When I got back home, I saw there was no sign of Tinsley in the house.
I checked my phone only then to see if she dropped any texts and she did. It said she went grocery shopping.
I smiled at that thought. She was sacrificing so much to settle with me in a life like this.
After brainstorming so many ideas, I had no luck finding one anytime sooner.
Madison told me to wait and think for a few days before I really hit up with anything else and I always respected her advice.
She did help me settle so many deals in the past so I trust her words. In the meantime, I thought of why not landing a few hands to help my beautiful wife set up this place.
So not thinking much, I picked up my car keys and headed to the town market complex.
It was nothing unusual for me to shop for such items. It only took me back to those times in my college when I did everything on my own from cooking to cleaning.
Although, with time and no connection to such activities for over a decade now, made me confused about what to buy and what not to.
When I was done, I thought of giving a call to Tinsley only to realize that my phone was dead.
I should have charged it last night. This habit of having others to do everything for you was costing me at the moment.
I sighed in frustration and decided to head home with lunch takeaway. Tinsley must be home by this time either way.
Needless to say, I was liking this phrase of life too. Having a beautiful wife to go to home, it was a feeling I had never had when I used to return home from a long day of work.
I was impressed with my shopping. I made sure to buy the mugs and plates, pink in colour, hoping she would like them, not that I liked them at all.
I opened the door and noticed the house was as empty it was like I left. I checked the bedroom and bathroom but she was not there.
I let my phone on charging and waited by the balcony patiently for her to return.
The rain must have been holding her back. Not to forget that this was her first time in life going grocery shopping. I should probably wait.
And when two hours later too, there was no sign of my wife, it started giving me bad vibes.
What if Josh got her back??
I tried to shoo away the disturbing thoughts out of my mind but they kept coming back regardless.
The Chinese takeaway had gone cold by then. I had no mood for lunch anymore and went to take my phone and go look out for her.
On checking my phone, I received the text that she was off with a friend and was now about to have lunch with them.
It made me think who could that friend be? She did not mention to me about having any friends at all.
I chose to wait till she returned and the clock hit four in the evening. I was watching out from the balcony. The rain was still pouring heavily.
Then through the periphery of my view, I saw a white Mercedes Benz pulling in our driveway and out came, Tinsley, holding an umbrella.
She opened the umbrella over her, covering her face, shielding it from the pouring rain.
She leaned in towards the car window and talked with the driver for about a minute or so before it drove away and she stood there, watching it completely go out of her sight and then turned back towards the building.
My palms holding onto the railing which had turned into a fist now was the only thing holding me back in my place, still instead of going down and confront her...roaming around the town with a man...
My blood was boiling. How could she!!! She lied to me about going shopping and then was hanging out with a man the whole day??
I opened the door before she could knock and her bright smile greeted me. I did not bother with it and just snatched the bags from her hands and strode away towards the kitchen.
She closed the door behind her and then followed me with her little steps. I did not turn around to check up on her.
I was just too angry at her. I could not see her without getting reminded of the fact that she lied and was with a stranger this whole time.
While I had skipped work to help her, went shopping to gather things for our house and she dare lie to my face through a text and been lunching with a man!?
A few words were exchanged between us and I could not get angrier getting to know that it was none other than Nathaniel Anderson...fucking Anderson dropped her home!!!
She had been with that bastard all these times while her husband sulked at home, worried about her.
"Are you jealous??"
How dare she ask me that?? How fucking dare!!!
"Why will I ever be jealous?? You are not that important to me...get over yourself."
I spat out, narrowing my eyes and looking away. There we were...we were again heading towards the direction of the gibberish argument.
None had ever dared to talk back to me like her even after she was at wrong here.
"You do not mean that...I m important to you...I m your wife, Kian."
She cried the last part as a child, angry for not being listened to. I did not give two fucks about her right now.
"If you are my wife, stop throwing yourself at men first."
I snarled and then opened the door, walked out, closing it behind in a thud and went out for a run in the dark and rain to clear my fucking mind.
