Chapter 127 - In the conquest of naive people's hearts!

Maya smirks at her sentence mockingly "As if they would really worry for your griviences! Stop taking their sides, Sarah. They were doing unjust with you before! Stop being a stupid and don't you ever take their sides like this. I will personally punish you, if you do anything like this in future".

Sarah protests timidly "But nothing was intentional. They cared for you and your well being".

Maya states "That does not give them the right to kill you!".

Sarah looks down defeated "I have to obey our ruler and don't have any choice either, Maya. You know that".

Maya shakes her head muttering "One day they will throw you away for just doing your duty blindly".

'Even after those fatal damages they had done to her, she still takes their side! I wonder whether she is the same girl who told me that she doesn't want to be a servant before! Is she really afraid of them to this end that she has already forgotten her wishes?'.

Maya darts her eyes seriously as if she just realized something very important 'I should start acting immediately with no delay! I have already wasted a week thinking about this Imperial Court's proceedings! I wonder how long it will take to even know the truth behind the Cold Prison.  I have to act early before it gets too late! Why would I be taken to future if I had enough time then? So I need to concentrate more in Real problems! My problems!'.

She tilts her head in confusion 'Is it really My problem?! *Sigh* I am the only one capable of solving it. So it is My problem now-".

* Clears throat remembering something*

'Turned out I am not the only one anymore. Since, The Other Half has arrived. But I am more than enough to handle this alone!'.

Maya starts feeling discomfort in her leg while walking back to her chamber and sighs triumphantly distracting herself from that "I successfully saved myself today!".

Sarah grins widely holding Maya's hand warmly "I am glad you did".

Maya smiles returning her grin and asks "Would you do something for me?".

Sarah nods earnestly "As long as you fight for yourself like this, I can die for you".

Maya's smile fell and frowns astonished "You can't die for someone. Are you stupid?".

Sarah smiles shaking her head "I have already pledged to save Our Royal Queen as a servant but I can die happily for a friend, can't I?".

Maya chuckles at her innocent affection on her and pats Sarah's hand which was already on hers "I beg to clarify. If you really in a situation to save me, you just have to run for your life".

Sarah states with giggle which was strange but now she doesn't want to be in distant anymore with Maya "You know I can't".

Maya stops suddenly and her face turns serious "Do you doubt my fighting skills?".

Sarah gets blank as Maya's question caught her off guard "What? No! Not at all!".

Maya shakes her head seriously with no belief in Sarah's words and asks "Then promise me something".

Sarah asks emptily "What?".

Maya states "If a situation comes, in which we are in danger, you will chose to escape yourself instead of protecting me".

Sarah whines "I wouldn't dare! I can't betray Our Queen!".

Maya smirks "So you will chose to stay beside me and make me weak!".

Sarah protests "How could my presence make you weak?!".

Maya looks at her with a mocking expression "Imagine if we are attacked by some of this country's enemies. If you decide to stay by my side, then I have to take the responsiblity of protecting you too! If there is less danger, I can do that with all heart but think if they are too powerful. Do you want me to escape or protect you?".

Sarah states without any hint of doubt "Of course you have to escape! Your life is more important than mine!".

Maya looks at her darkly "I can never change your thinking, Sarah. How can your life be any less than mine?! Forget that! Now. How can I even escape when you will be with me in that situation?".

Sarah darts her eyes confused and pouts thinking out of her mind "I was trained to be with Our Queen in all situations. At any cost".

Maya smirks "But you weren't when I left to the western part of the Pavilion near the waterfalls to hide!".

Sarah blinks embarrased "That...You were asking everything hurry that day. You also promised that you wouldn't get hurt. I-I".

Maya pats Sarah's shoulder "Didn't I return safely?".

Her heart felt a guilty feeling as she didn't keep her promise that she made to Sarah. 

'She doesn't know how badly I was injured! And I still want her to be in the dark. I started to even steal the medicnes from the Infirmary! This week changed me a lot!'.

Sarah nods nervously.

Maya declares "So what will you do in future if we are in some dangerous situation?".

She looks at Sarah eagerly as if she is expecting the answer of her wish.

Sarah smiles "Instead of being your weakness, I will try to become your strength".

Maya opens her eyes wide at her sentence "I didn't expect you to changer your mind so easily! I thought you might not do so".

Sarah states "I believe ..you can be stronger without me beside you".

Maya embraces Sarah's shoulder by her hand and annouces proudly "Only if it's a fight! As long as it's about Imperial Court you wouldn't dare to run away! I can't do anything without you!".

Sarah blushes and smiles "I wouldn't dare, Your Majesty!".

Maya remembers what they were talking and continues "Ah! I almost forgot. Help me send a saree to that child's mother".

Sarah gasps astonished "Do you remember everything?!".

Maya smirks proudly 'I do! Ever since I started to conquer!' and mutters inaudibly "Now I am in the conquest of these naive people's hearts!".
