Chapter 4: Friend

“Xueqing, you’re so good, so kindhearted. I can’t believe I used to be so blind to good and bad as to target you. I was really an idiot. I apologize for what I did before.”

Nan Xueqing looked at Lin Siyi who was following beside her and tying a ponytail while mumbling. Her eyes slightly drooped. “Why are you apologizing?”

“Huh?” Lin Siyi promptly caught up to the other. “It’s because I was mean to you before, always targeting you.”

Nan Xueqing suddenly stopped walking. Lin Siyi swiftly halted, barely avoiding bumping into her.

“I was asking why you thought of apologizing.”

Lin Siyi looked at the female lead’s eyes. They were still gentle and smiling, but indescribably let her feel a sliver of chilliness.

“Naturally….naturally it’s….”

Seeing her saying ‘naturally’ for a while without actually saying anything, Nan Xueqing turned and continued walking forward.

Lin Siyi couldn’t help but smack her muddled head and jog to catch up.

“It’s obviously because of yesterday’s incident in the guidance office. You actually chose to believe me.”

She saw Liang Jing extend a leg and kick at Zhang Hua. “Go back already. Standing over here are you trying to let other people know that Sis Lin’s bullying you?”

Zhang Hua clenched her fist, fingernails digging into her palm.

Lin Siyi’s brows were wrinkled the entire time since she had remembered this person.

Liang Jing, the original owner’s so-called best friend.
