Chapter 11 - Heart Attack

After a while .

Three men entered the tavern . They looked quite strong as two of them were emitting the aura of spiritual energy that indicated they were in the 6th stage of the body refinement realm while the third one who had a scar across his left eye emitted the aura of an 8th body refinement realm.

They all had a small snake tattoo on their wrists.

"Look, that's the infamous snake gang leader"

" Why my luck is so bad, I should leave as quickly as possible before they start making troubles here "

" yeah i think we should leave too"

Some people who recognized the snake gang members started shivering and leaving the tavern .

Madam Emily noticed this but didn't do anything after all, technically they didn't make any troubles yet.

" hello esteemed guests what can i bring for you " Alice went to their side to take their orders , after all they didn't want Shadow to take their orders and mistakenly offends them .

The gang members exchanged glances at each other while checking Alice up and down before one of them said" how about you come sit here beside us and have some fun?"

"I'm sorry sir , but we don't offer such services here" Alice said with a bittersweet smile on her face . She was sweating profusely ,because she knew they're not going to let her go so easily.

The snake gang usually sends it's members to the stores nearby to collect'protection money' from the owners of the stores . They were obviously rubbing people in broad daylight but no one could utter a word if they wanted to stay alive .

"Huh? My brother just asked you to stay here and have fun but you refuse his kind offer ? What do you think of us ?" The gang leader said to Alice with a weird expression on his face that indicated they were wronged .

Alice was a little scared but still tried her best to compromise with them

" Sir please don't do this , how about we give you a free meal on the house ?"

" Are you looking down on us? You think we're beggars ?" The leader shouted at Alice which scared her and made her fall on her plump buttocks.

The leader looked at her with a lewd gaze as he licked his lips " You're going to satisfy my brother and me for offending us" he said as he stepped closer to her .

" please guests , accept this little present from the house for our waitress's mistake "madam Emily said as she rushed with a panicked voice . she brought them a pouch of money.

The leader looked at his subordinates before one of them took the money.

" The money was to spare her life for offending us , but she still has to correct her mistake so it's either her or you come with us to make up for her bad manners" he said while looking at madam Emily .

Everyone in the tavern was scared to utter a word and end up catching the attention of the gang so they stayed silent.

Madam Emily took a step backwards as she saw the subordinates were walking towards her with malicious intentions .

She wanted to call for help but she knew no one would be able to rescue her .

She was blocked by the wall when one of the subordinates stretched his hand to hold her .

She closed her eyes while crying but after a moment she heard a shriek sound .

"Aaaargh!!!"

Madam Emily opened her eyes and was surprised by the scene in front of her.

Shadow was holding the man's hand while breaking it in half , the hand was twisted upside down in a very cruel way.

The man was crying his heart out as Shadow kept twisting his arm for another 360 angle

"Who the fuck are you? Let him go or I'll break all your bones right now " the gang leader shouted with anger.

Shadow tilted his head slightly to look at the scarred man and said with a nonchalant expression on his face" why don't you come and make me?"

Ding!

'Congratulations to host for showing his dominance ,+10'

the scarred man tried to see Shadow's cultivation level , but to his surprise he couldn't sense any spiritual power from Shadow .

Five minutes ago,

After the three men entered the tavern , Shadow quickly sensed their cultivation aura and coupled with their attitude he knew they were up to no good , he smiled and said

' System find me a technique to hide my cultivation level'

'The concealment technique, level one (upgradable)it can hide your level from anyone under the king's realm , the price +5 DP'

' buy it' he said

Shadow was happy when he saw the three gangsters enter the tavern because he saw them as free dominance points, that's why he concealed his cultivation to not alarm them of his cultivation making them do what they want. The more humiliation they get , The more dominance points he get.

Back to the present , The scarred man hesitated for a second whether to attack Shadow or not the moment he saw him break his subordinate's arm , but after Shadow's provocation he leaped at Shadow while stretching his fist towards his face .

" Today, I'm gonna skin you alive " he shouted at Shadow.

Shadow was still holding his subordinate's hand not paying attention to the scarred man when he swiftly twisted the hand with a little pull towards him.

Rip!!

"Aaaaaaargh"

Shadow ripped the man's hand then he turned to face the scarred man , Shadow dodged the scarred man punch with ease as he then proceeded to send his own towards the scarred man's neck .

Crack!!

The scarred man felt his eyes shutting down and before he could even comprehend what just happened, he was dead .

Awkward silence filled the whole tavern after the man with the ripped hand fainted from blood loss.

The third man was standing there staring blankly at Shadow .

Shadow proceeded and kept walking to his direction.

The man wanted to flee but he was scared shitless that his legs let him down on his knees "p..please show mercy" he said in a pleading tone as he regretted coming to the devil's home .

"You want me to show you mercy?" Shadow asked in a calm voice yet his sneer was obvious.

Once the man saw the look in Shadow's eyes, He lost all hopes , he knew this was his last day.

Plop!!

The man fell dead to the ground before Shadow could even touch him. His heart stopped due to his frightening.

"What a useless trash " said Shadow with an expressionless face .

It's true that this was the first time Shadow killed a human being , but due o his high mentality compared to others , he didn't feel anything. It was so normal for him as they were insects in his eyes.

' Host won't get more Xp from consuming their corpses as he already did when he killed them , but he still can consume the dead bodies to inquire the deceased's bloodline and in this case the system advise the host to not even bother with these trash'

Shadow had a bittersweet smile after hearing the system ' i guess I'll just leave their bodies' he said .

Shadow came back to his senses to see everyone gawking at him with opened jaws.
