Chapter 92 - Envious Child

Seeing Victoria who chaperoned two old men made her cringed. But seeing her being served by Lady Harriet was even more annoying. Lady Harriet is a noble and half royal. She was after all one of the young successful entrepreneurs that her tea was all over the world. Katarina Joan wanted to rush to her and scold her but she had to gather herself and act like a Lady.

She watched as she spoke to Lady Harriet and then, finally they were about to leave. She approached Harriet with a smile.

"Lady Harriet," Katarina smiled at her. Harriet looked puzzled but she smiled.

"Hello,"

"I'm Katarina Parson."

"Oh," Harriet prolonged as she glanced at Victoria. "What can I do for you?" She asked politely as she gave her a kind smile.

"I was just passing by. So, this is part of the branch that was currently opened."

"Yes," Harriet badly wanted her to go away but she didn't want to be rude. "Would you like to try our tea? We have the best sellers."

"Sure. I'll take it out." She said as Harriet pointed to the counter.

"Please," Harriet smiled politely as she gestured to the seats. Katarina gave Victoria laser eyes as she took a seat on the empty table which is three tables away from Victoria.

Her bodyguard stood behind her as she glanced at Victoria who didn't give her much attention. But soon, she'll show everyone how poor she is now. Lots of people still looked up to the Noble people and Royal. There are still people who wanted to cling to noble people and since Victoria wasn't part of their family anymore. Also, her grandmother was letting her join their family business, mostly the fashion boutique. She could make bigger branches than Harriet Astera.

Soon, her order was served to her by one of the waitresses while Harriet sat with Victoria and the two old men who were a little bit familiar. But she had no idea where she saw them and she didn't care about the old men that Victoria was more like babysitting.

They soon leave while she's enjoying her drink accompanied by a dark chocolate dessert. She looked at the woman at the counter that looked like a manager of the cafe. She didn't finish her food as she paid for it on the waitress that came. She left to check on their tailoring shop. But she didn't expect that the shop next to it, one of the most famous brands that were also making clothes for the royals.

"Huh? They are indeed her sugar daddies. I never expect her to screw both."

She crossed her arms as she smiled at the two old men. She then went to the shop and smirked a little bit.

"Victoria," she called as the three looked at her. "I never expect that you'll become a caretaker after you graduate from a prestigious school?"

"What is this girl spewing about?" The King mumbled and he was about to sign the bodyguards but the Duke stopped him.

"Katarina, I'm tired of having such nonsense conversations." Victoria groaned. "If you are bored just call her fiance." She waved at her as the Duke and the King sneered.

"Oh, by the way, you don't have to come on dad's birthday," Katarina said. "It's not like he wants you there."

Victoria didn't flinch but somehow, it hurt her a little right on her chest. But she shouldn't care. She's happy with Kenzo and with her life now without them.

"Okay," she shrugged. It made Katarina a little furious inside but she didn't show it in front of them.

"Also, does your husband know that your job is taking care of old people? Just how much do they pay for your body?"

The King clenched his fist and even the Duke was ready to punish the girl for bullying their granddaughter-in-law.

"How dare you speak so dirty?" A woman speaks behind Katarina. She turned around and frowned.

The manager from the cafe? But looking at the way she dressed, the way she stood, she shivered a little. The woman approached them and stood in front of Katarina with that murderous gaze.

"Don't you speak to Victoria that way! You know nothing, you envious child." Vivien said coldly. "Also, you don't know these old men, don't you?"

"How dare you speak to a noble!"

"I know that you are a noble. Katarina Parson. I wasn't surprised at how your parents raised you." Vivien scoffed, keeping her expression cool but inside, she was raging.

"Wh~Who are you?" She said, almost like a whisper.

"Lady Astera," Victoria took a step closer to Vivien.

"It's alright, dear. This woman needs some lecture. I bet her parents spoiled her and even covered up crimes for her."

Katarina's eyes dilated. Crimes? Her hand was shaking a little bit and her bodyguard stepped forward and then the King's bodyguard positioned behind them quickly. Then, she realized it. Lady Astera? Does it mean that this woman must be the Marchioness? She staggered a little.

"I wonder how you could think that way about Victoria. Dirty things? Didn't you ever think that you were doing something more extreme than what you thought about Victoria?" Vivien smirked at her.

"Let's go," Katarina said as she turned back quickly and her bodyguard followed her.

Vivien sighed. Her heart almost broke and she was happy that she didn't stammer. She's angry and shaking a little bit but she mastered being calm and cool.

"Thank you, Lady Astera."

Vivien's heart became calm as she faced Victoria with a charming smile.

"Dear, you don't have to thank me," Vivien said and Victoria bowed her head. Then, she bowed to the two gentlemen.

"I apologize for what my sister said," Victoria said.

"Chin up, Victoria." The Duke said aloud. She was surprised as she quickly straightened her back and faced the Duke and the King. "You did nothing but accompany us. Don't apologize for such a thing." The way that the Duke said it was strong and royal-like. He's brave and she wished that she was a little braver. "Thank you for standing up to Victoria, Lady Vivien."

Vivien bowed her head.

"By the way, I was meant to give this a while ago." She gave the box to Butler and another cooler. "This is the herbal tea for his majesty and his grace. Also," She pointed to the cooler. "Those are the drinks that I prepared for Kenzo and my friend." She smiled.

"This is too much," Victoria mumbled and smiled politely.

Harriet entered with another cooler.

"I managed to make another!" Harriet said cheerfully.

"We are supposed to buy those," Victoria said, grinning.

"Dear, these are just little things," Vivien said. She was quite happy seeing Victoria smile. "Besides, our visit might be tomorrow. Today is the opening and we have lots of orders and customers."

"We'll be waiting for your visit then." The King said as she bowed her head.

"I'm honored, your majesty."

"Hmm, I think it's quite late. We should head back." The Duke suggested. "We will be waiting tomorrow." The Duke extended her hand to Lady Vivien as he shook it. He then did the same to Harriet.

The time that Victoria exited the mall with the old men, she still thought of the way that Vivien stood up to her. She just wished that her mother was like Vivien. She's jealous of Harriet for having such a wonderful mother.

"Dear, are you thinking of what your sister said to you?" The King asked.

"Uh, no." She shook her head. "Not at all." She pursed her lips to smile. Suddenly, she realized that she almost forgot about the trauma that happened to her. Kenzo wanted her to be comforted and she was comforted by these two old men, Harriet and Lady Vivien.

"Just sent your father an expensive gift." The Duke shrugged.

"That's what I'm planning too. Although, I know that he will ignore my gifts."

"Now, lift that spirit." The King said as he grinned. "From now on, don't let anyone bully you."

Victoria sighed as she smiled at them.

"Thank you."

When they reached the hotel, they entered the conference room that served as Kenzo and Kaisley's office with the lawyers, representatives, and Caleb. They seemed to be busy with the work but Kaisley didn't look well yet she forced herself to work.

"Everyone, take a break." The King said as they all stood and bowed at him. "Also, Kaisley shouldn't get tired, right?"

"I have to sign a few papers, your majesty. Lord Kenzo and Lord Caleb already reviewed it."

Lord? Why did they become a Lord suddenly? Kenzo approached her and kissed her lips.

"Did you have fun?" He asked. She nodded at him. "And you didn't shop for yourself?" He noticed the brands of the paper bags that the bodyguard was holding.

"It's for you." She winked at him.

"It's a good thing that I planned your wardrobe." He mumbled as she gazed up at him, confused.

"We have good cold drinks from the new branch of Marquess's Tea House. Lady Vivien and Lady Harriet gave it." She said as the bodyguards put the cooler over the table while they distributed the adorable 600ml bottles to everyone on the fresh bubble tea that has different flavors.

"Let's talk about it over a hot bath." He whispered and kissed her cheeks.. She flushed from what she said and looked up at him with those twinkling eyes.
