Chapter 34:The Werewolves Are Here!

Lin Ke had the most relaxed night.

Yeah right!

Once the feast ended, Lin Ke spent some time building a Dormitory and an Elemental Pond, which cost him 7,000 Silver as they were new facilities. Later, he realized that he did not have enough Silver when he wanted to upgrade 2 facilities to Level 2.

Afterward, Dra continued the Tough Shield Warrior's training with Lin Ke, and beat him up terribly.

Nevertheless, after four rounds of slapping, Lin Ke clearly felt that his endurance increased, because he could withstand the process better than he did yesterday.

That being said, he was still concerned when it was time for the fifth round, so he decided to not do it yet. He would consider it after stabilizing the effects of the first four rounds.

Though the damage from the slaps had reduced, Lin Ke found that the icon on his Attribute Interface became stable, and it became clearer after plenty of illusory particles filled it.

Lin Ke estimated that the ability would be completely set after three to four more training.

According to Dra, only those with top-notch aptitude could achieve that so quickly.

'Hmm, a Tough Shield Warrior's aptitude means a cannon fodder's aptitude,' Lin Ke thought to himself.

Although Stardust's Child Kara could heal him, Dra rejected her treatment. She mentioned that the energy from Qi was an important tool that must be used during a Tough Shield Warrior's training.

If Lin Ke received Kara's treatment, the training's effect might reduce, and his previous efforts would be wasted.

Therefore, Lin Ke accepted Dra's hug once again. He felt the intense burn right away, but was able to endure by gritting his teeth while screaming on the spot.

At the very least, he did not struggle as he did before.

Lin Ke collapsed to the ground when Dra let him go. This time, Kara could treat him.

A downpour of stardust surrounded him, causing the bruises and swells on his body to go away.

While breathing heavily, the injuries on his body were treated, but the pain still lingered in his nerves.

He would be fine in a while.

Lin Ke was extremely energetic at night since he slept a lot yesterday, but the others were exhausted, especially Stardust's Child Kara. She was quite weary as she had just arrived, thus she was first to rest in her Dormitory.

After asking the others to rest too, Lin Ke returned to his Dormitory, and began browsing the items in the Market.

He only wanted to take a look at them.

Eventually, it was past midnight.

Lin Ke instantly felt a hot stream inside his body that flowed to every corner, and he became more energized.

The feeling was very clear to him as it was his first time being upgraded while staying awake.

Lin Ke initially thought that he could level up to Level 5, but he obviously miscalculated the gains from his facilities.

He advanced to Level 6.

His facilities yielded a total of 600 EXP Points, which were mainly contributed by the Level 2 Dormitories and Elemental Ponds.

The 4 Level 2 Dormitories and 2 Level 2 Elemental Ponds gave 40 EXP Points each, which amounted to 240 EXP Points. Additionally, the newly built Level 1 Dormitory and Elemental Pond gave 40 EXP Points.

Lin Ke only needed 450 Points to enter Level 7 from Level 6. Since he already had 80 Points at Level 6, he could possibly advance to Level 8 tomorrow.

Apart from that, he gained a substantial amount of Silver.

4 Level 2 Dormitories and 1 Level 1 Dormitory generated nearly 20,000 Silver.

For gamers, the amount could simply be rewarded from a mission, but for Lin Ke, it was a bountiful earning.

The moment he saw the amount earned, he cheered so loudly that he attracted the Werewolves nearby - of course, it was just a metaphor, because the tower was soundproof.

Since the upgrade of the Elemental Tower to Level 3 was well within reach, Lin Ke began upgrading it without hesitation. After pondering for a while, he also decided to build another Elemental Pond as there was another slot.

This was because one of the conditions of upgrading the Elemental Tower from Level 2 to Level 3 was to have 2 Level 2 Dormitories and Elemental Ponds. It was possible that 4 Level 2 Elemental Ponds were required for the tower's next upgrade, and since they were beneficial, Lin Ke decided to just build them. Besides, he had plenty of Silver.

However, he realized that something was off when he looked at his other Resources.

He was only left with over 100 Wood and Stone.

The consumption for a Level 3 Elemental Tower was too frightening, because 5,000 Silver and many Resources were used.

If that was the case, Lin Ke might not be able to build new basic facilities, and could only upgrade them.

The Elemental Tower did not produce Wood and Stone, and they could only be traded with other Players.

They could also be purchased from the Market, where a small Wood Pack or Stone Pack with 1000 Resource each cost 10 Diamonds.

Lin Ke did not have many Diamonds, and the only 10 Diamonds he had were extremely precious to him. Even when he wanted to buy something badly, he would not use them.

Nonetheless, it did not mean that there was nothing he could do.

After all, he could actually exchange a Special Resource for a Wood or a Stone. Though the exchange would be heartbreaking, it could be used as a last resort.

Lin Ke was not that desperate yet.

He was satisfied when he looked at the Elemental Tower's interior.

The ways to obtain Wood and Stone had either disappeared or not appeared yet.

It was not strange at all. Since his Main Quest of killing monsters to level up was gone, it was not strange at all if facilities such as Logging Sheds were gone too.

Once the Level 3 Elemental Tower was done, he would decide on the new facilities to be built - facilities that did not require Resources, or required less Resources.

Needless to say, he looked forward to an Arena the most.

He hoped that the Level 3 Elemental Tower would give him the option of an Arena.

According to the Fortress Grade, it was possible.

Lin Ke dared not think that the Arena option would not be available.

Therefore, he went to sleep. 12 hours were needed to build a Level 3 Elemental Tower, but by the time he awoke, only half an hour passed.

Lin Ke yawned while he thought about the facilities again, then a deafening voice took him by surprise.

"Was that thunder?"

Lin Ke was not surprised, because the sky had been gloomy yesterday night, and the morning weather was not great, but he did not expect it to only rain at this hour.

Since it was the first rain he experienced in this world, and he was not very sleepy, he activated Tower Sight to look at the tower's surroundings.

It was pitch black outside, and the moon and the stars were covered by dark clouds. Without any source of light, Lin Ke could not get a clear view.

Tower Sight was equivalent to observing with the naked eye, and it could not scan like a radar.

After a while, Lin Ke decided to sleep.

Right then, it was bright outside, and the surroundings became clear to him.

It was the result of lightning that appeared for a brief moment.

Lin Ke broke out in a cold sweat.

He saw many, many Werewolves…

They were attacking!
