Chapter 3: Night

Hearing that the female lead didn’t reject, Lin Siyi finally let out a breath of relief. At least tonight, she could sleep smoothly and steadily.

Soon after, she had some hesitation.

From what she saw before, the original owner and roommate didn’t seem to have a good relationship. If she let the female lead sleep on the roommate’s bed, tomorrow, there would definitely be a fight.

Thinking deeply, Lin Siyi went forward and directly pulled on the female lead’s hand as she headed toward the other bed.

The exquisite and smooth feeling let Lin Siyi unconsciously lower her head to look. This hand was too beautiful.

Nan Xueqing furrowed her brow and extracted her hand, voice downcast, “What are you doing?”

Lin Siyi heard her voice and raised her head. Her eyes just happened to land on the other’s lips, only now realizing that the female lead was actually taller than her by over half a head.

“I think if we didn’t tell the other person and slept on her bed, wouldn’t it not be good?”

Nan Xueqing’s eyes glittered. When had this person started caring about other people’s feelings?

“My bed is pretty big. Why don’t we share-”

Before she even finished speaking, Nan Xueqing interrupted. “No need. Chen Xing won’t mind me sleeping in her bed.”

It looked like the female lead and the original owner’s roommate’s relationship was better than she expected.

Lin Siyi looked at the female lead only to notice that she was in pajamas. It looked like after hearing Lin Siyi’s cry for help, she had immediately run over.

As expected, she was so kindhearted it made people speechless.

The night gradually deepened, moonlight hitting the bedside. The gray cat appeared out of nowhere before the door. It gracefully walked to her bedside, jumping up with one leap. Then, it curled up and rested its body.

Nan Xueqing touched its soft fur, letting the gray cat unable to resist cozily closing its eyes.

“Hm?”

She saw the gray cat suddenly get up, jump off the bed, and go toward Lin Siyi’s bed.

Nan Xueqing wrinkled her brows.

The gray cat stopped by Lin Siyi’s side and found a comfortable place where it stretched its body and closed its eyes to sleep.

Nan Xueqing’s eyes lingered on the other’s body for a while. Then she also closed her eyes.

In her dreams, Lin Siyi dreamt that she woke up from a dream and had returned to the real world. She hugged her pillow, happily rolling on the bed.

With a thump of a sound, she woke up.

“Shoot, ow!”

It was then that she realized that she had been thrown off the bed with her blanket. It was such a sad thing.

She huffed and puffed, once more crawling back onto her bed. She looked at the bed across from her, finding it unexpectedly empty.

She threw the blanket that she had wrapped around herself to the side and immediately ran over barefoot, extending a hand to touch the bed. “It’s still warm. Did she just leave?”

“What are you doing!?”

Chen Xing stood at the doorway with wide eyes. “What are you doing with my bed!!?”

Lin Siyi was afraid the other would misunderstand that she was doing something bad and swiftly explained, “Don’t misunderstand. I just-”

“You, don’t speak!” Chen Xing immediately interrupted her. Then she carefully walked forward, finger pointing at Lin Siyi. “Don’t move!”

“You-”

“Don’t speak!”

“……”

Lin Siyi looked on helplessly as the other opened a cabinet and took out the bag inside and then, as if hiding from a demonic plague, ran like the wind to escape from the dorm.

What was this girl thinking?

She blankly sat on her bed and searched through her memories. The original owner really hadn’t done anything outrageous to her roommate?

Although the memory she inherited wasn’t particularly perfectly precise down to every detail, there weren’t any problems with the general information.

Why was this roommate’s attitude toward the original owner so strange?

“How come you haven’t left yet?”

Lin Siyi raised her head, seeing the female lead neatly dressed at the doorway, and stared stupidly. “To go where?”

The other’s expression seemed to falter a bit, lips curving slightly. “To go to class.”

“Ah.”

At this moment, Lin Siyi finally noticed the book in the female lead’s hand. As if having recalled something, she immediately jumped out of bed.

Seeing the female lead about to leave, she hurriedly yelled out, “Don’t leave. Wait for me. I’ll be ready quickly. We should go together.”

Nan Xueqing’s footsteps to leave stopped. Looking at the busily packing Lin Siyi in the room, she was expressionless.
