Maya tilts her head in a daze 'What was I even doing? Instead of taking some actual efforts to close the Prison… why was I fighting a war? And now this incident with Prince Xavier.... What if some other people saw and misunderstood worse than Celina?'
She gulps at this thought and decides mentally 'No matter what... No one should raise their voice on my dignity here! I would rather chose to die than living without my dignity'.
Maya's eyes turns even more cold and stern while staring back at Celina.
Celina starts to tremble noticing Maya's aura and kneels down immediately "This servant begs your mercy! I-I wasn't intended to slander you, Your Highness. When I saw ..you both so clos-..my mind thought the worse! I don't want Ma'am to get harm by any means. I am really glad that everything in my mind was just a misunderstanding!"
Maya looks down still no intention to help Celina stand. If not for her previous mistake, Maya would have laughed at her fear but now she can't. She can bear someone mocking her for her race or status but she can't take someone pointing at her self esteem and dignity.
Seeing Celina she could only get angry at her shallow mind and ignorance.
"Take care of your country's Prince there. He just has been healed".
Maya walks away after ordering Celina. She didn't even look back while Celina was feeling terribly guilty and sad for her mistake.
She didn't think Maya would just show her place as a maid in this rude way. She never knew Maya could be this rude.
'It's all my fault! I couldn't help remember the penalty for affair as soon as I saw them together! No way I can bear Ma'am getting burnt alive! She doesn't like Our Crown Prince but that doesn't mean she can't love him forever! Everyone who hated him always fell head over heels for him after some time. Especially stubborn women'.
Celina stands back and sighs worriedly "Sarah will kill me if she knows this…".
She walks towards the cliff.
----
Maya is walking towards the Pavilion. She thought she might not care much about this incident but something made her bother more than she expected. She doesn't want anyone misunderstand her and Xavier in a wrong way. He is a kind hearted and good man. And it's a rare virtue for a Prince of a powerful realm.
She doesn't want to affect that in any way. She steps inside the Entrance of the Pavilion but was instantly thrown out.
AAHH!
Maya grunts at this sudden impact and notices the Entrance covered with snow. She frowns and looks around for the soldiers in charge but no one was there.
She mumbles "It's impossible! They never leave this Entrance without guards and what is the snow doing here out of no where?".
She stands up tilting her head suspiciously. For some reason she felt the atmosphere turning too cold for her. And she doesn't like the feeling as it's a sign that something is happening against her power! She walks ahead carefully and forwards her hand in front of her. As expected she feels a layer of invisible coldness and grits her teeth.
She clenches her fist as she felt the coldness started spreading over her hand from the palm gradually. It was oddly familiar as she felt exactly same when she broke the lock for the first time and also when she stepped on the shadow in her dream once.
"Why am I sensing this now? What is happening-".
Her thoughts had lead to only solution in every possible way.
She gasps opening her eyes wide "The Cold Prison!"
She slams her fists hard against the layer of coldness and breaks it easier than she expected. She steps inside the Pavilion and gets stunned to see everything remained same. She felt like her eyes were betraying her before but that doesn't mean she will sit relaxed.
She grabs her skirt and starts running towards the Cold Prison confusing every soldier who noticed her presence before.
She feels a strange fear creeping in her heart and it was the same coldness.
"Argh! I hate this coldness!"
She is grateful for her power that she is not at all felt exhausted now. Instead she feels more energized since she broke the layer of coldness before.
As soon as she reaches the huge vines, she sighs "I still don't like being here".
She walks past through them gingerly and hears someone muffling.
"I will..you say… just…back…".
Maya creases her eyebrows in confusion as she couldn't hear the voice even with her ability and leaps out of the vines impatiently breaking them in the process.
And when she fell out from the grips of vines, the scene in front of her made her froze in shock.
'What is he doing here? Wait, is he kneeling?-'
She looks at the shadow in front of him and instantly something wakes in her. She grunts in a warning tone "Stay away!"
Kalki as if woke up from his trace looks at Maya and frowns "Why are you here?"
Maya silently steps towards him not at all averting her eyes from the shadow. She was very cautious in her moves as she doesn't want the shadow to do anything to Kalki.
HA!
A chuckle escaped from the shadow and it speaks wondering curiously "Oh! Look who we have here? Isn't that your wife?"
Anyone might have fallen for that sweet voice but Maya's mind felt otherwise. It felt so ironic as the voice only sounded menacing in Maya's ears. She doesn't know why in the world would Kalki kneel next to that dangerous thing!
Kalki speaks looking down "Not really-".
If not for the serious situation, Maya would have smacked Kalki's head for his weakness in front of the shadow.
'For Heaven's sake! She never heard this whimpering voice of his!'
The shadow spoke again "Oh! Stop playing, child. She looks really dangerous".
Maya senses the mockery in her tone and wonders whether Kalki really lost his hearing ability to not sense that. She speaks stepping in between Kalki and the shadow "Very less people see that in me but they are not alive now".
Maya could only dart her eyes around the thick dark shadow in front of her. No way she could find a face to glare at it in the eye.
The shadow sighs "Easy, Young Lady. I won't hurt him. He is my son after all".
Maya's eyes turns instantly wide 'Mother?!' and senses her body getting warmer rapidly which means..
Threat!
What shocked was the she heard a metal clanking sound behind her.
