Chapter 104:Epilogue: The Interview

Ella Lattone's POV

My relatives were now safe and sound on their way home after a week of spending time with us. I got to spend some time with my cousin, Theo and I think he will be a charmer like his father with his mother's skill.

But that for another story.

Right now, I was waiting for the interview for the fiancée status of my marriage to Cameron Hayes, my crush, and now my husband. I was waiting for him to get out of the room as it was his turn to be interview by the officer right now.

I was fidgeting as I was trying to calm my nerves right now. I wanted to know what they were talking about and before my thoughts wondered, even more, Cam was coming out of the room. I was looking at him before I stood up and the officer was calling after me.

"Ms. Lattone?" He said as I was looking at the officer before I smiled at him.

"Wish me luck," I said as Cam kissed my nose.

"You don't need it," he whispered before I went inside the room with the officer to interview our legal relationship, not a fraud or something.

"Please, take your seat,"

"Thank you," I said as I was looking at the officer as I was sitting in front of the seat and I was nervous alright. I thought I was having a mental breakdown right now.

"So, I will want to know everything that you know about your partner. If the answer matched, then I will legally update your status here and if not…" the officer said before he smiled.

"Let's get on to it, shall we?" He asked as he clearing his throat before he was looking at the papers that he was holding.

"What is your husband's name?"

"Cameron Hayes,"

"Where he's from?"

"New York City. His parents are Sam and Mia Hayes. He has a sister named Sabrina and I have met his cousins named Dylan Windell and Maxwell Swift," I said as the officer was making some notes. He nodded.

"Which side of the bed that he likes to sleep on?"

"Left because he was a lefty," I said as he was making some more notes.

"What were his favorite hobbies?"

"Chess as I saw the pieces all over the library at our house. He also likes to read if I counted the big library that he has,"

"What is his favorite food?"

"Italian food,"

"What kind of toothpaste he used?" He asked as I was looking at me with his knowing eyes. I wondered if he was asking the same question to Cam. We don't share toothpaste but I might as well give him an elaboration of my answer.

"Well, Cam loves to use Crest which was making his teeth strong as he claimed. But I have been sticking to Colgate ever since I was a teenager. So we don't share toothpaste but I know that he would use Crest now and then." I said before I smiled as the officer nodded at me.

"Very good, now for the last question. What was his family business?" He asked as I was blinking at him.

"Sorry what?"

"His family business. I guess you marry him for his money?" He asked as he closed the notes and he was looking expectedly at me. I blinked a few moments before I scoffed at him. I took a deep breath and I was looking at him.

"If you think that I was marrying some kind of businessman billionaire, I think you have gone mad. All I know of Cam is that he was editor-in-chief at WWF magazine in Seattle. That's how I met him and I have been knowing him for the last 3 years. I don't think that knowing his family business was any of my business but if you want to know, I only know him as Cameron Hayes, my boss at WWF magazine and now my husband," I said as I was looking at him. He stared at me for a moment before he smiled.

"Thank you for your time. You may go now. We will contact you if you're passing and have an official letter for your updated status," he said as I took my leave from the office and I went to Cam. He stood up when he saw me as I was smiling at him.

"How did it go?"

"It was okay but I was a bit confused why he wanted to know if I know about any of your family business,"

"What did you tell him?" Cam asked as we were making our way out of the building toward the car. He opened my door as I slid inside before Cam closed the door and went to his side. I was looking at him as I smiling before he started the ignition and we were out of the parking lot.

I don't think I wanted to be here anymore.

"So, what do you tell them?" Cam asked me again as I was sighing over it.

"I told him that it was not any of my business to know about your family business. I mean, why would he want to know if I was marrying your money? I only know as my boss and it will not change the fact that I fall in love with you from the very first day," I said as I was looking at him. Cam turned to look at me for a while as he was smirking. Then I just registered what I just said. I blushed.

"How can I when I just know that you have loved me from the first time that you saw me at WWF," he said as he chuckled. I smiled.

"And I don't regret any of it," I said before he turned into the private road and I was smiling as I was seeing the familiar mansion that I called my home from now on.

"Well, it was a good day and since I will not be doing some research, I might think I will go back to my family business," Cameron said as I turned to look at him when he helped me to get out of the car.

"And what is that?" I asked before he turned to look at me like I was growing horns on my head.

"You seriously don't know?" He asked as I was shaking my head.

"We're exported wine to all over the world. It was a very exquisite business and I tell you, it was hard to get by. That's why I choose to do editing and science. Not that I don't trust myself but I think I have my sister for that," he said before I was slapping his chest playfully. He chuckled.

"But maybe I will be staying in school for a while since my wife will be there. I might spend some time with her on campus as much as I can," he whispered as we were walking into the house. Reese greeted us as he bowed at us.

"Welcome home, Master, Mistress. The guests are waiting for you in the drawing-room," Reese announced as I turned to look at Cam and he did the same.

"Guests? Who?" I asked before the door opened and I saw everyone that we know.

Alex, Lea, Barbara and her husband, even Cam's parents were here. I smiled as Cam was groaning.

"What are you guys doing here?" He asked as we were walking into the drawing-room.

"We wanted to celebrate your wedding even though there was no wedding reception but no matter, we understand that," Barb's husband said and I think they might know these guys. I heard that Cam has 3 best friends and I don't think that my best friends would be married to them.

What a small world!

I was looking around as I was seeing only Lea and Barb here. Where's Daisy?

"Hey guys," I asked as I was taking a seat at the sofa while Lea and Barb were talking as mum was going to the kitchen to oversee the lunch in the making.

"Hey, girl. I see that you are glowing," Barb replied as she smirked before I scowled at her.

"And you as well," I said as I was commenting.

"What's up?" Lea asked as I was sipping on the orange juice. Since mum, Mia insisted I call her mum, was here to supervise us, there will be no alcohol for now.

"Where's Daisy? I thought she would come here," I said as Lea and Barb exchanged a glance.

"You don't know?"

"Know what?" I asked them as I was confused with them. Barb rolled her eyes.

"She's gone back to Midwest. She has exchanged her university to be closer to home. But I think it will be for 3 months only. She has to do some research there," she said as she was sipping on her juice.

"And with that lab partner that she hated so much, Dylan Windell," Lea said as she was putting her glass down. I shot my eyebrows.

"You know him too?'' Lea rolled her eyes before Barb snickered.

"Yes, they have been fighting like cats and dogs ever since they met. I wonder if Daisy would finally fall for that guy, that would be most hilarious," Barb said as I was sipping on my juice. If I think about it, that would be possible as well.
