It didn't took Shin Jiao a lot of time to gather all the herbs. As he is already familiar with this side of the forest and the herbs that Nushia needed are not rare herbs. So within 2 hours he found them all.

But on his way he felt a very strong aura of a demon beast. Then a sudden bad premonition hits him. With all his might he ran as fast as he can towards the white tiger's location.

A few minutes later…

Shin Jiao can see a trail of a demon beast, and upon analyzing it he felt anxious.

"This is a crawling demon beast, and from the looks of it I think it's a huge snake."

His conjecture was right for as he ran forward, not long after the shadow of a 7 meter long snake looms not too far from Shin Jiao. The snake is so huge that its body is a thick as a large tree with a head as large as horse carriage. It has green and red scales covering its body which gleams like a polish jade. The snake slowly moves around as if trying to find something as it flicks it tongue in the air, anybody knows it's looking for a prey.

But then suddenly it jerked its head toward Shin Jiao's direction. Upon seeing the snake's eyes looking straight at him a sudden chill run down Shin Jiao's spine. The glowing jade like eyes of the snake felt like looking in the eyes of a death god ready to take his life anytime.

It took a while as both man and beast scrutinized each other. But then after a while as if finding an insignificant ant in front of it, the giant snake gave a sneering expression just like that of a human and then never paid any attention to Shin Jiao and move on.

This gave Shin Jiao a sigh of relief, on his forehead he wiped the cold sweat that was formed. He slowly turn on his goggles and gauge the level of the giant snake in front of it. Then he was stupefied by the aura surrounding the demon beast.

"This…this… this is a peak level 5 demon beast, it's a giant king snake."

The giant king snake slowly slithers in the direction where the white tiger is hiding. He clearly knows that the snake found traces of the battle from before. Shin Jiao just stood there in deep thought, then a plan appears in his mind.

"This is troublesome, but if I can pull it off, the rewards could be astronomical or… not."

Shin Jiao is clearly afraid as his hands are involuntarily shaking, but he suppressed his fears and decided to execute his plan.

Because of the direction the snake is going. He quickly move to a different location to ambush it. And with that he slowly took the BARRETT from his back and prepared to battle the snake.

"Let's see if my days of in this forest and equipment can compensate with the level advantage of this demon beast"

He decided to stealthily ambush the snake at long distance so, he leapt to the tree tops and increase the distance to a kilometer. Then a top a tree branch he adjusted the sight and tried to find a clear shot. Not long after that, the giant king snake arrived in his kill zone.

Shin Jiao was about to pull the trigger when the giant king snake suddenly turned around and vigilance can be seen in its eyes. With its instinct it felt a killing intent from somewhere, but because of the distance the giant king snake cannot find the source.

This almost stopped Shin Jiao heart and his finger froze from pulling the trigger, but after seeing that the creature cannot find him he is now confident that it cannot find him at this distance. So without any hesitation he took the shot.

A sudden silver light flashed silently in a speed faster than sound.

The giant king snake felt a slight stinging sensation on its neck as an iron fragment can be seen embedded on one of its scales. Although the scale stopped the penetration, but a tiny crack can be seen on its surface. The demon beast was not hurt but still got really pissed off because it didn't detect that sneak attack.Now its anger rose with a little frustration that it can't find the culprit that tried to hurt it.

Looking around and still finding none, it decided to use its spiritual sense. It was about to close its eyes and start spreading its sense. But it was disrupted and suddenly jerked its head to evade an incoming projectile.

At that time after finding that the first bullet is not effective and cannot penetrate the scales, Shin Jiao quickly decided to use the byproduct of the void stone, although it's the size of a pebble but still it's the hardest material he can use. He made four void stone byproduct projectiles out of it, they are designed to cover the tip of a projectile so they are hollow and thin. He used one and quickly combined it with his regular ammo.

"Let's see if this works."

He quickly reloaded his magazine which now has four void stone tip bullets. As he re-adjusted his sight he notice that the giant king snake slowly closed its eye.

"This is not good, it's going to use its spiritual sense."

Shin Jiao knows the power of spirit sense, though he can't use it, but his old memories has knowledge on how strong cultivators uses their spiritual sense to find people hundreds of kilometers away. If his conjecture was right and this is a level 5 giant king snake its spiritual sense range should be about 10 kilometers in radius. So without any more hesitation he fired once again.

Thought the snake moved to evade a fatal shot on its forehead, the bullet still penetrated its right eye, which is a really lucky shot for Shin Jiao. With that a painful loud howl pervaded the surroundings. Because of the pain the giant snake thrashed around and destroyed its surroundings.

From a thousand meters away Shin Jiao changed his location to a tree in a small hill, and just watched the giant snake with a smile.

"Though I used a very precious material if I can kill this level 5 demon beast I think it's worth it."

After a while the giant snake stopped rolling around and then with a really thick killing intent suddenly looked at the location where Shin Jiao is. And rush like a huge train slithering agilely toward him.

"Huh?! It found me!"

Shocked at the action of the giant king snake, Shin Jiao gritted his teeth decided to fire another shot to the approaching calamity.

But with a quick turn the bullet missed the snake by an inch.

"Shit. I need to escape"

Shin Jiao ran away as fast as he can. But as he leap toward another tree, a feeling of fear suddenly locked his body movements. Because of the force he exerted in that leap, the momentum coupled with him not able to control his body anymore, flung him like a rag doll with the speed of a cannon ball and he crashed toward the large tree in front of him. Because of the height from the fall and impact, he broke a couple of his ribs and bones. Coughing a mouth full of blood he slowly sat and lean on the tree for support.

Though his body is wounded with a couple of broken bones, he can still feel the fast regenerating effect and mending of his bones. This process is very painful and almost made him pass out. But he have no time to think about this things and even tried to dull out the pain, because not too far from this area he can feel a thick killing intent approaching.

The giant king snake moved as fast as it could, but because of its big size, it took it a while to move closer to its target. When it saw the human leap using its spiritual sense, the demon beast used its inherent skill to give fear to Shin Jiao and this cause it to stun him and lock his movements.
