experience the feeling that I feel back then. Why he needs to follow his father's doing?"

"Hmm. I don't know what to say either. I believe he didn't do it. But all the leads and proof are lead to him." Andy feels a bit sad too.

"She maybe suffers from depression later if we ignore it. I need to take action." Hazel said again. This time she already went to her husband's side.

"Yeah, maybe we should give them our support. I hope they didn't end up divorcing though."

"Hmm.."

The next morning,

Athena wakes up in Aslan's embrace. She still felt a bit sad from the news yesterday. While Aslan still sleeping, she stares at him.

Like she was searching the truth from his face while he was sleeping. She trusts him. Well, she still wants to stay with him for a little bit longer.

She closed her eyes and keep reminding her heart to be tough and always be patient to whatever outcomes in the future. She doesn't want to hurt him again by turning to 'gin' mode like last time. She needs to control herself.

With that way of thinking, she able to smile and snuggling into his embrace searching for the warm spot.

"Mm...Thena..you wake up?" he said half asleep when he feels like Athena move closer to him. Space is limited, if she keeps pushing him, he might fall down from the bed.

"..no.." She replies.

"If no, then, why did you reply my question huh?" he smiles with her adorable reaction. Even though he did not open his eyes.

"I..I'm half asleep."

"Really?" he asks and he brings her closer to him. He lowered his head and brings it close to her cleavage. He kisses her softly on the ticklish point.

"Let see..if you are awake or only half asleep." he moves his head to the side and kisses it again.

Athena moans and holds his head from moving to the next step. "As..stop..we're in your parent's house."

She said and Aslan stops. He finally opens up his eyes and kisses her lips.

"Then, should we return to our home today?" he asks.

Athena giggles... She shakes her head.

"No..I want to meet up with your grandfather, Mr. Jokovic. We're going to Russia by today right?" she asks.

Aslan looks at his watch and he nodded.

"Ermm..yeah.."

"Hey, …about yesterday.." Aslan turns to look at her again. His face looks so guilty.

Athena seal his lips with hers for a long kiss. "Don't say anything about it. I said before. I trust you. So, I will stay at your side."

Aslan teary a bit. He covers it by place his face on her shoulder and hugs her body tightly.

"Thanks.."

"Ermm. I wanna take a bath." She said, trying to push him a little bit.

"Can I join too?"

"We did it so many times..give me rest please.." she whimpering with a pamper voice. She knew what Aslan's real intention on 'joining her taking bath' is.

"But, I can't have enough with you."

"Yeah right..suit yourself. Now, get off me... I can't breathe.." she pushes him slowly asking him to moves. Knowing that her reason is rejected by him.

Aslan chuckles seeing she already pouted. He kisses her cheek before he sits up at the edge of the bed.

"Alright...I let you off this time."

Athena lift up her eyebrow. "So soon?"

Alan nodded. He slips her hair strands behind her ear. "Hey Athena..let's face it together okay? I need you as my pillar and my umbrella where I can lean when I'm tired and exhausted, where I can stand on the rainy or a sunny day. Don't leave me alone."

Athena was stun for a moment. It feels like he just confesses to her. It feels like he truly loves her.. did he already fall for her?

Athena smile and cupped his face. "Will you leave me?" she asked while looking at his eyes deeply.

Aslan hurriedly shakes his head. "No."

"Then, I also will not abandon you. Whatever happens in the future, let's stick together." 'for at least, while I still have my time with you.'

Aslan smile and said again. "Can I join you now?"

"Tch! Not a chance." she released her hand and went to the bathroom leaving Aslan sitting on the bed.

Seeing Athena already went inside the bathroom, he sighs heavily.

"Now, what do I do with Jye Yin…"

'I can't leave Athena. I love her. I can't just abandon Jye Yin too. She was my best friend since we were kids..urghhh…this is killing me!'

After Athena and Aslan took a shower and dressed up, they went downstairs.

All the family is already ready to go to Russia. And..there's Jye Yin. Who also in the living room, looking so pale and a bit messy. Well, she is now in the first trimester. Of course, she will have morning sickness.

Athena keeps her face and body gesture in composed. Aslan beside her also does the same.

"Aslan, now is Christmas. Since Jye Yin is pregnant, she should stay at Arendell until we return back, but..she refuses to stay here..so.." Hazel said with a bit guilty.

She didn't hate Jye Yin. But she really not favor her since they're still young. It's just her instinct as a mother.

"Jye Yin, you are now in the first trimester. It's not good for your baby to come along with us. The air pressure during the flight might be harming your baby. Do you want to be the reason for your baby's abortion?" Athena voice out. She said in a polite tone and gentle to her.

Jye Yin diverts her eyes to the floor. Her eyes start to teary.

"But...I don't want to stay alone. I am afraid, what if my fans knew? What will they talk about me and Aslan?"

Aslan wants to reply to her, but Athena's hand grip his hand, making him silent.

"I understand. But by following us to Russia and endanger your baby's life, isn't it a bit too selfish? After all, we also need some time to think about this problem. Let's discuss again when we return back later okay?"

Jye Yin grit her teeth. 'Bitch!! you just create an excuse so that I will not coming right??'

She smiles. She nodded. "I'm sorry about my selfishness. I should be more aware of my condition who is carrying Aslan's child right now."

While the other family just keep silent and watch the conversation between them.

"Sure. Thank you."

"Alright. We'll see you again." Athena smile. While Aslan still keeps silent beside her.

He helps Jye Yin by asking his chauffeur to send her home safely.
