Chapter 26: The Assault

Ella Lattone's POV

"Man, you look horrible," Barbara said as she was eyeing me right now. I turned to look at her.

"You think?" I snapped as I was trying to read the journals that I have to do with my Research Methodology class. I don't think that I will be suffering today if I was staying up until morning last night. I yawned again for the nth time as I was trying to get the words into my mind. I shook my head.

"I don't think I can do this anymore. I need to get a nap," I said as I was looking at Barbara before she smiled.

"Of course," she said as her left hand was shining with her wedding and engagement ring. Barbara told us that she got married last 2 weeks but she did not disclose who was her groom.

Not that I was interested anyway.

I did not tell them yet that I have married to one obnoxious man who was my TA. I don't think that they will judge but still, I was not ready to answer their questions for that marriage. I was not wearing my rings when I put them in my bag as I was still conscious to wear it.

Maybe after Cam declared his love I will consider it.

But for now, I was happy to show that I was single to the world. Cam would never know as I don't have Volcanology Ecosystem today.

"Well, I love to sit and chat with you, Barb, but I am sleepy and I think I might snap at people if I did not get enough sleep," I said as I was moving to hug her before I was out of the library. I was yawning when I was making my way to the lounge that we graduate love to hang out.

I was walking into the building as it was deserted when people were in their classes right now. I was making my way to the lounge when I was being stopped by Silas, the guy that I met on my visit.

"Going somewhere?" He asked as he blocked the entrance to the lounge. There was no one there as I was sighing, looking at him with lazy eyes.

"Look, mister—"

"Silas, we met before. You don't remember my name?" He asked as I rolled my eyes at him. I don't want to deal with this right now. I wanted to sleep!

"Thank you," I said as I was about to move before he stopped me again, blocking my way. Now I was getting irritated.

"What will I get in return? You see, I don't do good just for anything," he said as he was showing his perfectly lined teeth. If I was not considering that he was a mad scientist, he got the looks.

"You don't get anything because I'm afraid I don't have anything to give to you," I replied as I looked at him. Silas smirked.

"Everyone has a prize," he said as he was eyeing me up and down my body. Now I felt like I was being undressed by him unwillingly.

"Only I know on how," he said before he was pushing me inside before he closed the door. I did not have any energy since I was lack of sleep. And right now, Silas was taking advantage of that.

"What are you doing?" I asked him as I heard a click. Damn it! He locked us in and I don't think that people will walk by now.

"Silas, stop this madness," I said as I was looking at him. He smirked again as he was walking toward me.

"And why is that? You know I was not fond of that word. 'Madness'. It seems that I was an unstable person," he said as I was inclined to agree with him.

He was mad.

I was walking away from him. The lounge was small but if I can put some distance between them, I will. I was moving away from him as he was stalking toward me.

"You see, I have dated every woman in the department but no one was much more intriguing than you right now," he said as we were circling the room.

"I thought you were dating that Chemistry TA,"

"Who, Maya? No, we broke up when she was being intrigued by someone. You see, our relationship was more of…physical. No emotion attached and I think I wanted to physically feel you," Silas said as he was attacking me. And sleep deprivation, I was not responding quickly enough.

I was being backed up on the wall as Silas was kissing my neck before he was trying to get me out of my clothes. I tried to push him but he was strong as the tears were forming in my eyes. I was struggling and screaming. I was shouting loudly and before Silas can kiss me on my lips, the door burst opened and I looked to see that Cam was pissed off.

"Get your hands off my wife, you jerk!"

Cameron Hayes' POV

I was looking at the papers as I remembered the face that Ella made when she was dressing up. If I would have to guess, she did not sleep a wink last night and I shook my head at that thought.

"Hey, do you want to get lunch?" My friend asked me as I saw that Dylan was not around the office. I don't know where he was at the moment but I hoped that he was doing the right thing with that woman named Daisy, I think?

"Yeah, sure. Just let me get my phone," I said as I was looking at the phone and it was noon I smiled before I remembered that Ella had finished her classes by now.

"You know what," I said as I was facing my friend, "why don't you go ahead? I will join you later at the cafeteria," I said as he nodded. He went out of the room as I was calling for Ella. I hoped that she would pick up.

"The number you have dialed is not in service," it went straight to her voicemail. I ended the call before I was calling her again as I was moving out of the office as well. I kept on trying when she was not picking up until I heard a horrified scream near me.

It was along the hallway. Even though there were a lot of classrooms here but they were soundproof unless…it was coming from the lounge. And the scream was familiar.

No!

I went ahead to the lounge as I was looking through the narrow window that I saw red. Silas was kissing Ella's neck, which belonged to me. I was furious and when I reached for the handle, it was locked.

"Fuck," I cursed under my breath as I was pushing the door with my shoulder. Not even budged. I looked at the hinges that were holding the door. I looked around and there was no one in sight. Might as well use my power before Silas does anything crazy.

I was pointing my hand at the hinges and melted them. If you must know, I was the wielder of Fire element and I can distribute heat to the object that I wanted. And right now, I wanted the hinges to melt. And they did.

I kicked the door with my might before the door was slamming to the floor. Silas stopped in his assault before I was Ella was sobbing silently. I was breathing hard as I know that Silas has caused the tears in Ella's eyes.

"Get your hands off my wife, you jerk!"

I shouted before I went to Silas and gripped his collar. I punched him as I was throwing my punches to his face. He did not deserve to be here any longer and I will make sure of that.

"Cam, stop!" Ella shouted as I was being controlled by my anger right now. I was punching him again until Max came and he calmed me down.

"Cameron Hayes. Stop or you will be expelled for violence," he said as I was holding my punch in the air as I was looking at Silas who was smirking and bleeding. I turned to look at Max who was arching his eyebrow at me as I was breathing hard before I released Silas. I took Ella's hand and dragged her out of here. I stopped beside my cousin as I was looking at him.

"Don't let him linger here or you know what I will do to someone that dares to touch what's mine," I said before he nodded. I nodded curtly before I pulled Ella out of the lounge. There was only one destination that will calm me and that was home.
