Jay was about to fall asleep. Unlike his usual dressed-up appearances when he headed out, he wore an oversized shirt. His hair was slightly messy after taking a shower. He looked much younger than he usually did, almost as if he was a university student like Maisy. However, she knew that there was a huge difference in their social statuses.

“Mr. Hamilton,” Maisy unintentionally said in a respectful manner. “I think… I’m ready.”

Jay was not wearing his glasses and had to scrunch up his eyes a little to look at the young lady. It made his cold expression look even more dangerous. “And what made you decide that you’re ready?”

Maisy’s expression turned depressed almost instantly. She lowered her head and explained her grandfather’s situation to the man.

When Maisy told Jay that she was prepared, she couldn’t bring herself to look in the mirror as she knew she would see a disgusting face. Not only did she shamelessly beg the man to buy her at a high price from the Aphrodite Club, but she even asked him for money. Her present life was completely different than the life that she used to think she would lead, but she didn’t have any other choices left.

However, no matter how Jay viewed her, even if he thought she was a person without any pride, the dejected girl didn’t care. She was willing to do anything for her grandfather.

“You sure are a good girl,” Jay suddenly commented.

“What?” Maisy raised her head, only for her face to be gently touched by the man’s hand.

“There aren’t a lot of people like you who are willing to give up something for their family,” Jay replied. There wasn’t even a hint of disgust in his voice. Instead, it sounded as if he pitied her.

“Are you willing to help me?” Maisy’s eyes widened up as she had found hope. That was something she had wished for as Jay definitely did have the money to help her.

“Of course, but what are you willing to give up for my help?” asked the man from the Hamilton Family.

Jay recalled his father’s condition as he asked that question. Among him and his two brothers, the first to have a child would succeed their father as the CEO of the Hamilton Group. However, his father had failed to mention anything about who their wives should be. The wives the sons chose didn’t need to be ladies from prestigious families. Compared to the potential brides that his mother was trying to introduce to him, Jay found having Maisy give birth to his child would be much more interesting. Other than that, he was also excited to see how his father, a man of strict authoritarianism, would react after learning the real identity of the mother of his child.

“Anything! I’m willing to give up anything!” Maisy vowed as she gripped her fists tightly, ready to risk everything for the sake of her grandfather’s health.

“Then…” Jay paused, approached the young lady, stopped in front of her, and looked into her eyes. “I can give you anything if you give birth to my child.”

Maisy’s eyes widened even further, but this time from shock.” A-are you joking now?”

At first, Maisy thought Jay would have some weird, kinky sexual request since most men who frequented the Aphrodite Club were searching for something that the normal world deemed weird. However, the man had just said something she had never expected to hear.

She always thought that a successful man like Jay would do their best to avoid leaving traces of them having fun with a lot of women.

“I’m not joking. I’m making a deal with you,” Jay answered.

“Are you serious right now?” Maisy asked, her face now filled with rage. “There should be a long line of women out there waiting to mate with rich and successful men like you! But you decided to make me bear your child, and you are even willing to save my grandfather! It’s like I’m benefiting everything I can out of you… It’s like I’m being rewarded for not doing anything!”

Jay was once again surprised by how innocent Maisy could be. Never did he expect that she would think that giving birth to a stranger’s child was a good thing.

“That’s not the case. At least, in my opinion.” Jay sighed. “Getting pregnant will weaken the mother’s body to a certain degree, and the pain you’ll have to bear for the last few months is worse than you can ever imagine. A lot of women choose to avoid pregnancy because they want to keep their job or maintain their body shape. It seems like you don’t know anything about this, huh?”

The man was actually pleasantly surprised by himself for telling Maisy the truth. He wondered if he had let his guard down because the young lady was just too innocent.

“I-is that so?” Maisy frowned as she had never thought of that. However, after hearing what Jay had told her, she was even more certain that he was a good person as he was a man who thought of the pain that a woman had to suffer from their perspective. At the same time, he had piqued her interest to learn more about him.. “Then, can I ask just one question? Why do you need someone to bear your child?”
