Chapter 247 - 247 The Picture Frame (Part 1)

Peizhi came home with a very menacing look on his face. It was so twisted that people in his residence have never seen their master looking like this. This made them shiver in fright as they lowered their heads in fear of provoking this huge ticking bomb.

Fu Yung heard that her husband had already arrived.

'Why is he so early?' Fu Yung wandered. She was really having a hard time keeping up with Peizhi. He was so cranky and does not say much these days as if he was always deep in thought. She can already guess that this had something to do with his company. Just what could it be?

But despite all of his busy schedule, Peizhi still had time in m.a.k.i.n.g. .l.o.v.e with her almost every night. It always makes her body sore because of how harsh and violent he was as if he was venting his anger all on her. It was really frustrating but she could not say anything.

'Was he that intent on having a second child that he thought that those sleepless nights were not enough and had decided to get home early and push her down the bed?'

As soon as Fu Yung arrived at the end of the end of the stairs, she saw Peizhi cloaked in a loom of darkness. The heaviness in the air made it difficult to breath. She wondered what could have happened that made him this upset.

"You're early." She said, walking toward him to help him get his windbreaker off of him before handing it to the maid.

Peizhi looked at Fu Yung, eyes so vicious that faltered her hands from fixing his tie. This only happened for a second before she regained herself and disregarded his probing eyes. Suddenly, she heard him sigh and pushed her aside and went upstairs.

"Where is Wei'er?" He asked, somehow a little less colder as soon as he thought of his cute son. He was his only son. He was so sensible from young and he knew that he would grow up into such a fine man. Just thinking about his bright future, he could not help but smile slightly.

Fu Yung pursed her lips. She had never been treated so coldly like this by Peizhi. She did not like that at all. After doing all those things to her until she fainted, he still had the nerve of treating her coldly. She could not swallow that at all.

She quickly followed him and waved for the maid to not follow them. Her movements were graceful as her hair swayed smoothly on every move. Despite already having a child, she still had a perfect body and smooth and white skin. This only showed how well she maintained her beauty.

"He's in his room, reading some books."

"Mm." Peizhi nodded his head and went directly toward the direction of Longwei's room.

When they arrived, he knocked on the door lightly but after a moment of waiting, there was no answer from the inside. Peizhi decided to open and when he did, his eyes were full of smiles and warmth, even his heart felt full.

There, Longwei was on his study table, his serious face buried in his book and his small chubby legs swinging one after the other. His brows were furrowed slightly as if he was having a deep thought on something, wanting to solve a difficult problem.

Peizhi shook his head and blinked his eyes. His sharp brows knitted together and lips pursed tightly into a thin line. He lowered his eyes that was flickering and silently closed the door, afraid that he would disturb the little guy in his room. After making sure that the door was closed, he silently went into his study.

All this while, Fu Yung was silent as she looked at her husband acting strangely. Creases were formed on her forehead and followed Peizhi's figure with her eyes. However, she did not follow him to his study. She shook her head and went down into the kitchen to bring food for Peizhi.

'What was that all about?' She thought.

Peizhi closed the door behind him and heavily dropped himself on the chair behind his table. He was in deep thought with his eyes looking into nothing. He did not turn on the lights and just let himself be drowned in darkness. He does not know what time it was, he did not even remember that he had not yet eaten.

It felt like it had already been hours that had passed but Peizhi was yet to broke out of his daze. Moments later, knocks on the door was heard and broken the infinite silence in the study. Peizhi merely glanced at the door and did not say anything.

"Dear, I brought you food." Came Fu Yung's sweet and gentle voice at the same time the door had opened, bringing in light from the hallway into Peizhi's study.

Fu Yung frowned. "Why didn't you turn on the lights?"

She searched for the switch but Peizhi's quiet yet cold voice sounded from the center of the darkness that light was not able to reach. Fu Yung felt weird, scared even. She had never heard Peizhi so cold like this to her. Her hands shook.

"Get out."

'Why is he being like this? Was he losing interest on me? Had he found someone else? Does he have a mistress outside?' Fu Yung instantly shook her head. She believed that Peizhi would never do that to her. He had shown her love and care. What's more, no other women would ever climb into an old man's bed unless they were interested with his money.

"I brought you some food to eat. Have some. It's still hot." She tried again but was stopped again by an annoyed voice of Peizhi.

"I said get out. I'm tired. I want to be alone." Peizhi's voice came out harsher than he had intended to. However, he only pursed his lips and didn't say anything more and just pinched his nose as a growing pain in his head surfaced. "Get out."

Fu Yung's heart shuddered coldly. Her face turned pale but she could not say anything back now that Peizhi was clearly irritated. He had even raised his voice at her.

"…okay." She closed the door.

But then, as soon as she walked a couple of steps away from the study, she heard a loud crash in the study. Her head spun and run toward the study while dropping the tray on her hand.

That sound was as if things were thrown across the room and crashed. Her heart quickened and eyes showed her uneasiness. But before she could open the door, she heard Peizhi's anguished voice tinged with anger.

"Jiao'er!"
