Hearing the noises, Devin stomped upstairs and hastily approached the room when he began hearing the desperate outcries. He knew the cries doesn't belong to her and he was confident that she would protect herself but his heart can only calm down once he sees her in person. Understanding that the door was still locked when he tried to open it, he slammed his footsteps on to the door loudly.
"Vincy, the door is very hard to open it." Following Devin, Drew hurriedly walked upstairs to catch him. "Here, try this. I brought hex keys in case we need it."
"Don't think that it has ended here. I will get back to you later." Snatching the hex key, Devin fixed the long end of the hex wrench into the hole and tried with a couple of hex keys turning it back and forth until it was unlocked with the smallest one.
When Devin opened the door and spotted her, fear crushed his heart when he took in her messy appearance and her neck being scr.a.p.ed slightly. Without his knowledge, a teardrop trickled down which he hadn't experienced in his entire life.
...
The continuous banging of the door was an alarm bell to Leena. Knowing that he might break it in at any second, she immediately threw the knife onto the sc.u.m's side which she has pointed down to his member. That's when Bernard tried to reach for her throat and the door was also burst opened at the same making Leena look like an actual victim.
When Leena felt Bernard's hand was reaching over her neck, it was too late for her to shun it and she was prepared for the result, but the pain she was anticipating did not arrive. Instead, it was blocked by a pair of hands.
When Leena looked up, she was startled to see his fuming eyes. Burning rage wheezed through his body like a deadly poison. He was like a volcano surging out to destroy the world, his fury swept like ferocious waves. It was her first time to see his horrified ornery behavior. His eyes held no mirth. For a moment, Leena was terrified by his vicious personality.
His bloodshot eyes wandered over her neck and legs which were slightly swollen red.
"How dare you touch her! I should slit your neck straight away." His words were enough to send chills down Bernard's spine.
"I didn't do anything_" Bernard's voice died down with the way Devin was twisting his wrist.
"Drew! Take her out of the room right now!" His raising voice was like a storm startling Leena to the core. Since they knew each other, she has seen him as only a kind, but right at the moment hearing his voice itself was making her body shook in fear but that was not the scary thing, Leena began to like his furious personality which he was showing because of her.
Listening to his voice and scared of the Devil, Drew immediately appeared in front of Leena to drag her away. He tried pulling Leena out of the room but the stubborn girl overpowered him and threw him to the side.
"'It's a rare chance to see someone fighting for me," Leena whispered not to make it obvious. She wanted to see this delirious monster with her own eyes. But the way he was beating Bernard, Leena revoked her words.
"I_didnot do an_ything to_" Bernard's rest of the words died down when a hard punch landed on his face knocking him to the ground. Blood splashed on to the floor instantly. Before he could wake up, another strike landed on his jaw. It was strange that his teeth were still intact with the jabs the sc.u.mbag was receiving. His leg and wrist were already injured by Leena, and with Devin's ruthless punches, he wished death was a little painful.
"You dared to hit her legs!" Devin pulled him by his leg which he has damaged Leena's and slammed Bernard's head against the wall.
"AWWW!!!" His groans echoed in the room.
Drew and Leena were loss of words. Out of scared, Drew rushed to stop him but the ruthless man was in no state to hear anything.
"Get the hell out of here if you don't want to be next!" Devin shoved him away sending Drew's body straight away into the wall.
"Hey! I am your friend." His cries did not even reach the frantic monster.
"OMG! What's wrong with him today? He is totally out of his mind." Leena rushed toward Drew to hold him before he could fall on to the ground. As much as Leena liked his fierce attitude, she was getting scared now. What if he kills him and goes behind the bars. She didn't even want to imagine it.
"If we don't stop him right away, he would not even spare his life. We have to do something." Leena admitted when she was continuously hearing the man's groans with the way Devin was crushing his body. She wished to close her ears.
Pondering for a while, she suddenly remembered the things they brought when they went shopping.
"Did you also carry the nitrous oxide spray when you got down from the car?" Leena asked.
"But it doesn't make Vincy stop." Drew gritted his teeth when Devin was yanking him out of the room. Is he a human or a monster?
"We have to make him stop at any cost. You try to separate him and take him out of that sc.u.m's sight. I will spray it onto his face so that he will not beat an unconscious man, all right?" She explained to him hurriedly. They have to execute the plan fastly otherwise she was scared there would be no bones intact in Bernard's body.
"That's too risky. What if you inhale."
"You are sounding as if it is deadly poisonous. Worse, I will laugh for some time."
"Alright." Drew initially wanted to take up the task of spraying, but with Devin's rage, if he somehow inhales and laughs in front of him, he would be a mincemeat today. Let this crazy idiot do by herself. Instead of anger, Vincy would get worried about her.
"Let' go." Pulling out the spray from his jacket, Leena and Drew marched out of the room in search of the devil. The moment they spotted him at the downstairs, both rushed as fast as they could.
"Enough Vincy. He will die at this rate." Drew grabbed his shoulders to push him away.
"Back off! I will kill that bastard today." Devin marched forward to charge on him again but with all his might, Drew pulled him and dragged him out of the room.
"Leave me, you bastards," Bernard yelled with crooked teeth. He doesn't even know if he can repair his body even after going to the hospital.
"Karma is a bitch. It has tripled the pain you gave it to Leah." Covering her nose, Leena sprayed the nitrous oxide onto his face and ran out of his sight not intended to hear his whimpers. Even though she covered her mouth, the whiff has slightly entered into her nose.
Instantly it started to take effect on Leena. Shaking her head, a giggle escaped from her lips.
...
When Devin sensed Leena was not in his sight again, hastily he walked into the house but his footsteps halted when he saw her coming out of the house sound and safe. But the swollen leg and her bruised neck were constantly troubling him.
But when she was giggling and coming back, Devin was confused.
