“My grandmother’s health is getting worse by the day. All she had hoped to see was for me and my two older brothers to have children of our own,” Jay explained. “My father loves my grandmother a lot and wants to respect her wish. Thus, he gave me and my brothers a challenge. Whoever gets a child first will become the CEO of our family’s business. Then, there’s my mother who threatened to kill herself if I don’t fight for that position. That’s why I need a child.”

“But… Aren’t you already a CEO of the company?” Maisy was utterly confused.

“I’m only the CEO of the Hotel Management and Food and Beverages Division of the Hamilton Group,” Jay patiently explained to her. “Our family has a lot of other businesses around the world, including aviation, finance, and medical and department stores, to name a few. The CEO of the entire Hamilton Group is the most powerful and influential person in our family.”

Maisy was completely shocked to learn that a family could actually own so many businesses. However, what surprised her even more was the fact that Jay was much richer than she could have ever imagined.

“Don’t you have a girlfriend?” The reason she asked that question was that she always thought that a man like him, who was born into a rich family and was extremely handsome, was usually a player and had not one but a lot of girlfriends. She could not understand why he would ask her to give birth to his child when he had so many other options.

“No.” After breaking up with his previous girlfriend three months ago, Jay didn’t have the time to dabble in the dating world as he was too busy with an acquisition project.

“Why?” the lady asked with her eyes wide.

“Do you have a boyfriend?” Jay answered with another question.

“No.” Maisy blinked.

“And why’s that?”

Maisy frowned as she never really thought about her dating life. All she ever thought of throughout her life was to finish her studies and make a lot of money so that her grandfather could live a comfortable life.

“Do you understand now? Even if I have a lot of good traits, it doesn’t mean I have someone who’s suitable to give birth to my child,” Jay nonchalantly said. “Now, have you decided on your answer about getting pregnant with my baby?”

Maisy could feel her heart starting to race. When she started to carefully think about the man’s proposition a while ago, she didn’t put much thought into how embarrassing it was. However, after hearing his explanation, she got scared.

“Your grandfather is still in the hospital, right?” Jay intentionally reminded after studying the worried expression on the lady’s face.

“There’s nothing to think about! I accept your condition!” Maisy agreed as there were no other choices for her.

To the young lady, giving birth to Jay’s child was much better than working as a prostitute at the Aphrodite Club. At the very least, the man in front of her was rich and good-looking. After giving it a little thought, it was still a good deal for her from various perspectives.

The only problem for Maisy was that she was inexperienced in sex. Most of her friends had at least experienced sex once after starting their university life. Even those who didn’t have a boyfriend had experienced one-night stands with other guys. Yet, for her, she had never done any of those in her life.

“But…” Maisy fumbled and licked her lips as they were dry. “I don’t have any experience. Is that okay with you?”

Jay was shocked by her words at first but quickly followed up with a laugh. Maisy couldn’t help but find his laughing expression attractive. The man had gotten more interested in the lady after hearing that but not in her body. He was curious as to what her brain was made of as he could not fathom why she would think that any man would actually mind if she was inexperienced in sex.

On the other hand, Maisy looked at Jay completely confused. She had no idea why he was laughing. The only thing she could think of was that he was laughing at her still being a virgin at the age of 20.

“No worries. I don’t mind,” Jay said. “I am experienced. I can teach you.”

“That’s good to hear…” Maisy let out a sigh of relief.

Jay smiled again. “Our contract period will be three years. During that three years, you’ll have to give birth to a son for me,” he nonchalantly said, making it sound as if they weren’t coming to an agreement on something indecent.

“Must the child be a boy? Can’t we have a girl?” Maisy raised her head.

“No.” Jay shook his head. He understood his grandmother and father too well to know that they valued a son more than a daughter. Even though he thought that it was ridiculous, it wasn’t as ridiculous as the contract he was about to sign with Maisy.

‘Being rich isn’t that easy either, huh?’ Maisy thought to herself and finally nodded. “Okay. I’ll try my best, but I can’t assure you that I’ll give birth to a boy. I’m not even sure if I can get pregnant. What if…”

Jay immediately stop her from overthinking and assured her, “Don’t fret about that. If you really are infertile, we can talk about it then. During the contract period, I can give you anything you want that money can buy. But if I decide that I can’t live with you any longer, I can terminate the contract without any reason. After giving birth to our son, you’ll get $5 million from me as financial support, but any rights regarding our son will belong to me. Also, you, under any circumstances, have no right to terminate the contract.”

The more Maisy heard about the terms, the more unfair they sounded. There was nothing in there that would benefit her other than money, and she was starting to have doubts..
