Chapter 21:Soul Equipment

Lin Ke was rather worried about Dra. He was not worried if an accident would happen to her as she was a Dark-gold Grade female Hero with a Disaster Rating, so her strength was terrifying even though she was only at Level 1.

He was actually worried that she might consume so much energy that she would not be able to cooperate with Avina and the others after.

Nevertheless, since she was a Red Dragon, a small matter as such was probably not worth mentioning to her at all.

That being said, he would still ask Dra later. If she did not have sufficient energy, she could rest at the Dormitory before leaving to destroy the Werewolf den.

Dra only returned to the tower at noon.

When she returned, she carried a deer's carcass that was already handled, so it could be roasted right away.

"Dra, you're finally back."

Lin Ke ignored the food brought by her. Although he was somewhat hungry, the Werewolves were the greatest priority now as they were a threat, thus he explained Avina's inspection and his deduction to Dra in detail.

Subsequently, Dra reported that the army of Beastmen had already set out to another direction and followed them at a distance to ensure that they left.

"If that's the case, let's settle the Werewolf den as soon as possible."

Dra was fine with the plan though she had just investigated the Beastmen's camp because she was a Red Dragon. While she had taken a human form, she maintained some characteristics of the dragon species.

As such, she only needed little sleep to recover if she were to work for half a month, let alone one night.

Avina was worse in comparison. Being an elf, her physical strength was way above Lin Ke's, but she was not on par with Dra at all.

Therefore, she needed as much rest as she could get to replenish the energy and physical strength consumed.

Lin Ke pondered as he looked at the deer that was brought back by Dra, then asked her to turn its meat into jerky.

The wonderful method sounded unbelievable to him at first, and he found it more incredible when he witnessed the process.

When Dra rubbed a slice of deer meat that was cut, blazing flames appeared, and jerky was made in the blink of an eye.

Lin Ke placed the hot jerky in his mouth, then began chewing it as hard as he could - yes, this was the tough jerky he remembered, which was unchewable.

'It's not a small technique at all!'

Lin Ke looked at the perfectly roasted jerky in his hand, which was topped with some crushed pulp - it was from the seasoned fruits that Dra plucked in the wilderness.

When he took a bite, there was a refreshing texture accompanied by a sour and salty taste, and he was so touched from eating the delicious food that he almost cried.

He took a deep breath after eating the jerky, then rejected Dra when she offered him another piece.

"Dra, I have an equipment set here, and I believe that it'll assist you when you destroy the Werewolf den. I'll help you put them on." Lin Ke later retrieved the Equipment that he prepared.

"No, My Lord." Dra shook her head. "If the three of us join hands, I suggest that you give the Equipment to Lucy. She's the weakest among us, so she'll be easily in danger if we're attacked."

"But I think that you need the Equipment since you're the only one attacking at close range."

Lin Ke scratched his head. "Or should I give them to Lucy?"

"Yes, give them to Lucy. For me, the Werewolves are nothing to be feared since I have Avina and Lucy's help, as well as my Dragon King Shield. Besides, I have this!" Dra smiled brightly.

She reached her hand out and the Red Lotus Longsword instantly appeared in her hand. The blade was seen burning in scorching fire. "With this, how can the Werewolves resist my attacks?"

Lin Ke was slightly frustrated when he looked at Dra's longsword because he did not notice the Legendary Grade weapon earlier.

Nonetheless, the longsword disappeared as soon as Dra waved her hand. Lin Ke quickly asked, "Dra, where did the longsword go? Is that your special ability?"

"This weapon?" The longsword appeared in Dra's hand again when she reached her hand out. "It's not my ability. This is a Soul Equipment."

Dra was surprised when Lin Ke asked her.

"Soul Equipment?"

Lin Ke found it strange. 'Isn't this the Legendary Grade longsword that's included in the starter pack? Why did it become a Soul Equipment? Is this a Special Equipment?'

He opened the Equipment Panel to find out about the Equipment, then opened Dra's interface to equip her with the equipment set that he prepared. He wanted to see the Upgrade margin she would gain.

It was then when he noticed the Legendary Grade longsword in Dra's Weapon Panel.

"Oh right, I saw her holding the weapon the last time I opened her Character Attribute Interface."

Lin Ke recalled what happened the day before. "Was she already equipped with it then? I don't think her Equipment Panel was activated yet. Was I able to see her weapon's Attributes through observing the Equipment on her character image? - Even if the Attributes are garbled.'

Following that, he equipped himself with the equipment set and could see the Equipment on his character image shown on his Character Attribute Interface, but they could not be seen in reality.

When he focused on them, their Attributes appeared but were still garbled.

"I can actually see the Equipment's Attributes here, and I only need to enter the Equipment Panel if I want to upgrade them or carry out other options."

Lin Ke nodded as he figured it out, but it was simply a setting issue.

The moment he focused on the weapon in his hand, he noticed that the weapon shown on his character image faded a little, and he somehow felt like there was something in his right hand.

He was utterly shocked, so he quickly focused again and the weapon on his character image suddenly disappeared. On the other hand, he felt something heavy on his hand as a familiar longsword appeared.

Finally, he lifted the illusory weapon that could not be used before, and it was so real that it was the same as a real steel weapon.

Even when he diverted his attention somewhere else, the longsword did not vanish as it did before.

"This is a Soul Weapon," Beside him, Dra explained calmly, "It's normally hidden in our soul, and will only appear when we need it.

"It won't be damaged even as time passes, because as long as one's soul remains, the weapon remains."

When Lin Ke waved the sword, he did not lose energy at all, and the upgraded Attributes from his 6 Equipment did not change.

At the same time, his chest piece, shoulder guards, gloves… The pieces of Equipment appeared on his body as he squinted his eyes, which gave him exceptional defensive abilities.

They were probably known as "Soul Equipment".
