Chapter 22:New Facilities

The pieces of Equipment created by the Game's System were tough, and Dra regarded them to be much tougher than normal steel protective gear.

On the other hand, Lin Ke felt that the most important thing was the armor seemed to be weightless because he did not feel any pressure from it as though it was cotton.

"A Soul Equipment's protection toward one's flesh is actually secondary because it can protect one's soul, which is the key." Dra sighed as he looked at the equipment set on Lin Ke's body. "I wonder how many people from the continent I came from fought to their death in order to acquire one."

Over here, Lin Ke could buy 2 pieces of Equipment a day, and if his Dormitory Grade increased during the later phase, he would have so many Silver to buy a lot more pieces of Soul Equipment.

"So it's best not to show your Soul Equipment. Although I'm not sure what the others in this world think of it, it's definitely not something that can be easily attained." Lin Ke nodded when he heard Dra's words. After all, those who fought all year round were definitely more experienced than him.

He removed the equipment set from his body so that Lucy could put them on, then began discussing with Dra while enduring the weakness that he was feeling.

"You need to bring a few Elemental Guards this time to test their combat powers against the Werewolves." Lin Ke was persistent about testing the Elemental Guards' abilities through a test.

The guards did not have to be too powerful, so long as they could go 1v1 against a Werewolf.

After all, the recruitment requirement was not too high, by which a guard could be recruited using 5 Elemental Cores.

The Werewolves were rather powerful. Based on the previously gathered data about them, he found that they were much stronger than the special forces from his original world.

Nonetheless, Lin Ke was not optimistic about the Werewolves' ability to fight and kill, because he regarded them as dumb beings that only relied on their strength.

"I understand. I'll bring a few Elemental Guards when I go over with Avina and Lucy later."

Dra nodded to express that she understood.

Afterward, Lin Ke opened the Market to look at Resources. A small resource pack with 100 Elemental Cores cost 10 Diamonds, and he would instantly have 20 more Elemental Guards if he bought it.

"Damn it, the more I think about it, the angrier I am. I should've topped up more Silver." He was extremely annoyed because he could have gotten 1,000 Elemental Guards if he was rich, and he would not need to be afraid of those Werewolves!

Even though Dra did not need to rest, Lin Ke forced her to rest for 2 hours at the Dormitory. After that, she set out with Avina and Lucy to the nearest Werewolf den.

Of course, they brought 10 Elemental Guards along to give them a practical test on their combat ability.

Lin Ke stayed at the Elemental Tower by himself. While he was not exactly afraid, he was worried that a Werewolf might attack the tower all of a sudden. Therefore, he returned to the Summoning Hall, where he consumed all his Elemental Cores to summon over 10 Elemental Guards to replace the ones that followed Dra and the others.

Only then he was at ease.

He leaned against an ice-cold stone wall in a corner of the tower and paid close attention to the Game's System.

The Elemental Tower had advanced to Level 2, so he could gain 100 EXP Points a day, which was extremely good.

That being said, more facilities needed to be built if he wanted to get to Level 3.

For instance, Level 2 Dormitories, and Level 2 Elemental Ponds. Additionally, he had to build at least two of each.

A Level 2 Elemental Tower also resulted in 10 new building units, and its height was double of what it was. As such, a new staircase was there for him to get to the second floor.

On the second floor, he noticed that the interior was very similar to the first floor, and there were ten rooms for him to build new facilities.

In addition, if Lin Ke was willing to spend some Silver and Resources to switch rooms, he could switch rooms between the first and second floors according to his liking.

Nevertheless, he was not going to do that as he was short of them.

There were a few new facilities for a Level 2 Elemental Tower.

Lin Ke was somewhat regretful when he did not see an Arena which he desperately needed, but he was still drawn to the other facilities.

One of them was a Trading Hall that did not require many Resources. Though he was not sure about the items that could be bought, he believed that he could get useful items from the hall.

Since the Resources required for the facility were roughly the same as what was needed for a Dormitory, he decided to build it.

Moreover, it was one of the necessary facilities to be built for the Elemental Tower to level up to Level 3.

Apart from the Trading Hall, he also built a Dungeon and a Library.

Lin Ke had a heartache as the Resources required for the Library was extremely high, but he had to build it as it was also a condition for the Elemental Tower to advance to Level 3.

However, he could build it afterward.

Other than that, there were 4 new creations due to the Level 2 Elemental Tower and the Summoning Hall.

They were the Earth Elemental Military Camp, the Water Elemental Military Camp, the Fire Elemental Military Camp, and the Air Elemental Military Camp.

The Military Camps were annexes of the Summoning Hall and were facilities meant for the Elemental Guards to progress to new levels.

Lin Ke was uncertain about how the guards could progress in specific, and he could only find out after building them.

For all that, it was impossible for him to do that now as each facility cost a bomb. They required 2,000 Silver, as well as plenty of Resources and Special Resources, which were supplies that he lacked the most at the moment.

Nonetheless, he roughly guessed the abilities that would be gained by the Elemental Guards through the facilities according to the facility names.

The Earth Elemental was likely for Meat Shield, either the Air Elemental or the Fire Elemental was for Long-range, and the Water Elemental could be for Healing or DPS.

In any case, the leveled-up Elemental Guards would definitely be more powerful than the ones that did not.

After all, many Resources would be spent on those facilities, so it only made sense that they would become powerful.

Although there were a number of new facilities that could be built, Lin Ke planned to only build the Trading Hall, and he could only build it tomorrow when he had the money to.

Ever since Dra and the others left, he had been using his Unique Sight from time to time to observe his surroundings.

He did it due to a few reasons, but mainly because he hoped that Dra and the others could return safely, and he wanted to be the first to see them.

His thought was only realized at night.

When Lin Ke saw them supporting each other by the arm, and that none of the 10 Elemental Guards returned with them, he knew…

They were in huge trouble.
