Chapter 25: The Advice

Cameron Hayes' POV

I was jumping on my steps as I went to the drawing-room. I can see that Ella was not immune as she claimed. I will have her no matter what but I will have fun in that matter as well. I reached the drawing-room before I pushed the door and strode inside.

Dylan was sitting in front of the fireplace that was not being set up. I don't know why but maybe because he did not turn on the switch. Then I saw it. He was fidgeting and let me tell you, he never fidgets in his life.

"Hello coz. Fancy seeing you here. I thought you might leave me alone for 3 months?" I said as I was sitting on the sofa opposite him. Dylan was out of the present as he was looking at the fireplace.

"Dylan, hey!" I said as I was snapping my fingers at him before he turned to look at him. He was relieved but he still wary.

"What's wrong?" I asked. Knowing Dylan, he might be having some brawl after I left him last night in the bar.

"Oh, Cam. I did something horrible," he said as he was raking his hair with his fingers. I was eyeing me with my eyebrows furrowed at his reaction.

"I did it, Cam. I did it. I broke the law," he said before I stood up.

"What do you mean?" I asked him as he shook his head. Dylan was breathing heavily before I held his arms.

"What did you do, Dylan?" I asked him sternly before he was breathing hard.

"I thought I just wanted for a kiss but one thing leads to another and—"

"What? What did you do?" I asked as I was being impatient when I was looking at him. He was regarding me with the regret in his eyes.

"I bedded Daisy and we were not married," he said quietly before I was looking at my cousin, trying to register what he said. I blinked at him.

"You did what?!" I shouted as fury was settling inside me. I cannot believe it! My cousin, the one that has been Grandpa's favorite has broken the sacred of our laws and upbringing.

"You must never bed a woman unless she is your wife. If you do, your powers will be unstable and there will be nothing to stop it," my grandpa reminded us now and then to marry before we bed someone. I have done the marriage part but Dylan, he had skipped it and I was trying to find some solution for him.

"What should I do, Cam? I don't know if I will be able to survive it if—"

"Don't. I forbid you to say that here. We don't it yet but I know for one thing that you can ask that woman now," I said as I was looking at him.

"What?" He asked as I was looking at him sternly.

"Marry her and make this right. When you married her and bed her again, the curse will not come to us and we can forget all of this ever happen," I said as I was looking at him. He sighed.

"But she hates me," he said. I scoffed at him.

"If she let you bedded her, you do know well that it was far from hate,"

"But we were under the presence of alcohol," he argued before I was arching my eyebrow at him. He bit his lips before he sighed.

"Okay, fine. I will do what I must," Dylan said as I went to pat his shoulder.

"Now that's the spirit. And talking about spirit," I said as I was eyeing the alcoholic beverage right now.

"No, no. I have to go. I have to make this right as soon as possible," Dylan said before he was moving to get out of the room to do his job.

"Good luck buddy. You need it," I said as he was running toward the corridor and was out of sight as I was shaking my head.

"Lucky for you, I was not like you, cousin. I still have my head last night," I said as I remembered last night that we were trying to lose ourselves. Instead, we have landed our marriage and I think I can say that luck was on my side.

If my wife did not think otherwise.

Ella Lattone's POV

I was pacing back and forth as I was looking around the room. I cannot stay here. It was too much for me. All I ever wanted was to live a normal life, out of poverty. Is that too much to ask?

I sighed before I was sitting on the bed. I was still in my towel as I just finished my shower and right now, I don't want to go out of the room yet. But I think I stay in the room would not do any difference.

Cam would be coming in any second now.

I went to the drawer and trying to find my clothes. I don't know where he put my clothes but I have to find it. I was looking in each drawer but it was only his clothes. I went to the cupboard and I was looking at his suits arranged in them before I was looking around. Where would my clothes be?

"Looking for something, Mrs. Hayes?" Cam asked as I was turning to look at him. He was leaning against the doorframe, looking handsome as he was while the sun caught his hair and his eyes were glistening in the early evening light.

"Yes. I am. I was looking for my clothes since you said that you have moved my things to your house but I don't see it anywhere," I said as I was holding my towel even tighter to my body. He smirked.

"Is that so?"

"Yes. Why would you think otherwise?" I said as I was rolling my eyes at him. He chuckled before he went to the drawer that I just looked into.

"I looked there and there was—"

"You have to wear this for tonight. The moving company will bring your things tomorrow. You have a lot of stuff to be carried," he said as he handed me his dress shirt again. I looked at it before he arched his eyebrow.

"I mean, if you're comfortable with sleeping naked, I don't mind—" I did not let him finish his sentence before I took the dress shirt and went to the bathroom. My face burned as my blush was settling in my face before I was trying to control my breath.

I closed the bathroom door as I was leaning against it. I was looking at the dress shirt and tsked. I did not know that I have to wear this thing for tonight. I don't even have clean underwear!

I sighed before I dropped the towel and I was putting the dress shirt on. It fell to my thighs before I was buttoning the shirt. I think Cam was enjoying to bully me right now. He might take advantage of this situation.

No matter, I know self-defense.

I was taking the towel before I was putting it into the dirty basket, along with his clothes from earlier that I was wearing. Slowly, I opened the door and I was looking around. I don't know what Cam was doing but I was relieved when he was out of the room. I sighed.

"It seems that you were relieved if I was not around," he replied as I was startled to see that he was standing next to the bathroom. Cam turned to look at me before he was eyeing me up and down. I was hugging myself when I was glaring at him.

"You must be hungry. I already have Reese to send our dinner in here," he said as he was moving toward the table that was sitting near the window. Only then I can smell the food and my stomach was growling.

"I guess right. Come now," he said as he pulled my elbow and dragged me to the table. I can smell the food and my mouth watered. It was nice and I was famished.

"I hope you hungry," Cam said as he was pulling the chair for me to sit on. He smirked before he was whispering to me.

"But I forgot that you already announced that to the world," he said huskily in my left ear and I felt shivers over my body.

God, can this man not do that?!

I was looking at the food as they were smelling so good. I was eyeing the steak with mash potatoes and salad that I gulped, trying to control myself not to pig out right now.

"Bon appetite," Cam said before I was glaring at him as he picked up the knife and fork and started to eat. I did the same and we fell into this comfortable silence between us. I think this was not bad after all.

Once we were done with our food, I was sipping on the wine before Cam was setting the glass on the table and got up from the table.

"Well, I think I might sleep after this," he said before he went to the bathroom. When the door closed, I was eyeing the bed.

Dont tell me we have to share a bed?!

Suddenly, the heat was traveling to my stomach and it settled there. I was gulping before I was looking outside the room. I hoped that he will not insist to sleep together.

"Aren't you coming?" Cam asked that I turned to look at him, who was ready to sleep as he settled in the bed. I smiled before I put the wine glass on the table.

"You go ahead, I will come later," and by that I mean never. He shrugged.

"Suit yourself," he said before he was dozed off while I was trying to think of anything else other than his naked chest right now.

Damn him!
