Ella Lattone's POV

I was smiling as I was looking at the papers before I sneaked a glance at the man that was seating in front of me in the library right now. He was so focused as he was grading the quiz that we have last week. It has been weeks since our first time together without the influence of alcohol. I did not know that it would be hurting for the second time around.

I had finally worn the rings that showed my marital status. The students did not know that I married their TA but it was okay. I don't want people to know much unless it was our friends and family. Only I don't tell my aunt and uncle just yet.

I hoped they will not be upset.

Cam was tidying his papers as he was looking at me before he waggled his eyebrows. I smiled as I know what that means. It means that we will be going home and Cam will show one thousand and one other way for his wickedness. I shivered by thinking it.

We were out of the library and I went to the subway as Cam was taking the sub as well. We came to the campus and return home that way. It would be less suspicious if we were in public transportation.

We did not sit together as I was sitting at the other side of the seat and Cam was on the other side. We would not want people to think that we have a relationship but I think they might guess it.

We got off at our station before I went inside the car that Cam brought with us as we were driving home. I smiled as I was looking at our intertwined hands as Cam was putting it on his thigh and occasionally he kissed it.

"I have a surprise for you," Cam said as he was turning into the private road as I was arching my eyebrow at him.

"Oh? And what is that?"

"You'll see," he replied. I shook my head.

"You know, I never trust you when you used that phrase. I think you have something sinister planned for me,"

"Why would you say that?" He asked me before I noticed an unfamiliar car on the courtyard. I looked at Cam before he turned to look at me. We exchanged glances before we got out of the car. Reese came to greet us.

"Master, Mistress, you have visitors—"

"You son of a bitch!" Uncle Edmond's voice was coming from the entrance before he was running toward Cam and he was ready to punch him.

"Edmond, no!" Aunt Lyana said before I was too stunned to see that my guardians were here. Uncle Edmond punched Cam as my husband landed on the ground. Reese has to intervene before uncle Edmond does some damage to his employer.

"Sir," Reese said as he was holding Uncle Edmond.

"Uncle, stop," I said as I went to Cam's side. Well, this was an unexpected visit.

"Ma chére," Aunt Lyana said as she was holding Theo in her hands.

"Edmond, stop this madness. I'm sure they have their reason," Aunt Lyana said as she was looking at me. I was looking at Cam before I sighed.

"Why don't we talk inside, it will be much easier and comfortable for Thea?" I said before uncle Edmond was getting out Reese's hand.

"Shall we?" Uncle Edmond as I was helping Cam to stand.

"Well, that was an awful start. I'm Cameron Hayes, Ella's husband," Cam said as he was smiling at my guardians.

This day got better and better by seconds.

Cameron Hayes' POV

I was sitting on the sofa as the mid-30s man was looking at me with his narrowing blue eyes. He has the same eyes as Ella's and she called her uncle Edmond. So, her relatives then. I turned to look at the woman who was sitting next to him and she was handling her baby.

She was a caring woman I say by the way how she was holding the baby before Ella was making her entrance into the room while carrying the tray of tea and cookies.

"Here, let me help you," I said as I went to her side and I took the tray before I set it down on the table before I was serving the tea and cookies to our guests. Then, we took our seats as Ella was sighing.

"Uncle, Aunt, I want to tell you before this but I don't know how to say it,"

"And you think elopement was a good idea? Honestly, Ella, I don't know what were you thinking to marry this man?!" Edmond said as I was looking at him. Ella gripped my hand as I was trying to control my anger right now.

"Well," Ella said as she looked at me. "I know that you would not approve of him if I asked for your blessings first," Ella said.

"it should be him to ask for my blessing! You're my niece, the only reminder of my sister and I don't think that I wanted this stranger to take you away from us,'

"Ma chére," his wife warned him before I took a deep breath.

"Sir, I intended to ask you for the blessing of your marriage but I only learned about your connection to Ella a few weeks ago and I don't think that—"

"And you don't have the decency to contact me? I mean, what kind of a man that would drag a woman to the altar without her family knows who you are?" Edmond retorted before Ella was standing up and looked at her uncle.

"Enough, uncle. I am old enough to make my decision and I will not hesitate to protect my husband's honor if you insulted him. I understand that you're mad but I wanted you to know as well that I am happily married to him. He has taken good care of me and if you don't accept him for who he was, then I will severe our relationship this instant," Ella said before Edmond stood up as well.

"You can't mean that!"

"And yet, I did. I'm sorry, uncle but my decision is final. If you don't want to lose me, you have to accept my choice for my suitor," Ella said before she linked her hand with mine. Her hand was cold as ice and I was squeezing her for support.

"Well, I think you have to make a choice, love," Edmond's wife, Lyana I think her name, was looking at her husband with their son on her lap. She arched her eyebrow at him before Edmond rubbed his face with his hands. He then turned to look at me.

"Are you sure about this?" He asked Ella as he was still staring at me. I can see the stubbornness was coming from his uncle's side. I amused at the thought.

"And you, boy? You're okay with this?" Edmond asked me before I turned to look into the familiar blue eyes.

"Yes, sir," I said as I turned to look at Ella. She was staring at me. I smiled. "She is everything that I can ever ask," I said as Ella smiled at me and squeezed my hand as well.

"Now that settled. Shall we eat? I am famished from the travel since your uncle was restless to learn about your elopement," Lyana said as she was carrying her baby before Edmond took it from her. She thanked him as she kissed his cheek. Edmond smiled.

"I hope you guys hungry. I think the Cook was making creme brulée for dessert," Ella said as we were walking toward the dining hall.

"My favorite," Lyana said as we went to have some dinner.

I was laying on the bed as Ella was snuggling near me. We cannot do our usual business now that her relatives were here. I don't want them to think that I was having sex with their ward. I sighed. I don't know how long they will be staying but I welcomed them.

"What are you thinking?" Ella asked me as she was sitting on her elbow. Her naked chest was showing to me and her blonde hair was creating halo on her head as the dim lights were coming from the moon.

"Nothing,"

"I don't trust it. When you said nothing, it usually has something. So tell me," she said as she was kissing my naked chest. "What's bothering you?" I sighed.

"It's…nothing really. I just want to make a good expression on your relatives and I think I blew that opportunity up," I said as I was playing with her bareback. She chuckled before her face was directly in front of me.

"No, you're not. I think they like you," Ella said as she smiled.

"They do,"

"Of course, it was a little unconventional but I think my uncle and aunt love you now," Ella said as she was straddling me. She was smirking as I was narrowing my eyes at her.

"What are you doing?" I asked her as she was playing with my bare chest as her hands were sending shivers to my body.

"Showing you how much I love you. I feel neglected somehow,"

"Your guardians in the house!" I said horribly before Ella rolled her eyes at me.

"I think they were quite busy themselves," she said before we get busy ourselves as well.
