Twilight melted away, elegant orange rays swept over the horizon were now gushing onto the sleeping girl and her face shimmered like a glowing flame with the lifted curtains.
Gazing at the serene girl, he was getting envious of the sun rays which were kissing her skin and whispering sweet mornings into her ears.
When her body slightly swirled, his gaze landed back onto the laptop in fear of getting caught. Since Devin couldn't sleep after he was awakened by Leena, he began scanning the online threads to check if the videos got leaked just to be safe, despite he knew that wouldn't happen.
Waking up from her slumber, Leena quietly gazed at the man diligently working on the laptop. When she noticed his dark circles, she felt guilty for waking him up early in the morning. But then again, she was scared that early morning dreams would come true and Andrew would attack him.
"Mr. Adonis. I am sorry for occupying your bed." Lazy to even get up from her bed, she began speaking from the bed.
"Let's say I have forgiven you now. Can I change my mind later?" Devin asked putting aside his laptop to converse with his darling.
"Are you demanding now? You should be happy that I appeared as an angel to rescue you from an evildoer."
She started again! Since yesterday night she started bragging about rescuing him from someone and speaking all jim-dandy words which he couldn't fathom. But then, she would nag him until unless he applauds her. So Devin went along with her.
"Thanks for safeguarding me, sweetest girl." Gazing at her sleeping position he started. "Speaking of which, your sleeping position is the worst I have ever seen. There is no place you didn't touch the bed from the time you slept. Donkey Kong position, roundhouse kick....the list goes on."
Walking towards the bed, he smacked her back. "Get up, lazy bum!"
"D_id you just smack my back?" She asked in ambush.
"Shall I do it again? Maybe your gaga brain can confirm it now." With a mischievous smile, Devin winked. When Leena was in a haze, to try his luck, he went for her back again but that was quickly stopped by her hands.
"Shameless pervert." She shrieked.
"Even if I am the one, but still I rank second in front of a top-notch deviant pervert."
"I_I am not." Leena was surprised by his sudden act but didn't feel discomfort which she always gets even when a man stands in front of her, much less touching. This was no time to get shy about him, Leena! She cursed and hastily got up from her bed and rushed towards the bathroom.
Sensing her direction of running, Devin hurriedly reached her and closed the door shut which she opened.
"Open it, stupid idiot! My digestive system is sending urgent warning signals." Leena yelled. If he doesn't open it, I will do it on his face today.
"Just because it is urgent it's not necessarily important right?" Devin winked, locking the door.
"Not important?" Leena yelled at the top of her lungs when her bladder was taking a toll on her. "Let me pee on your head then."
"Potty mouth! Your mind always moves towards X rated stuff." Devin knocked her head for talking all l.e.w.d words.
"I am not a potty mouth, crude creature."
"Alright, you are not." He sighed. "The lavatory is under maintenance. Until it gets repaired, use Leah's bathroom."
A suspicion has already been raised in her head and she is receiving a confirmation. How could it suddenly go bad when it was fine yesterday? At least I would have got a whiff if there was an issue. He is hiding something. Until I find the truth, I have to pretend with my superb acting skills.
"Ok." Nodding her head, Leena walked out of the room, she already had an upper hand when they fought and doesn't want to spoil it.
"Did she leave without throwing any tantrums?" Devin muttered in disbelief.
....
After a while, Devin sent Andrew to Leah's room again and strolled into Jasper's room since he did not want to use his room as a source of communication. Right after he went into the room, Austin appeared with a package.
"Not bad. You got hands on it quite quickly." Jasper gushed.
"I had to work my a.s.s off. It's very hard to get hands-on when using jammers are criminal sanctions in America." Austin said. Despite they are rich, they abide by the law until unless someone provokes their bottom line.
"Don't tell me you used his name again?"
When Austin nodded his head, Jasper gasped in surprise.
"He will roast you alive if it reaches his ears."
"Well, I will worry about that later." Passing the package to Devin Austin inquired. "I still couldn't comprehend what sort of stunts you are using to block the mobile signals. What kind of tricks you have up in your sleeves, Mr. Wang?"
"Wait and watch." He ventured and walked out of the room and straight away marched into Daisy's bedroom. Curiosity killed the cat! Austin and Jasper followed him.
"Oopsy daisy! Don't you think daisies are the friendliest flowers?" Devin asked flashing a smile.
"Don't you think someone would get jealous if she sees you praising others?" Despite her words, her actions contradicted when she put on a timid smile.
"Well, technically my darling is not here. But I must say, it's kind of boring to stay in the house. Isn't it Jasper?" Devin signaled to take a hint and flow with him.
"Very boring," Jasper exaggerated with a yawn. Despite he doesn't have any idea of Devin's plan, he continued.
"Is it? So you aren't enjoying it here?" She asked in a dejected voice.
"Nope! That being the case, let's have some refreshing events with everyone involved genuinely." Devin urged slowly bringing her into his bait.
"I am quite busy and_"
"You have been working for the wedding for a month and it's time to chill out at least for a day." Devin gradually stirred Daisy into his trap.
"Alright, boys! Let's play then. I will ask everyone to gather_"
Before she could finish, Devin interrupted.
"First thing first! Snatch away the mobiles to get them out of the mobile world."
"You are right. they are kind of hindrance." She was excited by Devin's idea of getting refreshed with everyone and to get everyone immersed absolutely into the game and not running behind calls, she has to take away the mobiles. After all, everybody is here to enjoy the wedding.
"I will call salsa to_"
"Jasper is free. He will take care of it." Devin motioned Jasper to commence their plan.
"That was a very smooth idea. I bet no one would get suspicious if we highjack the signals." Austin and Jasper stood there stupefied with Devin's awestruck plan.
...
Devin, Austin, and Jasper followed the trend standing in the garden to play the events not to raise skepticism on anyone. To his surprise, Devin couldn't find anyone acting suspiciously. After a few plays, when everybody was engrossed in the games, Devin quietly left the place and soon Jasper followed him.
Before Austin departed, he walked toward Leah to speak with her since he hadn't had a proper talk with her from yesterday night. But his footsteps halted when he saw Wendy approaching Leah, s.u.c.k.i.n.g on to a lollipop as usual.
"Sick pervert. Why does she always suck on to a lollipop even after she has grown up?" Austin wondered in incredulity.
Despite they were not specific whether Wendy has a hand in the case, he was still sickened by her. Without moving, he stood in the same position to listen to her talks.
"Hey! Annoying Leah! Didn't I ask you to get my AC fixed? I have notified it yesterday, yet you haven't come up with any action? I am sweating in the nights." Wendy yelled l.i.c.k.i.n.g her lollipop from time to time. To avoid the spraying juices to spit on her face, Leah stepped back.
"Stop eating those sticky pops and considering your AC issue, I have called for a technician yest_"
Before Leah could complete her words, Austin interrupted walking towards them.
"I will bring someone to check." He said, gesturing Leah not to speak anything. So, Wendy's AC is not working for real! I have to check her room to confirm if she is lying or diverting them in a wrong direction.
"Austi boy! You are the real man. I wonder why you are getting wedded to an annoying girl leaving a beautiful girl like me." Pulling out a lollipop from her jean pocket, she removed the cover and pounced onto the second one. Austin and Leah we're turned off watching her l.i.c.k.i.n.g and slurping like a dippy crackpot.
Austin walked out of the place not intended to speak with a pea-sized comic girl when he knew Leah would take care of the matter. He has other matters to settle now that he got juicy information.
All three thought they have successfully gone into the house masking everyone. But they couldn't evade two pairs of eyes watching their moves diligently despite playing their games.
