Chapter 12: The Training

Anastasia Honchar's POV

I did not know where we were or was I being kidnapped again? unlikely. The only person that dared to do that was Marco and right now, he was driving the wheel as if he was about to break it into two. I felt like I need to lighten up his mood.

"hey," I said as I took his hand into mine. He did not mind nor he looked at me. He sighed before I gripped my hand. I don't mind it as electric sparks around me. I smiled at the contact.

"I'm sorry. I know what I did was a dick move but he was so impulsive and I cannot imagine what would happen to you if he keeps doing it," he said as he was looking at the road. I did not realize that Marco was doing it for my sake, the blackmailing. I smiled as he was trying to protect me. Something stirred in my heart.

"well, you know I don't need protection," he smirked at my comment, "but thank you," I said as I squeezed his hand. He did as well before he released it and went on to drive to our destination.

he punched a combination of codes before something opened. It was an abandoned warehouse but when we were inside, it was not.

I unbuckled my seatbelt before I went out of the car. I was looking around the room as I was taking in the weapons, the cars, the kitchen that was stocked with everything that you can think of. I was gaping all around when Marco got out of the car.

"pretty cool, right?" He asked me as he was crossing his arms. I looked at him before scoffing.

"This is not cool. This is extraordinary. Who the hell are you?" I asked him. He shrugged before motioned me to follow him. I did. He opened a door and it was a room full of mats to break our fall. I walked inside the room before I saw many ranges of daggers, guns, knives and other stuff that good, no great, the assassin will be prepared for. There was a punching bag at the back of the room.

"so, tonight, we might need to get started with something small. You have a good stance,"

"thank you," I interrupted him before he rolled his eyes at me.

"but, your punch was not good enough. Strong enough. We need to work on that," he said as he went to pull the punching bag to the center of the room.

"so, we might start with this tonight. To make your punch stronger and sharper," he said as he motioned me to come before him. I looked at my clothes.

"Yeah, just one problem. I can work in this," I said as I mentioned to my clothes. He smirked.

"well, you can always take it off, Princess. I'm not telling you not to," he smirked as he was eyeing me up and down. I rolled my eyes before I crossed my arms. Marco laughed.

"just kidding. I have a spare room for you to change and next time, I would love it if you bring your clothes," he said as he mentioned to go change. I scoffed at him before I went to the spare room and I saw a pair of shorts and a sports bra that was ready on the hanger. I groaned. Why does he have to prepare those?

"hey, Marco?" I asked him as I was opening the door ajar for a bit. He looked at me as he was preparing some tools to teach me later.

"yeah?" He asked me. I cleared my throat before I motioned him to come closer. He did.

"do you have anything else, other than the ones that you have right now in this room?" I asked him. He smiled with mischief in his eyes.

"well, I cannot say that you don't like them but no, I don't prepare anything so you have to wear that," he said before he went back to the tools. I grunted before I went inside the room and I looked at the clothes.

"well. If you asked me to wear it, why not, right? After all, you did prepare it for me," I said as I was smirking as a plan started to form inside my head. I changed and went out of the room. Marco was hanging the punch bag to my height.

"took you long enough—" was the last thing he spoke before he saw me. I was wearing those shorts and a sports bra that I don't think about anything else.

don't think about the cold air, you are wearing full clothes right now, I chanted inside my head as I crossed my arms at him. He looked at my chest before he gulped.

"so, can we start now?" I asked him as I was trying to hide my smirk. I cannot believe that I have this control over him. He stumbled back for a moment before he mentioned to me to wear protective gear.

"Why should I wear them? It is not like I was punching rock," I said as I was punching the sandbag. yup, definite rock.

"no, you're a beginner. Your bones are still fragile and I don't want you to be absent tomorrow for work," I glared at him as he was smirking at me.

"well, other people might think I exhausted you but you know I would love them to think that," I held my hand to stop him.

"Listen, I don't mind not wearing the gear and besides, in real life situation, we don't have that shit. So let's get started and be done with this," I said as I was taking my stance. Marco sighed but he went to coach me anyway.

"So, all you wanted to make sure is that your fist has to be firm so that when you made contact with your enemy, you will feel less of the pain from the contact," he said as I hold my fist up.

"no, no, you're holding it like a girl,"

"I am a girl. No, a woman, so doesn't argue with me about my gender." I snapped at him. He held his hands in surrender.

"point taken,"

"good, now what did you just said?" I asked him as I looked at him. He was pointing at me to steady my stand in every movement that will possible. I might not be facing one person but maybe more than five at ones.

"why is that important? How can I took one out if I have four left to worry about?" I asked him. He chuckled at my question. I glared murderously at him.

"well, as you can see, you don't have that chance as I did. I know you watched me when I fought those guys," I blushed, "but that does not mean I cannot make you be prepared like I am. I wanted only for the best for you, Anna," he said as he was walking toward me. I looked at him as he was stepping closer, much close for comfort but I don't care.

"I don't want you to get hurt and that is the only reason I have to train you alone," he whispered. I arched my eyebrow.

"the only reason?" I asked him. He chuckled lowly that made it is sound even more attractive.

"well, maybe more than that," he said as he looked at me. His eyes flickered to my lips as I was to him. I looked again in his eyes and there was this emotion in them. desire.

"so, tell me, what are you doing to me? Train me or try to seduce me?" I said as I was gulping as I can sense he was inching closer. He laughed before he pulled me by my waist.

"well, why don't we found out then?" He said as his body heat was sending signals for me to run away. I cannot let him near me. I don't want him but my body craved him. badly. When he was about to dip his head, I turned my face away.

"We need to focus, Marco," I whispered. I was still high on those endomorphic hormones as he was near me. I need to keep my focus clear. To learn close combat.

"This is a dagger, it was used to cut the prey without having anyone see it coming," he held out a small knife that was sharp before he threw at a target.

"and it was useful for target insight to catch them off guard," he said as he looked at me. I tried to keep my face stoic but could not help to smile at him.

"next, we have guns," he said.

"I know how it works," I said.

"really? Then show me," he said as he handed me a gun. I was used to holding two guns when I trained with the Femme Fatales but I guess I have to make sure that I can use it in one hand as well.

I was standing at the target before I straighten my hand and I was pointing at the target.

"no, it's not like that," Marco said before he went to put his hand on my waist and one on my hand that was holding the gun. I gulped as I can sense that my heartbeat fastened in my chest.

"then, how should I hold it?" I asked him as I looked at him. His face was so close that I can see flecks in his eyes. He smirked.

"like this," he said before he swung me around and he punched the gun, hitting the target with a perfect score before he scoots with me and hits the target on the ground. It was 10 ammo and he hit them all, perfectly.

"maybe you should shoot one," he said before I pulled the trigger. It hit the perfect score as well. I turned to look at him as his smirk was gone.

"I told you, I know how to shoot," I said as I put the gun down and we moved to the next tools and so forth.
