Chapter 35：Attack Them By Surprise!

Lin Ke was drenched in a cold sweat. He thought that it was probably an illusion that made him think that countless Werewolves were here.

However, when lightning struck again, the brief light outside verified his deduction.

Far away, on the grass, behind the trees, and beside the stones. The Werewolves were in order, and they were hiding very well.

The sky was pitch black, the moon was hidden, the thunder was ear-splitting, so the Werewolves struck!

"Are they really civilized wild beasts?" Although Lin Ke was mentally prepared that they were somewhat civilized, according to the intelligence from Dra and the others, he assumed that they were the least civilized beings.

'But how did they learn to utilize the stormy weather to hide around the tower, and schemed a plan in the dark to attack us unprepared?

'Those fellas seem to have learned the art of war, they're cruel and cunning. Since they already have the upper hand, are they making use of external conditions to increase their success rate?

'They must've realized that Dra is adept in using energy from flames, so they chose to attack on a rainy day.' Lin Ke believed that they would attack the moment the thunderstorm began.

He took a deep breath, and stopped using Tower Sight. The raging thunder depicted his mood perfectly at that moment.

"Damn those Werewolves, I'll kill all of them when I'm stronger. There won't be a single Werewolf left in this forest!"

The Werewolves were too dangerous, and Lin Ke was sure that they were guided by someone. They grew fungi in a humic farm, had well-ordered formations during battles, executed orders without fail, and knew how to utilize external conditions to hide. If he did not eradicate them completely, he could not live in peace in this world.

Hence, he quickly woke everyone up from their Dormitories.

"This is our current situation," Lin Ke briefed everyone about the situation, then mentioned, "I think they have reinforcements behind them too, so we must destroy the batch that's already here as fast as we can, or it'll be more difficult for us when the rest arrive."

He said to Dra, "Now is the time to increase everyone's strength. Come with me."

Following that, he brought them to the Smithing Hall, and purchased an equipment set for Stardust's Child Kara. "Your Level is the lowest, but there's no time for you to upgrade now, so I'll get you some Equipment to protect you. Try your best to survive, because if you can stay to heal, the others will be safer."

Lin Ke helped put the pieces of Equipment on Kara, then took a look at Lucy. She had advanced to Level 9, and her Attributes had improved significantly. Since she already had an equipment set , she was safe.

While Lin Ke had a few thousand Silver that could be used to purchase another equipment set, he would be left with nothing.

Therefore, after some consideration, he decided to buy a few potion bottles as they might be more beneficial, but he soon felt troubled as they were too costly.

The only thing he could do was to upgrade an equipment set to increase its Level, because it might give more Upgrade Attributes.

Once again, Lin Ke held back when he saw the Silver required to do so.

The Leveling of Equipment was cheap, especially for the first few Levels, but he could not afford to upgrade 6 pieces of Equipment to Level 10 as they cost 1,500 Silver each.

Furthermore, Lin Ke realized that the added Attributes after an Equipment was leveled up twice were not outstanding, resulting in a low price-performance ratio.

"Ah." He sighed helplessly. After discussing with Dra and the others, he finally decided to just purchase an equipment set.

The equipment set was given to Dra. Being a Meat Shield in the front, she needed the Upgrade the most as she would be attracting countless monsters.

Nevertheless, Dra had a legendary longsword that was given by Lin Ke, so she gave her extra weapon to Avina, but Avina was not too bothered when she received it.

After all, an extra weapon would not really increase the damage she could cause. It would be a good Upgrade only if she gained Equipment Attributes.

With over 2,000 Silver left, Lin Ke decided to purchase 3 more pieces of Equipment for Dra. A total of 4 Equipment would increase her Attributes notably.

Afterward, he purchased a shirt for himself with the remaining Silver. Even though it did not increase his Attributes much, a defense-type Attribute was increased, which was better than nothing.

"Let's go! We'll attack them by surprise," Lin Ke yelled.

Subsequently, hundreds of Elemental Guards charged from behind him. Most of the guards were summoned using all the Elemental Cores that he had, and some were the remaining guards from before.

When Lin Ke and his people were near the entrance, he received an unexpected message from Tower Sight.

Far away, the Werewolves seemed to have caused a riot.

Lin Ke did not know what was happening, but it was the perfect timing to attack. "Charge, let's kill the Werewolves!"

As soon as he ordered, the Elemental Guards swarmed out of the tower to attack the Werewolves.

The Werewolves were instantly stunned. A loud echo was heard in the silent forest at that moment.

By taking advantage of the chaos, Dra and Avina charge forward. They were like intense light beams that concentrated into light arrows, and they zoomed toward the chest of the Werewolves that were still at a daze.

Dra stepped on a Werewolf, then leaped into the air. A fleeting light ball appeared on her body, which was an effect of Lucy's Skill, Compassion. With that, the damage she would receive would be reduced.

On the other hand, Lucy and Kara left the tower slowly, and were surrounded by over thirty Elemental Guards. They protected the tower from the Werewolves that escaped.

Dra was at the forefront when countless Werewolves came out from their hiding as she laughed.

They knew that their enemies had already noticed them.

Since it was already pointless to hide, they decided to fight!

Later, Dra's Red Lotus Longsword burned in flames that lit up the area.

Lin Ke watched his partners from the tower through Tower Sight, and was worried about them.

The only thing they could do was pray. If he were to get involved in the fight, not only would he be of no help to them, but he would also be dragging them back.

After all, Lin Ke could not fight against an Elemental Guard, thus he would be dead upon facing numerous Werewolves.

Dra's longsword was unusually sharp and she was able to kill a Werewolf in one move. As she shuttled between her enemies quickly, over ten Werewolves were killed.

Nonetheless, she was far from Avina who was killing viciously on the other side.

The number of Werewolves that she had killed was more than ten times the amount Dra killed!
