It didn't take long, perhaps twenty or so minutes and the male finished a thirty-page essay for the assignment. Once he was done he saved the word document and sent it while a soft breath escaped his lips. His eyes shifting to the door of the bathroom opening, along with steam came the woman in what appeared to be a gothic pajama outfit. Her hair was allowed down compared to before when it was up in a ponytail. A soft moan escaped her lips as she stretched her limbs and moved to sit upon her bed. Pressing her back against the headboard as she pulled up the monitor of her wristband. Her dark brown eyes glanced his way for a moment. "Is there something you need?" Oddly enough she did not seem the least bit nervous about the situation which betrayed how she acted earlier.
Riyku shook his head, "Nothing." He stated with his eyes returning to his own monitor taking note that the task now said one out of one completed. He would dismiss the screen only to stare at the monitor desktop before him. "You aren't going to do the assignment?" Kristen questioned him while she watched him. "I already did it." Riyku replied which caused her to do a simple, "Ah, Okay." After a brief moment, she shook her head. "Wait, What!?" Kristen exclaimed as he stared at the male directly. "What the hell do you mean you did it already!?" She practically shouted. "Yes, while you were busy bathing. Why is there something wrong?" Riyku inquired in which the woman moved from her bed; tapping upon the wrist band caused the monitor to close out while she made her way to his bedside and crawled on top of him to stare deeply into his eyes as if seeking truth from his words.
"Bullshit. The assignment is not meant to be finished in twenty minutes or less. It should take at least two hours, three at most and at best a single hour. You expect me to believe you finished the entire essay in twenty minutes?" She seemed to attempt to interrogate him. Though it wasn't intimidating to him in the slightest, in fact, this was quite appealing to him. Riyku had not noticed it before, but her buttons were not fully knitted up to the collar. A good amount of cleavage and stomach area were revealed, and the fresh scent of a clean woman emitted from her quite fondly. If this were any normal student or boy; they would've probably attempted something by now. Instead, Riyku would just shrug.
"I can show you if you so desire." He added which caused her to narrow her eyes. "Show me." Kristen practically demanded. Riyku's lips curled into a smirk as he brought up his ID wristband. "Of course; though, you should get off of me first. If anything, this does seem to be quite a scene." Riyku stated in which Kristen glanced around them, making note of what she had unconsciously done in her sudden urge to find out if he really finished this assignment. She blinked for a moment before exhaling a heavy breath; though her heart beat suddenly hastened thanks to the realization. Moving off of him and standing next to him she would clear her throat. "Ahem, Now show me." She seemed less demanding as if trying to hide her embarrassment from earlier. In truth, Riyku figured she would be more scared of him because of their battle. Alas, it did not seem that way. Pulling up the monitor he would go to the word document from the short-cut page. Upon opening his document, he would show her the screen which she took a quick glance over before seeing the numbers one out of thirty.
"T-thirty pages?" Kristen stuttered before going through the first page. The wording, the meaning, everything was nicely shown. It wasn't like some random crap pulled out of nowhere. The statements made were backed up nicely and even sources were sited quite well. She pulled from the screen and looked at Riyku now. Riyku happened to do what Kristen did to close out the window which was tapping upon the wristband to close off the monitor. "All better?" Riyku inquired which caused her nod lightly. "How?" Kristen asked softly. "How what?" Riyku would respond.
"How can you do the things you do? Where does this talent drive from? Where does your strength come from? Just who are you?" Kristen inquired softly, unlike her usual demeanor, she seemed more so... girlish. Riyku would close his eyes and release a soft sigh. In truth, not even he knew the answer to that. This system came out of nowhere, his rebirth into this unknown world, and everything along with it. Without Coco he may have been lost, so he was thankful for his Operator. "I wonder that myself actually," Riyku stated subconsciously which caused her to perk up. Though when he realized what he did; he inwardly clicked his tongue. "Meaning?" Kristen questioned. "What If I told you I have Amnesia. Only fragments of memories come to me at a time; but strangely enough, I know a great deal. Much of which has nothing to do with me." Riyku stated; attempting to word things without actually giving away too much.
Kristen glanced over his body, the tone structure with a multitude of scars to tell tales for what could be years. When she saw this; there wasn't much in convincing her of such a matter. It was quite easy to tell that maybe Riyku did have such. Well in truth, he did. Just not in the normal means. "If so... That would be sad. Not knowing who you in a world filled with those who are willing take to everything from you at a moments notice." Riyku's eyes looked in her direction when she seemed to speak softly. A lot more open than earlier. As he recalled his battle with her, and how supportive her Subscribers were; he realized that she wasn't as bad as a person that Racheal made her out to be. Hell, maybe even Jack was a good person... Well, maybe not.
"I seek strength and power to protect myself." The male stated bluntly, "I seek knowledge and wisdom to defend against those above me." Riyku added, "After all If I don't then who will?" He finished which caused Kristen's expression to become a bit sorrowful. "You are all alone?" Kristen asked softly. "I've always been alone." Riyku's mouth moved on its own and vocals came out way before he could even think of how to reply. In fact, those words caused him to inwardly become dumbfounded. Did these words come from his past? Of late, many things said and done seemed to have been intuitive. Though if he had always been alone, what of that dream? What of those four people?
"I see." Kristen looked as if she wanted to say more to him, but something stopped her. "I should probably go ahead and start the assignment. Since we will be roommates till the end; I Welcome you, Riyku Von Rosario. You are the First, Last and Only person to have become my roommate." Kristen stated, shifting her mood as best to a cheery one as possible. Perhaps it was an attempt since the look of sadness or perhaps pity was still in her eyes. Riyku would nod, "Thank you, Kristen Luvlin. Also..." Riyku stated which caused Kristen to perk up at him when she reached her bed. "You need not worry about anything happening. Regardless of whatever rumors you hear, be it now or in the future." Riyku stated which caused her to nod lightly.
Riyku would eye the clock; a good amount of time remained before sleep would be truly necessary. "I'll be taking a shower. Also... Do you know where I can purchase clothing?" Riyku asked in which Kristen blinked as she had stopped herself from working on her word document. "You only have a Uniform?" She asked in which Riyku nodded. A soft sigh escaped her lips before she added, "Then tomorrow we will shop for clothing for you." To which Riyku would reply. "That's fine and all, but I still have to challenge Barron Von Douche, tomorrow." Kristen would tilt her head to the side as if trying to understand who he was talking about, before returning to her work. "Well, that is in the evening. We can take a trip to the shopping district right after school. Or perhaps you had some other kind of plan?" Kristen questioned in which Riyku shook his head. "Nope." He would step into the bathroom after giving her an answer. "Then, tomorrow after classes." Kristen added a confirmation to such Riyku would call by "Okay."
Instead of just tossing his clothing onto the tiles of the floor the male was thinking of opening his Inventory to stuff his clothing into it. Interestingly enough with that simple though the Inventory screen appeared before his eyes. Next came text which read 'Would you like to set a voice command?' A voice command? To bring up his Inventory? Was that what this was referring to? As if to read his thoughts, Coco would explain. "After some digging into the archives of the system. It is basically asking if you want to set a vocal command to bring up your Inventory. I also looked further and found that your system menu which allows you to set vocal commands for your other menus as well. In addition to this, you can choose not to set any command and leave it up to a motion flick of the wrist like you were doing before, or via a mental link like you did just now." Coco explained to him through his mind of course.
"Do you plan on shutting the door?" Kristen called from the room. "Oh, my bad," Riyku stated before moving towards the door to close it; the cybernetic screen seemed to follow him as well. For now, he shook his head and replied softly, "No." As if telling the system that he would not set a vocal command. "Might I add that you may set command at any time for the menus since it is optional. Of course, I can always bring up your menu, but only on your UI. You can only bring up your menus as it is now." Coco added; from what Riyku got from her. It seemed that she did not create this 'System.' More so her role was really just a Helper, an Operator. As she first stated she was. If that was the case; then it made complete sense as to why she did not have all the answers. For now, he simply removed his remaining clothing via double tapping on the items in the slots which transferred them into his Inventory. Only to proceed into the shower; but now that he looked at it. The shower room was quite nice. The mirror was wide and clean, the countertop for the sink wasn't your average size either. It held a lovely design to match the gentle blue coloration of the tilt and even the coloration and design of the walls matched. When his glance met with the shower he noticed it appeared more spacious than he at first realized.
Stepping into the shower he would slide the door close, and indeed it was quite spacious. He began to turn the dial for the hot water on and proceed with his shower; soon steam filled the shower room, but did not bother him even in the slightest. Instead, his body seemed to relax more so than before. With the Inventory screen still before him, he would tap upon the backward arrow which sent him back into the column section. Thankfully, the steam seemed to have had no effect on the visibility of the screen nor did the moisture affect the touch portion. "Now then." Riyku would tap upon the skills tab. Something he had wanted to do, to finish off checking out the menus. The menu changed; with the title of it as Skills.

It seemed that was it. His Passive skills were quite nice, but his active ones were lacking. Though it seemed he had tried everything except for 'Blink', on the active side of things. He recalled using Death's Embrace once before, but did he already have the skill or did he gain it right then and there? Of course, he experienced most of the Passive Skills first hand as well. Such as Cultivator, and the Silver-tongued, as well as Charmer. What became interesting about Silver Tongued was that it had extra skills. Three to be exact, and all three he had made use of. Perhaps it was more like a bundle rather than an extra skill. But it seemed such skills leveled up with usage. It did strike him as odd while the Charmer and Silver-tongued were the two highest out of the bunch of passives. This included the extras of course. His Charisma points weren't even that high, to begin with. Sure they matched a few other stats; but still. Well, he wasn't going to complain about it since it had been a huge help thus far. He was also grateful for the little warning messages beside some of the skills. This would save him trouble in figuring it out himself.
Well, that pretty much summed up his system menus. The added stat bonuses when equipping weapons were going to be nice. Especially later in the future or if things ever started to get rough. Pushing aside the screen would cause it to disappear; his way of dismissing the screen so to speak. Riyku would begin the process of bathing and when all was said and done he would remove himself from the showers. Looking towards one of the towels he used earlier he would dry himself off and wrap the black towel around his waist before opening the door. Steam would surge from the enclosed space outward into the bedroom in which Kristen looked to see the half-naked male only covered by the towel walking in. She could feel her heart beating in her chest rapidly. "Will you put some clothes on." Kristen pretty much demanded. "Also, if you plan on using the showers to... well do whatever it is you guys do. For the love of Verna, do not leave it on the floor." She only stated that last remark since forty minutes had gone by since he was in the shower.
Riyku had stolen a glance from the clock only to look back at her. "I do not have the urge to do those things. Besides, even if I was in the mood; I would rather indulge myself in a woman. Though, since you seem to care. I was merely in self-thought." He had retorted to which Kristen managed to hide her embarrassment. Though on the inside she was getting ready to burst. "Whatever, just put some clothes on. It's like you have no decency." Kristen rebutted. Riyku waved his hand dismissively. "Yeah, yeah." Though what clothing would he wear? Well, the only option was his pants. Stepping back into the bathroom he would call forth to his Inventory; doing so he put his pants into the item slot which seemed to dress him properly in the blink of an eye. Interestingly enough, the pants came with underwear; and if that wasn't intriguing enough. The underwear wasn't the same kind as before. Or at least that is what it seemed like anyways. He checked just to make sure, and of course, he wondered what process it went through, but decided against digging into it too much.
Riyku would step back out of the bathroom after removing the towel from his waist and folding it over the hanging rack. He would make his way towards his bed; of course, having noted Kristen's glance up at him after he plopped down upon it. "Yes?" Riyku called out. "Well, It is better than nothing. Tomorrow we will get you some clothes. Don't forget, right after classes." Kristen stated as she went back to her assignment, more so; she seemed to begin to finish it up. Moments later she had released a soft moan "Finally." She stated softly before sending the word document and dismissing the monitor afterward to slip under the blanket. There was a small button beside her bed which was right across from his; in truth, the button was on the wall between both beds above the small coffee table. "I'm getting some shuteye for tomorrow. You should do the same." Kristen stated. Riyku had recalled the bonuses of sleep from earlier. Thinking it to be a good idea; he would nod. Kristen would press the button to turn off the lights in the room before settling deep into the blankets of her bed. Riyku seemed to do the same as the two of them closed their eyes; facing opposite of one another even.
A still blackness swept through Riyku's vision. "Again?" He called out, but only his voice echoed throughout the darkness. "Coco!" Riyku called out yet no answer would come to him. It was then a bright white light illuminated the darkness. It was quite blinding, so much so the male had to squint his eyes and move his arm before them as protection. Though once the light died down and everything became clear he happened to have found himself looking up at a gentle smile. The face was surrounded in shade; incapable of being distinguished yet the smile was quite visible. "Good work out there today, Riyku. Even if you aren't the oldest you are quite reliable." The woman stated before moving to pat his head softly.
"What is going on?" The male questioned, yet the vocals would not part nor would his mouth move. It seemed to be another memory, yet this one was... Well, different. He judged himself to be in the body of a child, and the cute vocals of the boy backed up his claim. "I'll always be here to protect and help mama." Wait, Mama!? This woman was his mother? If he could he would've looked around, but it seemed he only had the site the boy had. Still, the face of this woman was shroud in shadow. Odd... "My, how reliable. Go get your brothers, tell them dinner is ready. They should be with the mayor." The woman spoke gently in which the child nodded and ran off. Bustling through the door; he got a glimpse of the home which appeared to be like some wooden shack or tavern so to speak. In addition to that; the townsfolk and builds all around looked primitive. "Oh, Young Riyku. Are you looking for the Elder and younger brother?" An elderly voice called out to him in which the child turned to look towards the smiling elder who happened to be tending their garden. "Yes, I am Ma'am. Mama told me to get them for dinner." Riyku replied warmly. The tone and speech were full of warmth and care; it was difficult to even relate his present self and this boy. In fact, one would never be capable of telling the two, the same if not being called by the same name.
The elderly woman chuckled softly, "Such a good boy. You will grow into a fine man one day. Your bothers and the Elder are with the Magi; speaking of which. Did you finish up your training?" The elderly woman asked softly. "Sure did. I did it early; I've been practicing during my free time. Wanna see? I can help you patch up your garden for you in no time." Riyku offered but the elderly woman shook her head. "No thank you, but I appreciate the offer. My Garden is my only past time. Without it; I'd have nothing else to do." The boy seemed to frown lightly before smiling afterward. "Okay, well if you need help moving anything around or help in general just call me. I am going to get my brothers." and with that Riyku seemed to have raced off. The elderly woman waved him off with a smile before returning to her work.
It wasn't long before the boy reached the upward sloop were the Magi resided. Although, he seemed to have been stopped in his path by some kind of dagger. The boy blinked before looking at it then picking it up. "Mina, I don't have time to play with you. I need to get my brothers Jaccs and Jin. Mama said it's time for dinner." Riyku would state firmly; sternly even, but being a child made it well... cute in a sense. "Awe, come on! You never play with me anymore!" A little girl had dropped down from a nearby tree; wearing that of a kunoichi's attire. "I don't have time anymore. I have to help out around the village." Riyku replied. "Why don't you ask my brothers to play with you?" He tossed the dagger her way while he added. "Your brothers aren't strong enough yet. While Jaccs has the power he is slow, Jin has speed, but his weak. You are the only one who can keep up and retaliate well. Besides, our match counts are still at evens. seventy to seventy." Mina caught the dagger then would pout afterward.
"Hey! That's not nice!" A strong voice came from the peak of the hill. "Well, she's right." Another more refined voice added. "Jaccs! Jin!" Riyku called out to his two brothers. The one with the strong voice looked older than the both of them while the more refined individual appeared younger than them. "Flirting with Riy again, Mina?" The older one called out. "F-flirting!?" Mina shouted. "Shut up Jaccs!" She added in a flustered fashion. "Well, It's no surprise that you have a crush on Riyku," Jin added with a shrug which caused the woman's cheeks to flourish. "He is the only one besides your Master, the Magi who can actually match you in combat. Even the adults are unable to keep up." Jin added in which Mina moved up to them before smacking them both on top of the head then stomping off.
"You made her mad," Riyku stated while scratching his cheek while his brothers rubbed their heads with pained expressions. The Magi behind them chuckled softly; appearing quite youthful yet wise at the same time. "Did you come to fetch your brothers?" He asked warmly. "Yes, it is time for dinner," Riyku stated with firm respect. "Alright, don't forget to come by tomorrow for another session. Also, be sure to train when you have free time. It is the only way to develop your Mein." The Magi stated in which the three bowed before heading back down the hill. Darkness began to cloud the male's vision as someone's voice came through.
"Riyku..."
"Riyku..."
"Get up already!"
It was then that the male's eyes flashed open; his vision shifting from a blur to realize he was back in his room. The woman standing beside him was Kristen in uniform. "Geez, You slept so silently and soundly that I forgot you were here. You are going to be late if you don't get ready. Also, don't forget about our shopping spree after classes." Kristen stated before leaving the room to head to the University. Riyku would sit up and eyeball the time; it was six forty-five. A soft yawn and stretch would come of him before he read the text.
'Your body fills fully refreshed. You have gained 100 shield points.'
'The elements have graced you during your sleep. Your Mana Pool is increased by 200 for four hours.'
"Ah." Riyku had almost forgotten about that thanks to the dream as well as Kristen waking him from it. "Good morning, User Riyku. It seems you were going through another fragment of your memory." Coco stated within his mind. "Yeah, this time around I was a child. Apparently, I have two brothers and a mother." Riyku stated almost sorrowful as if his soul was crying. "Are you going to be okay?" Coco inquired in which Riyku nodded before flicking his wrist and bringing up his inventory. He would double tap upon the uniform blazer as well as his socks which seemed to cause them to appear on his person in a blink of an eye through dim particles of light. Moving from his bed he would make the thing before proceeding to the bathroom to partake of many rinses of mouthwash since he did not have a toothbrush just yet. Afterward, he would move to the door and put his shoes on before heading out to the University.
Entering the classroom; happened to draw the attention of those who were already there. One of them being Barron. "You! You better not be mistaken that you can take down the Legends so easily just because you got lucky with Kristen." The male stated firmly in which Riyku blinked before shaking his head. "Any who stand in my way will perish," Riyku replied as he pushed past the male and ventured towards his seat. The murmurs and chattering of his classmates began to beckon on about who he was and where he came from. "You've drawn much attention to yourself." One of his classmates stated, which so happened to be a female whose seat was beside him. "It was inevitable." Riyku retorted.
"Was it? You could have remained on the down low if you wanted, yet here you are. Flaunting your power aimlessly." The woman would reply. Clicking his tongue, Riyku whose gaze was fixated out the window would look towards the woman. Long silverish hair and a lean yet not dainty figure of a female had graced his sight. Pushing up her glasses up she would flip the page of her book. "I am merely stating my standing among the populace," Riyku remarked in which the woman mused lightly. "So you are gunning for first place?" The woman inquired while flipping another page. "If I was?" Riyku inquired in which the woman fell silent before closing her book and setting it down upon the table. Her silver eyes glancing in his direction. "I wouldn't. The one who sits at the top is not someone to trifle with." The woman replied, a serious look in her eyes though before Riyku could get a word in the Teacher would enter the classroom and begin class.
Classes did not take long and before anyone knew it, Lunchtime had arisen. Unlike the high school, Riyku did not know much of the University. He had relied on his mini-map to get him to the cafeteria yesterday. Thankfully, he knew the way, in which he pushed from his desk and headed out of the room. Be it scorn or fear, he wasn't surrounded by anyone today. A pleasant feeling to be honest. Though the note from yesterday was still in his memory. "Meet me on the rooftop tomorrow during Lunch." A heavy sigh escaped the male's whispered words. It was more so annoying since the letter was pretty much blackmail. Of course, that reminded him that he needed to meet Skylar's sister too. Well, whenever that would be since his schedule for the afternoon and evening were booked. He wasn't feeling that hungry; so instead of going to the cafeteria first, he headed to the rooftop. Using the mini-map to do so.
Pushing open the door he would take note of the spacious environment; a few people were already up here. Most of which appeared to be coupled... actually of all them were. Expect a single woman staring off into the distance. Her long crimson hair reaching to her backside; a beauty from behind she seemed. Riyku made his way towards her before stopping beside her. "You are the one who called me out here, are you not? What do you need?" He was rather cold towards her; the letter was mainly the reason why. Stating that she would expose him to the entirety of the Overhaul, of who he truly was. "Riyku Von Rosario..." The female stated; her voice holding an elegance to it. "No need to be so cold towards me." She added in which the male growled lightly. "Rich, coming from the one blackmailing me." He retorted while shifting his eyes towards her, but not his head. She appeared just as beautiful from up front as was from behind. Her auburn eyes dancing along with the scenery before them.
A soft chuckle escaped her lips, "You beat my younger brother, Skylar did you not. I had to meet with you at least once. Fret not, I won't expose you. If anyone knew you were from that country, then things could become even more hellish for you. People who come from there are generally not welcomed here after all. Though, you do not have an aura of someone who hails from a lustful country." The woman explained; the male's mood seemed to adjust to a lighter side, though ever cautious he remained. "Just to meet me?" Riyku inquired in which the woman nodded lightly.
"While hacking into your files, I came across your status. You are around the same levels as those who hunt demons and protect our kingdom. I wanted to see for myself who you really are. Just as I had thought, you don't appear to be anything like your background states. So tell me, where did you really come from?" The woman asked before shifting her eyes to him. Riyku's eyes narrowed lightly before he closed them wholeheartedly. "What does it matter to you?" Riyku questioned in which the woman chuckled lightly. "I know everything about everyone here. From the headmistress of the Overhaul, to who has enslaved who. It just so happens that a random person magically shows up without any indication of notice. Then said a person takes four wins within two days time of appearing; of which two being from pros and one being from a Legend. In addition to that, you've won your rights to keep your dorm with Kristen. The Light of Women, one who never shares her room with anyone be it, man or woman." The woman stated. "Light of Women?" Riyku inquired before recalling that all of those who spurred on Kristen yesterday were women. The woman nodded lightly, "Yup. She is friendly and kind, caring even; but when it comes to men trying to get in her pants. She is as cold as ice; she even defends those who are being sexually harassed by men. She has never had a boyfriend on record either and appears to be single." The woman stated in which Riyku shook his head.
"I'm not interested in claiming her if that is what you are trying to get at." Riyku would reply in which the woman would giggle. "So, you are single?" She added in which Riyku nodded. "I am." He replied to her. "Hmm, I might just take you myself then." The woman added with a teasing glance before giggling out, "I'm joking." She added. "No need for the sour face." Indeed Riyku wasn't too pleased it seemed with such. "Rumors are spreading already, that you are a ruthless bully who would kill anyone if need be." She seemed quite sadden when she spoke these words. "Rumors are rumors," Riyku stated in which the woman shook her head. "Even so, they can damage your reputation if left unchecked. Skylar was quite worried about it. You see, Skylar has always just wanted to make friends. Although his shy personality can be one of the reasons he is unable to. Having his older sister attempt to get others to be his friend can cause a backlash, but you seemed to be the only one who treated him as if he were your friend." The woman stated as she moved her arms behind her back and clasped her hands together.
"He has the wrong idea," Riyku stated in which the woman mused lightly. "I wonder." She whispered faintly before turning towards him. "My name is Mina Novaa. Do take good care of my younger brother if you will." She stated with a soft smile. The male's eyes widen not because of her beauty, but because of the name, she gave him. For a moment a flash of the little girl from his dream appeared in place of the woman before reverting back to her. "Riyku?" The woman tilted her head to the side as she witnessed a single tear running down the male's cheek. "Did... I say something weird?" She inquired in which the male who woke up from his daydream shook his head and wiped the wetness from his cheek. "Huh, no. I was just... recalling something." Riyku would reply.
"I see... Well, take care then." Mina stated as she waved him goodbye before skipping towards the door. Riyku would turn back towards the beautiful scenery before him. "User Riyku, I detected an uneasy feeling in your chest and abnormal brain waves to boot. Did it have to do with that girl and the dream?" Coco inquired in which Riyku closed his eyes for a moment. "Not sure... Maybe I should start to investigate these memory fragments." Riyku whispered softly to himself. "Well, in any case, I should get something to eat before Lunch ends," Riyku stated before turning away from the scenery and began to make way towards the cafeteria.
