Chapter 31：Unbearable Pain

Two streams of hot Qi on his shoulders penetrated through his skin like two caterpillars, then spread to the other parts of his body through the gaps between his muscles.

Different from the ones that entered his bones earlier due to the slaps, the hot Qi now was like hot water that relieved the piercing pain and the swelling.

Lin Ke could not help but sigh, because he felt relaxed after the obstructions in his Qi circulation were gone.

The hands that were initially on his shoulders began moving down slowly, and hot Qi continued gushing out of those hands into his body.

Wave after wave of heat was felt, but was quickly replaced by a cooling and refreshing feeling as though the heat was absorbed by Dra's hands when she brushed them against Lin Ke's skin.

As Dra moved her hands down Lin Ke's body slowly, Lin Ke had a strange look on his face, because her hands were very close to his lower body.

Fortunately, she stopped below his abdomen. He kept distracting himself with other thoughts to not think about prohibited images.

Dra placed her palms on Lin Ke's belly button, causing more hot Qi to flow into his stomach.

While Lin Ke was still distracting himself, Dra suddenly wrapped her arms around him, and by the time he realized what happened, she was already hugging him tightly.

However, instead of a soft body which was what he expected, he felt as if a burning stove was stuck to him.

Blazing flames that burned his back eventually burned his heart as well, and the pain that he originally felt was replaced by a burning pain.

The substantial amount of hot Qi that gushed out from Dra's body was the culprit.

Lin Ke was enveloped by the hot Qi that entered his body and into his muscles from all directions.

Instead of being washed by hot water, he felt like he was thrown into a fire!

Lin Ke shrieked in pain, and his body struggled subconsciously due to the immense pain. At one point, he almost got free because Dra could not wrap her arms around him anymore.

Upon seeing that, Dra wanted to clamp him down, but she quickly understood why he reacted like that. After a moment of hesitation, she transformed her red armor into scales that fell off her body.

It was because her armor caused discomfort, and could injure Lin Ke seriously.

Following that, Dra hugged Lin Ke tightly again, and locked her long legs around his waist. She pinned him to a spot such that he could not get free no matter how he struggled.

The pain was drowning Lin Ke's thoughts gradually, but after an unknown period of time, he somehow did not feel it anymore.

Lin Ke could not tell if he was numbed by the pain, but for some reason, his tensed body loosened, and his mind was blank as if his consciousness was detached.

At that moment, he could see with his naked eyes that his injuries were healing fast, and the swelling was recovering slowly.

After a long time, Dra was completely exhausted. She got up from Lin Ke's body, then sighed after she managed to stand still.

Her skin that was as smooth as ivory was covered in dirty blood, which was disgusting because it solidified into big pieces of blood shells.

It was Lin Ke's blood that was discharged from his body, and it covered Dra's body when he struggled earlier.

Dra stood on the floor barefooted, then looked around her before she hummed a strange syllable. Subsequently, flames rose from her feet, which blanketed her body and burned the dirt.

Afterward, the flames gathered to form a bright red armor that was similar to the one she wore before.

Once the process was done, she glanced at Lin Ke who was sound asleep.

His body was also covered in dirty blood, and the blood shells were so dark that he seemed to be wearing black armor.

Dra approached him carefully. She took the wooden bowl that was beside her, then reached her hand out to fetch clean water, and dipped her fingers into the water to rub Lin Ke's body with it.

Bloody water began dripping from Lin Ke's body, causing the clean wooden bed to be dyed red.

Dra threw away the blood shells that were removed, and scrubbed his body so diligently that the shells were gone in the blink of an eye. On the other hand, there was a small pile of black blood shells beside her leg.

When Lin Ke's body was finally clean, she carried him to another Dormitory.

The moment they left the Dormitory, the wood that was dyed red faded slowly until it returned to its initial state.

By the time Lin Ke awoke, it was already very late at night.

Since the pain was completely gone, his body was full of energy, and he was extremely relaxed.

The moon in the sky was covered by dark clouds, and only a few stars could be seen.

Even by using Tower Sight, Lin Ke could only check their surroundings roughly as it was pitch black outside.

When he opened the Silver Market and took a look at the time, he estimated that it was around 3:30 in the morning at that moment.

"I was probably unconscious for over ten hours." Lin Ke vaguely remembered what happened before and after he slept, but he wished that he actually forgot about the painful event.

It would be great if he was already unconscious then.

Lin Ke noticed that he had his shirt on, and he figured that it was Dra who helped him.

Though the experience was torturous, it somewhat worked.

When he touched his chest with his fingers, he noticed that the feeling was different.

His body became tougher, and his muscles were firmer.

Lin Ke was uncertain if it was his illusion, or if his brain was lying to him due to the extreme pain that he suffered.

He poked his body hard, and confirmed that it was indeed different from before, but he was unsure of what exactly changed.

Since it was too late, he could not wake Dra up to ask her about his condition.

"Sh*t, I wasted the chance for another round of Advanced Development!"

Lin Ke suddenly remembered that the Advanced Developments that he previously arranged only lasted for 12 hours, and they were already completed.

"Damn it, damn it!"

Lin Ke muttered, then went to the Library. He wanted to put Dra and Avina through Advanced Developments as soon as possible, so that they could level up again.

However, when he arrived at the Library, he realized that he could not let Dra and Avina undergo Advanced Developments anymore.

Moreover, their EXP Bar was locked at 100% of Level 9 - they were probably at Level 10, but the System displayed their Level in this form.

"Upgrade is only available by ranking up!" When Lin Ke attempted to continue their Advanced Developments, a System prompt appeared.

"Ranking up? Is that a new function?' Lin Ke pondered.

While he tried to figure it out, he placed Lucy's avatar into one of the Advanced Development slots, then set a 12-hours development for her.

Since Dra and Avina could not be upgraded anymore, it was best that he let Lucy level up too.

When Lin Ke looked up again, a shadow suddenly appeared beside him.

He was instantly terrified, but sighed a breath of relief after realizing that it was Dra - he was mainly worried that an enemy had snuck in, but the moment he realized that nothing in the tower could hide from him, he relaxed.

That being said, he was frightened again when he heard what Dra said. "My Lord, it looks like your body has fully recovered. Would you like to try the fifth round of training?"
