Chapter 33：A New Partner - Finally Here To Heal!

It was a brand new day, and everyone was safe.

The Werewolves did not appear, and even the Humans from two days ago did not show up. Inside the tower, Lin Ke underwent some simple martial arts training with Dra, and with the support of his powerful Attributes, he was able to perform actions that he could not accomplish before this.

Additionally, he also made 4 Upgrades to the facilities.

2 Level 1 Dormitories were upgraded to Level 2, and 2 Level 1 Elemental Ponds were upgraded to Level 2 too.

The upgrading of 4 facilities cost him 4,000 Silver, leaving him with more than 8,000 Silver.

Oh, he was probably only left with more than 7,000 Silver.

When Lin Ke refreshed the Trading Hall items, he purchased a few necessities.

Lin Ke was already sick of eating meat jerky and roast meat, so much so that he even refused to eat grilled fish.

Since he was from the south, he wanted to eat rice very badly, but would have handmade noodles if that was not possible. Therefore, he quickly bought flour from the Trading Hall when he saw it on the list, and bought 20-kilograms of it to make noodles for dinner.

Unfortunately, the hall did not sell tea leaves, or Lin Ke would have taken the opportunity to drink tea from the porcelain cup.

The Altar's room was already filled with people.

Dra and the others were there to see if a new sister would join them, whereas Lin Ke was there to pray for a powerful helper to face the Werewolves' attack.

The longer Lin Ke waited, the more worried he was about the Werewolves. The pressure before the storm made him anxious.

"It's starting."

Lin Ke took a deep breath, then began summoning at the Basic Altar first.

After a card was picked, Lin Ke noticed a purple radiance from it.

It was a card for Purple Grade!

"Nice job!" Lin Ke shouted, then continued praying.

Nevertheless, the moment he turned the card over, his heart sank.

It was a Soul Shard.

Lin Ke did not know if the number of Soul Shards was considered many or few, so he sighed.

Anyhow, it was not a complete Hero.

The Hero's Soul Shards were left on the Altar until the remaining shards were acquired.

Lin Ke shook his head in disappointment at the three female Heroes beside him.

"Don't worry, you have another chance."

Dra comforted him, "The High-level Altar is next, so you might get a Hero who's of the same Level as me."

Lin Ke laughed right away. One would have to be so lucky to acquire a Dark-gold Grade Hero, thus he dared not believe that he could do it.

That being said, it was possible to get a Gold Grade Hero. After all, he already had Avina, so he might be able to get another hero of the same grade.

While the others prayed hard, Lin Ke proceeded the summoning at the High-level Altar.

The rustling sound of paper was heard. Subsequently, a card appeared in front of Lin Ke, and it shone with purple radiance.

"Tsk." Lin Ke was instantly disappointed. Purple meant that the Hero only had 4 Stars, which was slightly better than Lucy, and he did not know how many Soul Shards there were.

When the card was flipped, he saw a beautiful image, and no number was indicated on it.

In other words, it was a complete Hero!

'Long live!'

Lin Ke cheered to himself, then quickly calmed down. He turned to smile brightly at the others who were looking at him eagerly. "Please welcome our new partner!

"Stardust's Child Kara!"

As Lin Ke introduced the new female Hero excitedly, a purple light beam appeared in the center of the altar, then a petite and beautiful lady who was holding a well-crafted magic staff bowed at him. "It's a pleasure to meet you, my Lord!"

Her position on the battlefield was irreplaceable, because those who faced her would either be killed by her, or… By her partners!

Lin Ke took a deep breath. Stardust's Child Kara was a Magic Profession, and he hoped that she was what their team needed the most at the moment.

It would be great news if her Magic DPS was high, or if she had the ability to heal.

While it would also be fine if she was another control-type character like Lucy, it would be better if she was one of the former.

Lin Ke looked at Kara anxiously, but before he said anything, Kara was already fixing his gaze on his… Chest.

When Kara swung her magic staff, shiny stardust appeared in front of Lin Ke, then entered his body.

Lin Ke then asked the others to prepare a feast to welcome their new partner.

Even though the feast's theme was noodles and meat jerky, nobody noticed it.

"I'm happy to have met all of you, and I hope that we'll serve our Lord well in the future," Stardust's Child Kara raised her bowl of noodles as she said to Dra and the others softly.

Lin Ke twitched his mouth when he looked at Kara, because she had a noodle on the corner of his mouth, and she did not notice it. It was rather awkward that she was even speaking elegantly to the others.

Dra and the others ignored the noodle, and nodded at her seriously. "That's right, that's our worth."

They then lifted their bowls together as though they were doing a ritual. "Cheers!"

Following that, they finished their soup noodles in one mouth. At that moment, Lin Ke felt like something in his heart exploded.

"You don't have to be so serious, do you?" Lin Ke did not know to cry or laugh. "It's just a bowl of soup noodles, a by-product that can be made by flour."

He could not bear to watch them when they treated the soup noodles as fine wine.

Dra shook her head seriously. "That's not the case. We're aware of the food's cost, but it was made by you, so it's more valuable than any fine wine."

They held onto the point that the soup noodles were made by Lin Ke.
