Chapter 13 - I want Mommy (First Part)

After Sebastian left, Ruyi gently put down the kid in her office's sofa and getting her blazer to cover him up. She was confused as to how this kid was able to enter her office bypassing everyone and to why this kid called a v.i.r.g.i.n, romance-less, domineering woman like herself a "mother".

While the child was sleeping, she went back to her desk to continue her work.

Some hours passed and the kid finally woke up. He saw her looking at her laptop. Feeling the child's stare, she became quite embarrassed and awkward, so she decided to get some juice and lunch. Both Ruyi and the child bonded after lunch. It was until two hours after when Sebastian finally knocked and entered her office with an elderly couple and another kid with them.

"Jue'er!!! This is where you are!!! We've been looking for you since this morning!!!!" the old woman immediately hugged the boy. After checking he was safe, she immediately bowed towards Ruyi.

"I'm so sorry for the inconvenience my grandson did..." The old woman bowed while her husband came and bowed with her.

Ruyi felt bad for making the old couple bow and apologize to her. "No need for this sir and ma'am" Ruyi politely eased the couple. Seeing Sebastian gawking like a fish, she asked him to bring refreshments while they talk.

"Umm, so Madame...?" Ruyi asked the old woman.

"Oh, that's rude of me, I am Kou Miya, that's my husband Kwon Huansong, with him is my granddaughter, Yue and this is her younger twin brother, Jue" the old smiled while introducing themselves.

"Oh, Mr. and Mrs. Kwon, please have a seat" Ruyi said while pointing to the sofa near the old woman. Both elderly and the young girl took the seat at the lounge sofa Ruyi pointed at, while Jue sat with her, confusing the elders. "May I ask what was your business in the building?" Ruyi inquired as politely as she could.

"Ah! The kids' uncle is one of your talents, he asked for us to come here so he can have his break with us, though it was postponed due to Jue'er missing earlier." Mr. Kwon replied.

"Would that be K-won?" Ruyi asked and the couple nodded.

"Alright, I'll extend K-won's break 2 days after Chuseok ends" Ruyi said as she saw Sebastian enter with refreshments.

"Ahh, that would be great. I was worried he might get too fatigued and asked him to ask for break." the kind old woman replied. They spent some time talking more before a ring was heard. Mr. Kwon picked up his phone.

"Hello? Oh, Jaebum-a... Hmm, we found Jue'er...we're at the president's office right now... okay we'll see you" the old man ended the call. Short time passed and a panting K-won was seen. He immediately apologized to his boss (which she just nodded to) and thanked her for the extension she gave to him.

They said their farewells and regards and were about to leave when the little boy escaped from his grandma's hands and run to cling to Ruyi's leg.

Everyone was stunned at the child, Ruyi was flabbergasted, Sebastian with wide eyes, a shocked Kwon couple, a pale K-won while the little girl (with envy) ran to the other leg of Ruyi and cling to her.

K-won immediately tried to call his godchildren but to no avail, they clung more to Ruyi refusing to budge. The people are of course confused why that happened when the boy suddenly said. "I want Mommy" and buried his face to her thigh not letting go of her leg.
