"Feeling much better?" Le Fang Ling rubbed her back to allow her some time to calm down.
They were inside their room which was on the first floor of the ancient styled inn. The room was not that big but was more than enough for the two girls who could squeeze in the same bed.
"Yep, completely better." Nagina nodded but since she loved the feel of her hand on her back, she was enjoying it even after her dizziness was gone. The smell of the herb was too much for her sensitive nose.
"I think my metamorphosis is almost a perfection!"
Le Fang Ling had no reason to say otherwise. Even she was impressed with how realistic and near to perfect her transfiguration as a magical beast was.
"I am too good for my own sake." She put on airs as she shook her head while emitting a disdainful aura.
"Alright, stop that there." Le Fang Ling gave a tiny pat on her back and walked towards the window.
She pushed open the window.
The fresh and cool evening breeze rushed inside the room from the window brining along with it the sweet smell of grapes.
She looked at the densely populated market that was in full swing of the festive mood. People of all dress, colors, clan and races were mingled to form a crowd in the busy street.
Not only there were mortals, but a few Nobel clan people, few cultivators and magical beast were mixed in with the crowd.
Looking at the horned creature with the body of a human walking in the crowd and no one seemed to be minding his presence; she realized it was not that strange for people.
Now that the night was approaching, the city was even livelier than before with music playing all over the area. The strong aroma of liquor also seemed to be invading the air while the smell of roasted pies, meat and fishes almost made her salivate.
Everyone seemed to be having fun and a good good time.
Her sight shifted from the busy street to the far away mountain that stood alone and silent, unmoving and unyielding but lonely at the same time.
From the height she could see the lights flickering on the top of the mountain where the eternal blossom sect was located. It looked quite near but at the same time looked so far away.
"Homesick?" Nagina senses the melancholy in her eyes and asked as she approached her.
Since the space was quite narrow and congested, Le Fang Ling had to scoot over to make a place for Nagina.
"Nah, but well I was thinking about senior sister. Maybe we should have invited her with us." Le fang Ling shrugged. There were not many people there who could make her feel homesick apart from Elder Lin and An Cheng.
The introverted Elder from the library could count as one of them since he said he had something important to give to her.
"But she needs time to prepare for the tournament." Nagina reminded her that An Cheng had no time to be fooling around with them. They had planet of time in their hand but it was not the same case for An Cheng who was one of the main representatives of their sect in the annual tournament.
"But we can get something for her as gift," Nagina clapped her hand and suggested in excitement.
"We could buy a good luck charm for her." She caught hold of her hand and smiled.
"What do you think?" Her eyes sparkled with stars as she looked at Le Fang Ling. She seemed quite excited for this.
"Alright, we will do that when we go around the magical artifacts shop." She said with a smile while rubbing her head.
"Now!" Nagina insisted.
"What? Now?" Le fang Ling pointed at the darkening sky and asked once again just to make sure.
"Yes, now!" Nagina nodded while balling up her fist in a stubborn manner. Her lips slightly pouted as she puffed her cheek.
"Pretty please," she looked up at Le Fang Ling with pleading eyes. Her round and big eyes seemed to be staring right at her heart.
Looking at those eyes which were begging her, Le Fang Ling did not have the heart to say no to her.
"We won't be out for long, just a little bit hmm?" she leaned forward and made a promise with her.
…
"You can leave your cloak behind." She stopped her right when she was about to put it on and Nagina seemed more than happy to comply.
"I can enjoy the festival more this way." She giggled as she threw away her heavy black cloak that she had created in a hurry before entering the city.
"….."
Le Fang ling heard what she said loud and clear!
"Ahh!! Don't tell me you want to visit the night market and join in the festival?" she yelled after Nagina who was busy opening the door of their room.
"What? There is no such thing as that!" Nagina peeked through the door and grinned.
"It's called gathering data to feed myself, host!" She reminded her that she was not only a magical beast but a system as well!
Le Fang ling could only stare at her with a dead smile while feeling speechless.
'What you say totally doesn't match with what you look like.'
"Welp, it is what it is." Nagina curled up her lips in a smug smile.
….
"We will be out for a bit." Le Fang Ling handed the owner the key as she informed her.
"You can stay out as much as you want. I am chill about this matter." She glanced at Nagina and Le Fangling while chewing her herb.
'Hmm, a magical beast and a human! Interesting pair,' she thought after seeing Nagina without her cloak.
"You two are pretty ladies, be careful out there," she said as she placed the key inside the basket.
"We will do that," She smiled at her.
"Thank you." Le Fang Ling took the advice to her heart while holding on to Nagina's shoulder in a defensive manner.
"Have fun!" She waved at them.
Looking at their back, she unconsciously smiled gently.
"Such a cute young couple." She giggled thinking about how defensive the human girl was of the beast girl.
It had been a while since she had seen a young couple and at that an interbreed couple.
