Chapter 2: Fright

Desperately pulling her jacket down the entire way to try to hide her shame, she finally found the original owner’s dorm after a lot of trouble.

There was no one inside, helping Lin Siyi avoid quite a bit of trouble.

She didn’t have time to think about anything and turned over her drawers to find pads. Then, taking a set of clothes out from the original owner’s wardrobe, she ran into the bathroom.

After changing clothes, Lin Siyi took a look at the pants she had been previously wearing. The back was moist with a big splotch of blood. It was good that the pants were black, so the stain wasn’t very obvious, but it was still very embarrassing!

Especially since it was the female lead who pointed it out.

However…. When she thought back to the light breath of the female lead by her ear, even now it lingered by her ear. Her heart couldn’t help but tremble and subsequently, her body shook.

She harshly swatted her own head.

The female lead was actually so kindhearted that she would specially warn her enemy of something like this.

You had to understand that if the female lead hadn’t said anything, Lin Siyi likely would not have noticed and strolled around all over the place. Then it would have become a huge disgrace.

She hadn’t thought that the female lead not only didn’t hold grudges but also knew to secretly inform Lin Siyi to not let other people see her shamefulness.

It seemed that she was wrong. There was nothing bad with the female lead being kindhearted.

To think that she had turned away from it, that she had even given the book a bad rating!

Lin Siyi wished that she could transmigrate back right now and give the author a big, big hug. Thank you for writing such a kindhearted female lead who saved her from a huge trouble. She was truly the Goddess of Mercy reborn!

After touching her own face, she looked toward a mirror. A pair of beautiful and spirited big eyes were filled with joy. She searched about, finding the original owner’s makeup remover. Then, she slowly removed the makeup on her face while humming a song.

A delicate and cute baby face appeared in the mirror, delicate skin and a cute red mouth. She couldn’t help but open it and sillily laugh, showing a mischievous eye tooth.

Sure enough, she looked the same as before. It was too perfect.

Although she didn’t look very dominating, Lin Siyi was more unable to accept wearing another person’s face. That would let her feel extremely uncomfortable no matter how beautiful the face was.

Soon after, she walked onto the balcony, letting the bright and dazzling warm sun envelop her.

The weather had just turned pleasant, not too hot yet not too cold. It was very comfortable.

Actually she was also quite lucky. Other transmigrators would all be bound to a system. They had rules and had to fight it out with various leads and villains.

Yet she had very nicely met a holy mother female lead. As long as she didn’t excessively antagonize the female lead, she believed, since the female lead was an extremely kindhearted holy mother, the female lead would definitely cover her.

However, there was one thing. It was that she didn’t know who killed the original owner, making her very worried that she would suddenly meet her death at some point.

This feeling where she was out in the open but her enemy was hidden let her feel out of sorts.

Taking a look at the bed across from her, she now carefully took measure of the dorm environment.

This… this was a luxurious double room that she yearned for even in her dreams. When she thought of her crude and crowded eight person dorm in college, that was totally her nightmare.

As if she was injected with chicken blood*, Lin Siyi touched this and that around the room. She didn’t even notice the dorm door being opened.

“What are you doing!”

A crisp voice, somewhat ear-piercing, scared her so she directly fell to the ground, looking blankly at the girl before her who wore black framed glasses and had her hair tied up in a ponytail.

This was probably her roommate.

Patting off the dust on her butt, just as she prepared to get up, the other suddenly widened her eyes and ran up to Lin Siyi, grabbing her clothes, with a face of surprise.

Lin Siyi immediately jumped to the side. “What are you doing?”

“What am I doing!? Last time when I asked you, you said you weren’t the one who took them!” Chen Xing had some anger. “I’m asking you, where did the T-shirt you’re wearing come from!? Don’t say it’s a coincidence or something. I took a careful look just now. That shirt’s collar has a yellow stain. It was something I accidentally got dirty at the time and couldn’t wash off no matter how long I washed!”

Lin Siyi went stupid. She took a look at the large white T-shirt she was wearing and then took a look at Chen Xing’s chubby figure. Then she hesitantly pointed at the wardrobe before her.

“That… wasn’t that my wardrobe?”

Chen Xing saw the wardrobe she pointed at and got even angrier. “If it’s not yours is it mine!?”

Fuck, no way. Was the original owner so destitute that she stole her roommates clothes to wear?

Then she immediately got rid of that thought. Rather than talking about whether or not the original owner was poor or not, given her arrogance, she definitely would not do something like steal another person’s clothes.

To say nothing of this situation…. Lin Siyi felt the T-shirt she was wearing and saw that it felt really cheap…..

When Lin Siyi’s actions fell upon Chen Xing’s eyes, they became seen as actions of being very unwilling to let go.

As if she had discovered a new continent, her eyes were filled with horror. She extended a finger toward the other. “Y-you-you…”

“Huh? I really have to apologize. This was my fault. I definitely accidentally took the wrong clothes. I’ll take them off for you… ah, don’t leave!”

Chen Xing only saw Lin Siyi move to take off her clothes and was so frightened she retreated a few steps. There was no way she was paying attention to what the other was saying.

Seeing the other walk towards her, she immediately ran away scared.

Lin Siyi was speechless, “…….”

Could someone tell her what sort of situation this was???

Lin Siyi took off the white T-shirt. Then she took out a considerably expensive looking blouse from her wardrobe.

“This is what the original owner would wear. Why would she steal clothes? It’s definitely just mistakenly taking the wrong ones.” She mumbled to herself.

The sky outside was getting dark. Lin Siyi rubbed her stomach and hopped to the fridge.

She gently caressed the fridge door. Then she opened it, looking at the layer that was labelled as the original owner’s. The many fine and exquisite desserts formlessly beckoned to her.

The feeling of having a fridge in the dorm was really too wonderful.

After eating and drinking to her satisfaction, Lin Siyi directly laid down in her bed. She took a look at the bed across from her and wondered why her roommate still hadn’t returned.

Thinking and thinking, she fell asleep.

Spring was clearly almost over. Why was the wind at night still oddly cold?

Lin Siyi fumbled for the blankets next to her. Then she suddenly opened her eyes, frightened so she directly fell off the bed.

“Mrrow!”  A grey kitten licked its claws.

Lin Siyi took a look at the balcony door. The outside wind blew and the curtains fluttered.

She couldn’t help but breathe out a sigh. It turned out that she had forgotten the balcony door, which let this cat come in.

Consequently, she borrowed the moonlight to look at the kitten before her. The kitten was tilting its head, diligently licking its claws. Its grey fur looked very soft.

She really couldn’t resist wanting to touch it. Of course, Lin Siyi didn’t resist, directly extending her hand to touch.

The grey kitten’s eyes stared at the extended hand, stopping its moments. Just as it gracefully took a step forward, Lin Siyi suddenly retracted her hand.

This was the sixth floor. There weren’t any trees outside either. How did this cat get in!?

“Meow!”

The docile and cute looking gray cat suddenly yelled. Its soft fur spiked up as if covered with electricity. The cat bared its fangs and pounced toward Lin Siyi.

Lin Siyi’s eyes widened, looking at the gray cat that had exposed its sharp claws. She got to her feet and wanted to run to the door.

Yet just as she turned, the gray cat’s figure appeared before her again like a ghost. It was even… having grown a pair of small wings, floating in midair, it was baring its teeth almost like… it was laughing??

Dang! She had actually forgotten that this was a fantasy world!!!

So wasn’t she trying to escape??

No!

“Help!”

Toward the gray cat that was pouncing toward her with exposed claws, Lin Siyi chose to yell for help without hesitation.

Then, one second passed. Two seconds passed. Three seconds passed……

Huh? Why didn’t anything hurt? Could it be that she had already died?

She felt a wet breath on her neck. Lin Siyi stealthily peeked open an eye and saw that the vicious gray cat was actually licking her neck.

Did… did it want to first slowly sample her and then bite and break her neck??

No, there was no way she could just die like this.

Lin Siyi, look at it properly. As long as you think of it as a normal cat, extend your hand to quickly grab the back of its neck, throw it out and close the door at the speed of light, it’ll be okay!

Lin Siyi desperately gave herself suggestions. Just as she decided to risk it, the dorm door was suddenly opened.

She saw clearly who came and immediately jumped up and ran over, shouting as if she had seen her savior.

“Xueqing, help me!! There’s a monster!!!!”

Nan Xueqing saw Lin Xiyi run over in a second, grab her waist, and hide behind her. Nan Xueqing’s body instantly went stiff.

Soon after, looking at the hands on her waist, her face went cold and she pried them off.

Lin Siyi, “???”

She doubtfully stuck out her head from behind Nan Xueqing. She just happened to meet the female lead’s tender eyes.

“What is it?” Her voice was so pleasant it let people become intoxicated.

Lin Siyi was somewhat absorbed in the other’s eyes, intoxicatedly pointing ahead. “There… there’s a cat. Huh, where’s the cat?”

Seeing it empty before her, Lin Siyi walked forward and carefully looked around, a little unconvinced. Then, she even took a look at the balcony.

Could it have already run away?

Seeing the female lead show a doubtful expression behind her, she embarrassedly laughed. Then, she silently closed the balcony door.

“Looks like it ran away. Just a moment ago, it was violently attacking me. Ah, I’m not talking about a normal cat. It was one that could fly and had lightning. It wasn’t a normal cat. Do… do you get it?”

Seeing the female lead nod her head, Lin Xiyi finally let out a breath of relief.

“That was a Cloud Cat. The A institute’s students raise quite a lot of them. I think it likely accidentally escaped over here.”

“So it was like that.” To think they were raising ‘mythological beasts.’ That was freaking scary.

“Yea.”

Nan Xueqing wanted to leave. Lin Siyi immediately called to her, “Hey, don’t leave! Sleep me with!”

Seeing the female lead show a strange expression, Lin Siyi knew that the other must have misunderstood.

“Don’t misunderstand. I don’t want to do some trick to deal with you. It’s just that, just now, that something cat really frightened me. You see my roommate isn’t here either. It would be better if you stayed and accompanied me?”

She was probing out.

After all, who knew when that lousy cat would come back. If the female lead was by her side, it would probably be safer.

“Okay.”
