Chapter 15 - Slaves

In the arena, Maya was walking out of the ring . On her way out she got closer to Frank's body " Trash will always be trash " she said with a cold gaze before she left.

After the match ended the arena stage suddenly vanished with everyone in it , Maya found herself in a capsule shaped bed , in her hand was a blue sword " even trash can be useful sometimes " she said with a smile on her face.

At night , a black silhouette was standing on a tall tree in the middle of the forest. He had a calm gaze as he kept looking downward.

Beneath him , There were 4 carriages.

They were camping and taking a break from their travel.

The carriages had many people inside them as Shadow noticed the chains in the people's hands .

"Slaves" he said in a low voice

Shadow's gaze though didn't linger on the people for too long as his eyes were only focused on one person .

3 hours ago, Shadow was dashing through the trees when he felt a strong aura a head of him. He tried to sense the ominous aura until he spotted the 4 carriages moving ahead of him.

He kept following them for 3 hours until they stopped and set their camp.

He could feel the ominous aura coming from one of the slaves in the carriage but didn't know why he was attracted to it .

Shadow wouldn't bother himself with the slaves as he didn't want to make unnecessary enemies but the aura coming from that carriage piqued his curiosity.

There were 6 people accompanying the carriages. They were obviously the slave traders

'4 spirit cultivators stage one and 2 peak body refinement, This is gonna be fun' Shadow said with a smirk .

The guards were taking shifts so only 2 of them were guarding every 3 hours .

He waited until it was the turn of one of the peak body refinement guard with another 1st stage spirit realm guard .

'Now'

Shadow said as he saw the spirit realm guard go away from the camp to pee .

" you are my love , you are my life . I can't live without you baaaaby . My heart is broken witho…arrrgh"

In the middle of his song, the guard felt a stabbing knife piercing his heart .

" Don't worry you won't be heart broken again i can assure you " Shadow said with a chuckle

"Hmm interesting, i could use that" he said when he saw a 1st rank sword on the back of the dead guard

"That fucker is taking too long , i told him to stop eating too much during work" the other guard complained to himself.

"Who's there " the guard turned his head to the sudden sound of the rocks Shadow threw .

Once he turned his face Shadow stroke his neck breaking it .

Without making a sound, Shadow lay down the body of the guard on the ground .

With the rank 1 sword ,he felt it was so much easier dealing with these slave traders as he swiftly slaughtered the rest of the them while they were sleeping.

The money madam Emily gave him was only 1800 bronze coins , It couldn't even reach more than 2 silver coins . So he was quite happy .

" Even though 50 silver coins is not a small amount . These two weapons and the spacial ring are the real deal "he said with a smile.

" The ranked weapons should fetch me a good price if i sell them while the ring I could use it myself because I don't want people watching me store things in thin air when i use the system's spacial store "

" Now , let's see who's it that emitting this ominous aura" he said while walking leisurely towards the carriages.

Once he got closer he could see the miserable state the slaves were in , he ignored them and continued walking to the last carriage .

When Shadow was 3 meters away from the carriage his eyes widened in surprise as he saw everyone in the carriage dead

"If everyone is dead , then what's emitting that aura?" he said as he got closer.

Shadow broke the lock of the carriage lock and stepped inside .

" there has to be something in here " just when he finished saying that, he noticed a silver haired girl with 2 little horns on her head , her eye lashes were long and her hair reached her toes . She was lying on the pile of corpses that accumulated from the dead slaves around her.

Even though there was many different species living among the humans , Shadow noticed that this girl's appearance was a little peculiar.

He's never seen a girl with 2 black horns and silver hair. She was dying yet her miserable appearance didn't hide her otherworldly beauty.

' What a beautiful being' he said as he was looked at her and being mesmerized.

'What the hell is that' he frowned when he noticed that she was the source of that energy.

'System, what is that red energy?' He decided to ask the system as he never read of such a thing before.

' It's a blood curse,Her core was destroyed due to the curse. This girl has a rare physique called the blood physique . The container of this physique will be doomed to death due to the container being an able to cultivate hence be unable to resist the curse energy that exudes from the special physique ' the system explained with a soft feminine voice.

Shadow pitied the girl and looked sad seeing her like this .

'But you can cure her right?' Shadow asked with a questioning gaze .

'Of course i can' the system said with an arrogant tone .

'What the fuck dude , 30 DP points for just curing this girl? I guess medical treatment is expensive no matter where you are ' he sighed with a defeated tone

'The host doesn't need to feel dejected, because once the girl is treated , she's gonna be a great aid to the host, as her blood physique is a very powerful constitution that shouldn't exist in this world' the system said

Shadow frowned when he heard the last sentence but he ignored it for now as there was more important thing to do right now

'Do it'

he said with a resolute voice .

Shadow felt that this girl shared the same destiny as him from the day she was born and till now, And after what the system said , he had all reasons to save her .

'The blood curse disabling is in progress' suddenly a red light shot from the system and entered the girls chest .

'Blood curse is disabled , the girl is safe now'

Shadow smiled upon hearing the system's voice and went to carry the girl on his back
