Chapter 32：What About The Server Opening Event?

Honestly, after experiencing the Tough Shield Warrior's training once, Lin Ke became extremely afraid of it.

Nonetheless, he was also rather moved because the immense pain caused his memory to subconsciously block the pain out.

"It's not a big deal. It'll hurt for a while, but I won't die."

That was what Lin Ke told himself, but he could not decide if he should accept Dra's offer.

When he flexed his muscles, his seemingly energetic body gave him the illusion that the pain that made him miserable was already far gone.

"Alright, let me consider, and I'll give you an answer soon."

Lin Ke was going to accept the offer, but the lingering fear he had quickly made him change his mind.

Dra nodded and left, because she was sure that Lin Ke would agree to train. After all, it was a self-protection ability, and a Defense Ability that should not be underestimated. It allowed one to resist an enemy's attack within a certain range.

Lin Ke was frightened, and he felt beads of sweat on his forehead.

Afterward, he opened his interface. Although he knew that he was probably already at Level 4, he wanted to verify it.

The words "Level 4" that appeared were pleasing to the eye, and he noticed that he only needed 350 EXP Points to enter Level 5, so he was sure that he would achieve that tomorrow.

With the current facilities, Lin Ke was able to gain 450 EXP Points a day.

It seemed a lot at the moment, but these Points would simply be a drop in the bucket during the later phase. After all, this could not be compared to a real game that would allow him to level up to Level 15 in half an hour.

Nevertheless, he would still level up slowly in the future.

Lin Ke dared not imagine how many days and how many facilities he would need to build to achieve the target if he arrived at the stage where a hundred thousand or a million EXP Points were required to gain one level.

He decided to forget about the scary future for now.

Just as he was going to close his interface, he noticed a small virtual icon in his Attribute Panel.

Lin Ke could guarantee that it was his first time seeing the icon, and he immediately focused on it out of curiosity.

The icon was rather unreal, and it seemed to be comprised of particles. At the bottom of the icon, particles were seen leaving it slowly, which made it look even more illusory.

It was an image of a shield, and Lin Ke began to realize its meaning after paying close attention to it.

"Tough Shield Protection: Damage received from attacks currently reduced by 10%, every debuff reduced by…"

There was only a short phrase, and the end of it was garbled-up, but Lin Ke figured that the garbled-up part was probably the specific number. It was likely going to show "every debuff reduced by xxx", but the part was erased.

"Tough Shield Protection, is this a Tough Shield Warrior's ability?" Lin Ke began wondering when he looked at the unreal icon.

Dra mentioned that a Tough Shield Warrior had to undergo training continuously for a period of time to consolidate its effects, or the lack of perseverance would only cause the effects to decline. If one were to only continue the training after a long time, one could not acquire a Tough Shield Warrior's ability.

Lin Ke supposed that the unreal icon was showing him that his Tough Shield Protection ability was slowly deteriorating. If he could not consolidate the ability before the icon disappeared, he would lose the ability completely.

'Does that mean that I wasted my time getting beaten up yesterday?'

"That won't do," Lin Ke mumbled. He was definitely not going to let it go to waste.

He would endure the pain by pretending that he was being tortured by an enemy.

At that moment, tens of Elemental Guards were patrolling inside the Elemental Tower. Lin Ke asked one of them to give him a full blow.

He remembered Dra mentioning that an Elemental Guard's combat power was similar to a Werewolf's, so he assumed that an attack from a guard should reflect the same impact.

An Elemental Guard with a shiny body charged at him, then launched a hit on Lin Ke's body, which sent him flying away.

"Mm, it hurts a little." Lin Ke did a somersault before he got up, and noticed that the spot on his chest that was hit by the Elemental Guard swelled. In fact, a blood clot could be seen beneath his skin.

He inhaled lightly, and was glad that he was fine.

After getting hurt, Lin Ke also realized that he lost his mind earlier.

However, Dra reported that there were only three Werewolf dens nearby, and while the further ones had not been discovered yet, at least it required more than a day's time to reach them.

As such, it was very likely the three nearby dens were split from the same den. If Lin Ke destroyed the remaining two dens, would he be able to fight for more time?

Dra and Avina were both at the 100% of Level 9, and their had Attributes improved by a huge margin. With that, it would be easier for them to take out one Werewolf den.

All of a sudden, Lin Ke remembered that he had something important to attend to.

The Altar's cooldown time was ending soon, which meant that he could perform two new summons.

If he was lucky enough to summon new Heroes, the fight would be much easier for them.

Besides, he was definitely going to advance to Level 5 tomorrow, so he wondered if anything special would happen.

Lin Ke did not believe that he had seen everything offered in the web game.

'What about New Server Rewards? What about the Server Opening Event? They should be available.'
