"Alright, class!" The teacher shouted as she slammed some papers on her desk to get everyone's attention. Riyku had shifted his glance from out the window to her. "I have only got assignments from a few of you. Two of which came from those outside our class, Kristen and Lira. Kristen was in this class? Well, it did seem weird that they had the same assignment, but still... Did she have some kind of special privilege? Then there was this Lira person, the seats were filled so maybe she took classes outside of school? Well, Riyku wouldn't think too much on it. "Barron, of course, is one of the few who turned his in. While the rest of you are slacking; even the new transfer student turned in his ON TIME." The teacher seemed rather pissed at her class; gossip began to erupt from the class before she silenced everyone. "Points will be deducted for tardiness. Furthermore, anyone who turns their assignment in tomorrow will be given half of their final verdict. I want all the assignments in by the end of the day. Do I make myself clear?" She affirmed her class which called back to her, "Yes Ma'am!"
Riyku would turn his glance back outside the window. The thought of those memory fragments and dreams coming to mind. What were they? Clearly, they were past representations of his former lives; he understood that much. But, why were they there? Why did the system bring them over? What purpose did they serve? While in thought about everything his name was called out. "Riyku Von Rosario!" The teacher called out yet again for who many times it had been. His attention shifted towards her. "Your assignment, If I am not mistaken you wrote a thirty-page essay when it only called for ten pages. As such, I would like to hear your standing on the Seven Cardinal Sins and the Seven Virtues." Once more the glass began to chatter about him, as the teacher mentioned of his work. Standing up the male would exhale a breath. "If I must." It seemed to be that he would rather not, but he had no choice.
"The Seven Deadly Sins or Seven Cardinal Sins; are the Sins that were deemed to be a humans downfall by Christianity. Those Seven were known as, Pride, Wrath, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Sloth, Greed. These were the seven known to be excessive or abusive of human nature. Those who indulged in their sins were treated as an outcast; or executed for their crimes. Of course, the Seven Heavenly Virtues were instated at the same time; as something humanity should strive for. That being, Humility, Patience, Chastity, Kindness, Temperance, Diligence, Charity. Of course, it is said that Pandora is the reason that these Seven were released as if to test Humanity. Although, I believe that humanity brought both Sin and Virtue themselves." Riyku stated in which the teacher nodded before folding her arms under her chest. "Why, do you have such a strong belief?" She inquired, in which Riyku would reply, "Pandora had unleashed and Eighth Sin, one of which was supposed to bring back the Original Seven. Though doing so would leave the world in a utopia; a world full of light. As we all know, Light can not exist without Darkness. The Heavenly Virtues are to be considered light while the Cardinal Sins are said to be darkness. If one is lost; then so shall be the other." Riyku replied to her.
The Teacher seemed somewhat astonished; in which she clapped her hands lightly. "Well done, I'll have to go over more in-depth on your paper on my own." She was about to continue her lecture before the bell went off for Classes to end for the day. "It's that time already eh? Well, don't forget to do the assignments and be on time to Classes tomorrow." She added before dismissing the class. Riyku would take off. He had not forgotten about his plans this afternoon, so he made his way towards the gate of the University. In doing so, he would begin to wait for Kristen to show up. His hands tucked into the pockets of his pants for the time being. Many people were taking glances at him; though with his eyes closed, it seemed he had not noticed. His eyes only opened when he felt someone was in front of him. Though it wasn't Kristen, no it was the violet-haired woman from yesterday. "What are you doing out here?" She perked up at him as he glanced down at her. "Waiting for someone." Riyku would reply. "Oh? Me to. Is this person a friend?" She asked him in which Riyku would shift his glance skyward in thought before returning his glance to her. "More like an acquaintance." He replied to her. "Ah, I am waiting for my friend. She said she wanted to do some shopping today. So, we are going together." The woman replied in which Riyku's brow rose. "Shopping?" He inquired, it wasn't odd for people to meet up in front of commonplaces, but it couldn't be a coincidence, right?
And just as a confirmation to his thought, Kristen's voice shouted towards the woman. "Lira!" A soft breath escaped his lips. "Kristen!" The violet-haired woman who was apparently named Lira would wave her over. So, she was the other student who did not attend the classroom. Well, she seemed like a studious type in the end. "Oh, I see you've met Riyku already," Kristen stated as she saw Riyku standing against the brick wall. "Riyku?" Lira looked at the male who glanced over him. "Then, your acquaintance is?" She shifted her glance to Kristen. "Acquaintance?" Kristen inquired in which Lira nodded. "He said he was waiting on an Acquaintance." Kristen had recalled him talking about being all alone yesterday in which she nudged the male in the rib-cage. "Come on, no need to be so cold. We are friends after all." Riyku would huff lightly. "Knock it off already, you said we were going shopping for clothes today. Besides we are nothing more than roommates." Riyku stated; having adjusted the word from acquaintance to roommate. Kristen didn't let that slide though, "I see, you are just too shy to admit we are friends." She added with more nudging. Lira who had been watching the transaction began to giggle lightly. This caught their attention which stopped their bickering.
"Oh sorry, It's just. Rumor has it that he is supposed to be some kind of murderous killer. Yet he does not give off that kind of vibe at all." Lira stated in which Kristen's eyes seemed to hold sorrow before they changed to a happier glance when they shifted to Riyku. "Yup. Rumors are nothing but rumors after all. Come on, let's get this shopping done. We need to pick out some stylish clothing for him. Apparently, all he has is his uniform. Don't know why though." Kristen stated in which Lira would comment, "Oh my, that's no good. Now I see why I was invited along." She added before taking them both by the wrist and attempting to lead them. "Hey, Hey!" Kristen exclaimed though Riyku seemed rather awestruck with the current moment. It wasn't long before Lira released them so they could keep up easily.
It didn't take long for them to reach the shopping district; stores lined up along the straight path with food stalls every so often. It was quite busy too; the smell of delicious foods coming from the stalls along with the hustle and bustle made this place seem pretty popular. "Come on," Kristen stated as the three of them moved through the crowd and entered a shop. "Welcome!" A strong voice greeted them. "Oh, Students of the Gambit University. What brings you three here today?" A proud shopkeep came up to them with a warm smile. The eyes of the shopkeeper glanced over them before looking at the male. "My, whose boyfriend is he?" The question caused Kristen to shake her head and wave her hand while Lira seemed to blush lightly. "No ones." They both said in sync. "Pity. He is quite a catch; beneath that Blazer, you can tell his body is well built. Under those pants, he has some fine calves. His shoulders and gluts are so scrumptious looking too. If you ladies don't want him I'll take him." The male stated happily. Riyku's brow rose, "As flattering as you make that seem. I am not interested in men. Though, I can ask for your opinion on clothing, yes?" Riyku inquired in which the male cooed lightly. "Shame, but since it is clothing you are looking for. I can be of service." The male stated happily as he clasped his hands.
"Yumo!" Kirsten shouted in which the male looked towards him, "My darling, why are you upset? He isn't into men. So don't worry about me stealing him from you." The keep stated with a teasing smile. "Or you." He glanced to Lira with a chuckle which caused her to blush even more. Kristen sighed softly, "Can you just fetch my order please, and Lira's as well." Kristen would remark. "Of course, Hunny. No need to give me a hard time. I am grateful for your faithful service, ladies." The Keep ventured off in which Riyku looked at both of them. "Order?" Riyku asked softly, So she had already planned on coming here in the first place. Well, the place did have quite the style of clothing the more he looked around. It was almost like a fashion show in here. "Yup. I and Lira are partaking of the Death Games that are coming up soon." Kristen replied. There it was, the term Death Games.
"Since you seem so confused, Lira can explain it better than I can." Kristen had seen the expression of wonder on his face. Lira would step up to look up at Riyku, her flushed face lightly dying down now. "The Death Games are a nationwide tournament between the schools of each Overhaul. There are four Overhauls in total. Ours is known as Strife, then there is Contagion, Oblivion, and Paucity. Of course, each school is known as Gambit's School, but most call them by their Overhaul names. Our school is the School of Strife." Lira would halt her explanation to see if Riyku was following in which he was. She continued, "Every year, Death Games is held to determine which Overhaul will be crowned for the following year. Crowned Overhauls are given special privileges as in, discounted prices; lower tax rates and most cases an abundance of funds. Those who can compete in the Death Games are only students of either Highschool status and higher." Once more it seemed she to took a moment to see if Riyku was keeping up.
Indeed he was; so she continued, "The Death Games are mostly combatant games consisting of capture the flag to straight up combat. Though while these games may be easy; the reason they are called Death Games is that Death is permitted. As long as the Game is in sessions, Death is allowed. Which is the reason why only those of Highschool grade and up are only allowed." Well, Riyku figured out that much from the simple term Death Games, but now he wondered... Why did they want to enter?
"Why enter if you can die?" Riyku questioned. "Well, the rewards for winning equal to that of death. While there is the prestige of your Overhaul; there are also rewards for those who perform the best out of everyone in the Games. Not everyone will die Riyku." Kristen answered for Lira. "What kind of reward?" Riyku asked in which Lira would speak up, "Points, rising in the ranking, weapons, and armor, as well as VIP status for medical facilities. In addition to that, you may be immune to being deranked or even enslaved for the entirety of that year no matter how many games or points you lose." Riyku's brow rose slightly at what was offered. That indeed was quite a bit; It was pretty much a free pass to a wonderful life as long as one did not lose. "When are these games?" Riyku questioned.
"Are you thinking of entering?" Kristen questioned. "Maybe," Riyku added in which Lira shook her head. "I wouldn't. The games are tough on individuals. Besides, many who enter, enter as a team. Teams can only consist of up to three people. I, Kristen and Vex are all part of a team. So if you thought of joining up with us that would be impossible." Lira explained in which Riyku nodded lightly. "I see." The male was alone, and generally worked solo it seemed. So he would have a problem with trying to make a team or become part of one. "Do people enter solo?" Riyku asked in which Kristen's brow rose. Lira seemed to become flustered suddenly. "Yes, but those who do end up dead. Do not do it." Lira was quite firm with her statement. Kristen placed her hand upon her friend's shoulder and smiled softly.
"His mind is made up. He isn't any pushover either. He beat me in combat, so I am sure he will be fine." Kristen remembered that Riyku said he was normally all alone. She had put two and two together; figuring that maybe he did things solo all the time. If his entire life was solo work... he should be fine. Though the linger of sadness dwelled deep within her hues. Lira wanted to speak against this, but she refrained from such when she noticed Kristen's glance. To Lira, it seemed that Kristen and Riyku had quite a bond for her to give such a look especially right after their bout. So she remained quiet for now. The Keep would come forth with three briefcases in which he handed a single black and single white one to Kristen while a Violet one was handed to Lira. "There ya go Hunny. Just be sure to come back alive." He stated after they took the briefcases then would glance to Riyku. "Are you ready?" He asked in which Riyku would reply, "Do you think you can make me an outfit for the games as well?" The male's brow rose while the two girls seemed to shy away. "I can put the rush order in. It won't be done until the day before the Games at the earliest. Are you entering?" Yumo questioned with a serious expression. "I am," Riyku replied with a firm resolve in which the keep studied upon before nodding. "Very well. What kind of enchantment do you want on it? We can only do up to three for free; the max is six but the rest will cost you." Yumo stated. "Enchantment?" Riyku inquired. "Oh, you don't know? Girls, what are you teaching this man?" Yumo teased before beginning to explain what Enchantment was.
"Enchantments are properties of the armor. There are three types, Offensive, Defensive and Supportive. Offensive properties contain an increase in attack power and speed. Defensive will be durability as well as armor enhancement and Supportive can be things like auto-regeneration of the armor or even auto-healing. Supportive properties are bizarre and unique; unlike Offensive and Defensive, you can not pick which kind of Support Property you get. Of course, you can redo all properties but at a cost." Yumo's explanation was quite easy to understand. Since Riyku was already firm on Offensive and Defensive, you left the choices up to Supportive. "Support enchantments then." Of course, his answer caused the three to go eyes wide. "Are you sure? As I said, it is random." Yumo would confirm. "Yes." Riyku nodded in which Yumo would take that order down on his wristband. "Alright, well with that out of the way. Let us do some shopping. I went ahead and found several outfits for you to try out. Ladies if you will show him to the dressing room five. I have prepared the outfits there." Yumo stated in which the girls who were still bewildered by the fast pace of everything took a moment. "Ladies," Yumo called to them several times before getting their attention. "Sorry, Sorry. Room five got it. Thanks, Yumo!" Kristen stated as she took hold of Lira's wrist to drag her along. "Let's go. Come on Riyku." Following them to the specificated room, Riyku would walk into space before shutting the curtain. There were several hangers with several styles of clothing; though most of the styles held a 'dark' aspect to it.
Since Riyku could store his Uniform in his Inventory it would make getting undressed easily of which afterward he would proceed to get changed. Stepping out afterward in dark blue jeans with a dark navy blue shirt to match. His hands stuffed into his pocket as he looked at the two. "Well?" Riyku inquired as to which both of them nodded. "It looks casual. It's nice." Both of them stated before Riyku ventured back behind the curtain only to come out a moment later in black jeans and a black button-up shirt, of course, the buttons were not fully knitted leaving the collar open. Kristen smiled softly, while Lira seemed to tilt her head lightly. "It's lovely." Kristen stated, "It's okay." Lira stated in which the two looked at each other before giggling. Riyku would shake his head and venture back before coming out again. This time the outfit was more light; the pants were a nice light blue color; the shirt seeing to be plain white with a jean jacket over the shirt. "How tame," Lira stated happily while Kristen was in disagree. "How Plain." Clearly the two had different fashion choices; of course, Lira seemed to lean more towards casual and light-hearted wear while Kristen was more towards darker and playful. This venture of rinse and repeat went on for quite a while.
Finally, shopping for clothing was done. Normally, all of the clothes would be in bags; but since they were students it seemed the clothing would be shipped to their dorm rooms. Looking at a nearby clock on the wall, Riyku judged it to be half-past six. "It's almost time," Riyku stated in which Kristen looked to the clock as well. "Oh yeah! That's right!" She exclaimed as the three left the building. "What?" Lira questioned in which Kristen would explain, "Well, Riyku has a promised challenge with Barron from our class today around Seven." "Oh..." Lira would state softly before following up with a shout, "WHAT!?" This drew the attention of the crowd for a split moment in which Kristen would quiet her down. "Yeah. I didn't get the details, but I heard it was over something about Riyku Challenging the HeadMistress." Of course, the two seemed to go on about it before Lira confirmed with Riyku. "Why are you challenging the HeadMistress?" Lira questioned in which Riyku would shrug. "In the heat of the moment, I guess." Riyku's answer was rather lackluster in which the girls were even more confused. Of course, Riyku did it for a certain reason, yet he had zero obligation to tell anymore.
While the two girls chattered the three of them seemed to have made their way back, and arrived with some time to spare it or so it seemed at first. Barron was waiting in the courtyard by the fountain as he had stated. Riyku would proceed onward from the two who would follow to see what was going to happen. "Wow, you actually showed up, though... You brought some baggage. The pitiful excuse for a Legend and her dog of a friend." Barron had made note of the two who glared at him. Riyku sighed heavily, "At least these two are more pleasant to listen to than your insufferable voice." Riyku retorted; if he had looked back at the girls he could see their expression change from sour to sweet with slight shock since they did not believe Riyku would stand up for them. "Ah, whatever. Let's get this started. Riyku Von Rosario, I challenge you!" Barron stated in which Riyku nodded. "Go on then." He forked over the terms of the challenge so easily; which caught the two girls by surprise. "The game will be quiet simple. Since Exams are coming up, the winner is the one who scores the highest. As our terms stated previously; you will forget about this deal you made with the HeadMistress." Barron stated. "And if I win, as stated you will provide me with points equal to that of which I would have lost." The two seemed to be in agreement; however, unlike before how two beams would shoot up the two beam instead clashed together once before disappearing. "Since this challenge won't be fruitful till then, the game is on hold until the day our scores are revealed," Barron stated before turning from the male. "Therefore, you can be challenged again; however, not forty-eight hours prior to the release of our exam scores," Barron added as he walked off in which Riyku shook his head before turning towards the girls. "Well that was anti-climatic; although, giving the terms away to Barron may be your downfall," Lira stated. "Why?" Riyku inquired. "Barron has always held the number one spot for scores. Not just the University; but the entire Overhaul. He has never once been anywhere below first when it comes to testing scores." Kristen explained in which Riyku shrugged. "There is a first for everything. No one is ever the strongest, there is always someone stronger than you." Riyku added as he began walking towards the dorms.
"Does that apply to you?" Lira asked as the two followed him. "Of course," Riyku stated firmly. "he's plenty strong as is..." Kristen muttered with a heavy huff. "Alright, I'm going to hang out with Lira for a bit. My men should've already put your stuff away Riyku. If you are truly thinking about registering for the Death Games, you only have until the end of tomorrow. After which the registration closes. You can register via ID wristband or at the front office." Kristen stated in which he nodded the three went their ways. Kristen and Lira went off somewhere together while Riyku would head up to his room. Entering into the room, taking off his shoes and closing the door before flicking the lights on the male would head towards his bed. Laying down on his back he would stare at the ceiling in thought, "Death Games... They'll help me get stronger. But, Why am I here?" Riyku whispered to himself.
"Coco, you wouldn't happen to know would you?" Riyku questioned in which Coco would reply, "No. That form of knowledge goes beyond me. The system only gives me so much information. " Riyku sighed heavily, "System eh?" What was this System thing anyways? Why did he have one? The more he thought about it, the more it dawned on him that the only way to gain answers was to search through the memory fragments. Though, he had no means to go through them. The only way was through dreams and from what it seemed like; it was purely random. All he knew was he needed to become stronger, strong enough to never lose again. It was then he heard a knock at the door. Getting up he would venture towards the door and open it only to see Mina. Her breathing was rather hastened and she seemed exhausted. "P-please, you need to come quick." She held a worried voice as well. "Why? What's wrong?" Riyku's voice and mouth moved before he had time to even think. "It's my brother. He's in deep trouble, please!" Mina exclaimed to which Riyku would nod. "Alright lead the way." Quickly the male would put his shoes on before following after Mina. The two seemed to race down the stairs in a flash. Though, it seemed that Mina was lagging behind due to her exhaustion. If Skylar was truly in trouble they didn't have time to waste; scooping her into his arms, "Hang on." He stated which caused her to suddenly wrap her arms around his neck just before the male leaped past the next fleet of stairs down to the base floor. "Alright, where to now?" Riyku asked in which a second later Mina brought back from her bewildering expression. "The Gym." This place Riyku hadn't gone to yet. So he had to bring it up on the mini-map. Thankfully, Coco had been listening in and brought it for him. Every so often Riyku would eye the map on his UI as he raced towards the Gym.
It didn't take long before they arrived, to which Riyku would release Mina gentle as he eyed several people ganging up on Skylar. "Fucking Loser! We won't acknowledge you as our Captain!" "Stop it!" Mina shouted to them which drew their attention towards her as well as Riyku. "What's this? You brought this punk in because you couldn't stop us yourself? The deal doesn't change remember. Since you lost; you were to either become our pleasure toy or let us pummel your little brother to death." They truly seemed like the scum of the world at this moment. The track team that was, "Is that so?" Riyku would move an arm past her; glaring at the track team before him. "Rules are rules, you can't intervene." One of the guys stated. "True... Although, how about a game." The male muttered as he glared at the men before him. A plan seemed to have formed quite quickly inside of his mind. "Why would we accept any challenge from you?" "Yeah! We already know what you are capable of! We aren't that stupid." They exclaimed to which Riyku snickered. "Challenge me, Mina," Riyku stated in which the guys all seemed dumbfounded. "What the fuck?" "What are you going to have your way with her first?" They were rather confused, but not as confused as Mina. "Do it now!" Riyku shouted which seemed to cause her body to jolt. Though she quickly fell prey to his silver-tongue. "I Challenge you, Riyku!" Mina shouted in which Riyku's snicker turned to a devilish smirk.
"The game is simple, Mina. A simple coin flip. You pick first and I get the other choice. If I win, you are bound to me, not by enslavement. But by a bond that far exceeds that of any form of friendship." Riyku stated which caused Mina's eyes to go wide which caused her to halt when it came to stating her terms. "What is it you want right now? What is it you desire of me at this very moment?" Riyku asked as the guys stared at them. It was then Mina understood what he was trying to do. "Save me..." Mina mumbled behind soft tears. "I can't hear you, shout it! From your heart and soul for all to hear!" Riyku exclaimed. "Save me and my brother; Riyku, Protect us with all your might no matter what!"Mina shouted with heavy sobs; in which the deal was sealed, the two beams shot skyward giving off their portraits. It was then a coin appeared from the sky and began to fall down. "Very well..." Riyku would crack his knuckles; of course, his bones were indestructible. "W-wait? That doesn't void our deal, right!?" The guys began to mutter and chatter over what was going on. "There's no way that voids our deal..." They began to shudder in fear.
"You guys..." Riyku would glance back at them, his stare striking fear into their hearts thanks to his intimidation skill. "You better hope, I win." He finished with a smirk. "Because, If I lose... I'm going to send you all straight to hell." A wicked grin curled across his face. For whatever reason, it seemed that Riyku was furious. Though why should he be? He had just met Mina today and Skylar yesterday. They were less than friends, but for some reason... something beckoned him to protect them. As the guys stared at the coin which bounced off the ground several times. "Heads!" Mina shouted. "The coin steadily began to stop once it bounced to where it was now spinning on the edge." "That's bullshit! That doesn't void our contract!" All the members shouted; which eventually awoke Skylar whose blurry vision rested upon Riyku and his Sister. "I knew... You... Were a good person..." Skylar muttered before passing out cold.
"Land on Tails dammit!" The guys shouted as Mina clasped her hands together as if to pray. Riyku's eyes seemed more so hate-filled than cold. "User Riyku, your heart rate has exceeded past normal means. Is it because of what happened?" Coco inquired throughout their mental link. "I don't know... Something inside me is yelling. Screaming... trashing about to be unleashed." He growled as he glanced at the status on his UI. His bonus for Mana was gone, but the bonus for his Shield Points remained. "Protect them... no matter the cost." Riyku muttered as he balled his fist. "User Riyku?" Coco inquired before a text box appeared before Riyku.
'Passive Skill acquired. Guardian Angel Lv.1'
Riyku's eyes widened for a moment. "What is this?" He inquired. He wanted to find out; but before he could accomplish anything the alarm of a winner went off. Looking up, Riyku noticed it was Mina's portrait that was lite up while his portrait was crossed out would signal the beginning of everything. Kicking off his heel he easily reached one of the members of the track team. Catching them by the face he slammed them into the ground. It was as if the alarm of the winner was what the trigger for him to start. Quick to lean back from a fist that came his way out of fear; he would grasp the arm and twist it while yanking the guy around before slamming his elbow upon the joint of the attacker breaking their arm which caused them to scream in pain. He would then pick the guy up by the throat and slam him into the ground as well. The floorboard breaking from the force unlike the first one. Though it didn't end there, something inside of Riyku caused him to rush around within the shadows.
'Active Skill acquired. Shadow Step. Lv.5'
It was as if the male had appeared from one of the member's shadows. To which he caught said member by the hair and ripped them back slamming the back of their skull into the ground before stomping upon their stomach several times to put them firmly in the floorboard. Three were taken out; while four remained. These four were now running to get out of the Gym as fast as possible.
However, It seemed Riyku was not going to have it. His speed seemed to have increased; along with his strength as well. Kicking one of the members straight into the wall from his spinal cord before dashing towards another one using the shadows yet again. This one he would grasp their track shirt; yank them back to trip them over his leg before stomping upon their ankle and kneecap several times before looking up from the screaming track member to the others. Now there were only two left; both of which were running in opposite directions of each other. A wick snicker left the male's lips as he dashed towards one of them, dropping low into a slide only to grasp that members ankle. 'Blink.' The male commanded as he teleported himself as well as the track member in hand, in front of the other track member. Thankfully, they hadn't gotten too far apart. Since he was standing up straight now he was able to easily bring the track member in hand to smack straight into the running track member as if hitting a baseball with a bat, but it was more like slamming a person into another person. One could hear the cracking of several bones from the sheer force as he released the member which sent the two flying across the Gym, and when Riyku was done; all that was left was several unconscious and critically wounded track members along with a serious injured Skylar and an awestruck Mina.
Exhaling a deep breath the male seemed to have looked over to Skylar who was still unconscious. "Mina, call a medic right away." He told her as he raced to Skylar. His voice returned to its natural state now. "Umm... Yes of course." Mina who didn't have time to process everything began phoning a medic to their location. Riyku kissed his teeth as he looked over Skylar's body. Many bones were broken, and it appeared as if he lost a lot of blood. "I'll kill them..." Riyku growled under his breath. Just the state of which Skylar was in, angered him. "By the looks of it, you did," Coco stated internally, though Riyku didn't reply. Mina raced beside them after she finished calling a medic through the wristband. "They are on their way. How is my brother?" Mina's worried expression deepened seeing the state he was in. "He will most likely be in the ER for a while," Riyku stated grimly. "R-Riyku..." Mina shuddered partly in fear. "I'll protect you. I'll protect Skylar. No matter what..." Riyku stated firmly, which seemed to calm her fear. Though... when she glanced at the bodies. She couldn't help but retain some of it.
The doors of the Gym would burst open, but it wasn't the Medical team. It was Kristen and Lira; along with Amorira and Barron. "What the hell happened here?" Kristen questioned. "Riyku!?" Lira called out. "The track team...?" Amorira inquired. "Explain now!" Kristen demanded as the four approached Mina and Riyku. Riyku stood up taking note of them heading this way, but before anyone could say anything. "Blink," Riyku muttered as his body teleported in front of Amorira in which he picked the guy up by the throat and began to strangle him. Eyes filled with hatred glaring firmly at the male. "You... You bastard... You knew about this didn't you!?" Riyku shouted as Amorira clawed at Riyku's arm to release him. Kristen, Lira, and Barron were awestruck by the fact that Riyku went from one place to another in a blink of an eye. It was then that they truly noticed that Riyku was seriously about to kill Amorira. "Riyku, let go of him!" Kristen shouted. "Riyku!" Lira shouted. "Answer me!" Riyku shouted to Amorira who eventually choked out. "No." It was then Riyku released him. His body dropped to the floor as he stared down at the male. "You are telling me that you didn't know your guys were going to **** Mina and kill Skylar?" Riyku glared at Amorira who seemed quite afraid of him. Be it the fact of the intimidation skill or that his life had flashed before his eyes just now. The others were once more dumbfounded by what Riyku just said. It took everyone a moment to process this before Kristen and Lira raced towards Mina while Barron looked at Amorira. "Did you truly not know?" Barron questioned. Sure he had not known Riyku for even day, but he could tell from the scene around and how beat up Skylar was that Riyku was not lying.
"Fine! I did! But I told them to drop it! The terms of a challenge are absolute! They decided to get hung up on getting revenge for me, but I told them it was a waste of time. They should apply themselves to bringing the track team up! I didn't know anything about **** and murder, I only knew they wanted to do something about Skylar!" Amorira confessed. Riyku who was about to sock him was stopped by Barron who shook his head while placing a hand upon his shoulder. "I don't know what truly happened here, but everything will need to be explained to the HeadMistress. The rules of a challenge are absolute as stated. So if those guys did challenge her and she lost. She must abide by the conditions." Barron stated in which Riyku's glare shifted from Amorira to Barron.
"You lost earlier. It was why everyone came here. To see what happened... Though, I can put it together easily. You had Mina challenge you to a game, of which the conditions would be you protecting her if she won correct? You are quite clever... however, only the HeadMistress can decide what will become of this. Those who own the power of the Overhaul are the only ones who can cancel out the terms of a challenge." Barron stated. "Go back to her side. I'll take care of Amorira." Barron who appeared to be some kind of asshole earlier today was rather sympathetic with everything. I mean who wouldn't be? No one of truly wicked intention wants to see their fellow student raped or murdered, right?
Riyku nodded before returning to Mina and Skylar. "Mina told us everything," Lira stated softly. "What you did... It's not something anyone has ever done. Games are supposed to be in the favor of one or the other, not both. Not to mention, you assaulted seven track members. The jurisdiction lies with the HeadMistress on if you end up severally punished or not." Kristen stated lightly. Though, Riyku wasn't thinking about any of that. "It doesn't matter. I'll do what needs to be done." Riyku stated in which Kristen inquired, "Even if it means murder?" Riyku would nod, but Lira would shake her head. "You are not a killer, Riyku. I will protest to that." She seemed firm in her statement. "Same! Even though you beat me, you don't seem like a bad person." Kristen added. "Your aura isn't that of someone who murders all. It is of someone who protects with all of his strength." Mina stated softly; having overcome her earlier fear of him thanks to Lira and Kristen. "I will defend you as well, and I am sure Skylar will too," Mina added. Riyku nodded firmly to them, as he knelt down to take hold of Skylar's hand. "Hang in there..." He muttered with a worrisome tone in which the other three placed theirs on top of his. It wouldn't be long before the medical team arrived and everyone injured was rushed to the ER.
It was then that Riyku's name along with Mina's was called over the intercom. "Riyku Von Rosario, Mina Novaa report to the HeadMistress Office at once!" Riyku and Mina glanced at each other before taking off. "We are coming to." Kristen and Lira followed them. "I'll come along, as will Amorira," Barron stated as he pretty much dragged Amorira. The group seemed to venture out of the Gymnasium and off towards the HeadMistress' Office; lead by Mina and Riyku all in order to face whatever punishment was to become of them.
