The carriage continued to travel while there was a complete silence between its passengers.

The Duke while travelling continued to prove questions from Louise. He even ask about her background and why is she travelling but the latter just answered him with one phrase "Next question."

For some reason, the Duke was now slightly trusting the girl across from him. Maybe because she was his benefactor or their benefactor rather. He opened his mouth to ask again.

"Why do you choose me to help you with your residency? There are other nobles in this kingdom."

"No reason." she shrugged "I was at the Mystical Forest when I encountered you. There were other nobles yes, but you were the only one present. I'm just so lucky that you are a Duke that's all."

"So you were serious when you try to leave me during that time."

"Oh that...well of course. Father, you have to understand. I'm in a desperate situation. If you can't say yes of my small favor then I have to look for a different means of my survival."

The Duke rolled his eyes and answered.

"Aren't you a Mage? Mages were wealthy aren't they? They do the hunting of the demons and they were paid quite well."

Louise scoffed. "Those were Mages who have a lot of free time at their disposal. I'm not as carefree as them. One more thing, even if I have a lot of money, why would I buy my own residence or rent them If I can have it for free."

"You're a miser." he commented.

"It's called resourcefulness." she retorted.

They were about to continue when the carriage stop and the head of guard announced.

"You're Grace. We've arrived."@@
