Chapter 13

Because of the dangerous situation he is in, Shin Jiao is actually thinking of entering the mansion. But he still can't expose his trump card at this time. So he gritted his teeth and bade his time to heal himself.

"I really need to know how to find and make healing potions or herbs. Though my body can heal faster but still… Arrggh… Ahhhh!"

The regenerating ability of his body is due to the energy in his spheres the more sphere he has the faster his regeneration is, but the downside of it is the pain. The body can heal but the brain still receives the pain signal which almost overloaded his senses.

But as time goes by he cannot hold it anymore and decided to make a gamble. He suddenly disappear from where he sits.

Inside the mansion Shin Jiao's sorry figure can be seen twitching and growling in pain. But after sometime he finally quiet down. The wounds and broken bones that would usually take a week to a month to heal, took him just 8 hours to recover. Though the process was really painful, but because of his strong will he overcame it and didn't pass out. This perilous experience of Shin Jiao made him learn something. In those 8 hours of hellish struggle, he noticed the energy that helped his body regenerate faster. At first he actually just let his body regenerate by itself. But this time his injuries are far too serious so he tried to find a way to at least alleviate the pain but to no avail. But he instead saw the energy slowly healing his body.

He didn't know where it came from, but he is sure that it's from his dantian. And with curiosity he tried to control that energy. At first he cannot concentrate because of the pain, but as time went by gained the ability to slowly guide it to places where the damage was worst. By doing this he discovered that the more he concentrate the energy in an area the faster the wound will heal. Thus by guiding and blocking the energies, it only took him 8 hours to be fully healed.

"This is too amazing, I didn't know I can do this. I guess I should give my thanks to the giant king snake for this"

"I need to kill it though, or else the white tiger would be in danger. Sigh… Well, I already made my promise as a man I must keep it."

With a joking tone he said to himself with a sigh.

The giant king snake arrived to where Shin Jiao was and saw some blood traces on the ground and on the tree, but it cannot find the human. As if he just banished to somewhere.

'Does the human have an ability to teleport?' the giant king snake thought to itself. But then shook its giant head.

'I sensed that this human is just a mortal without any spiritual energy, so he doesn't have any skill like that. But then what was that weapon he used to hit me? It can even penetrate my eye.' Thinking of its flight and humiliation anger once again crept into its heart.

The snake looked around one more time then decided to use its spiritual sense but still found no one. Unable to contain its anger anymore it loudly roared and smashed the tree in half. Then it decided to search the surroundings for clues unable to give up.

Then from behind the giant snake a mocking voice disrupted it.

"You're looking for me?"

The giant king snake quickly turn its head around and found a youth with a bloody and torn clothes. The youth is smiling and on his face a mocking sneer can be seen.

"Tse… You can't even find me… Weak…"

This scene angered the giant snake king to the point of losing to its basic instinct, in its anger it rampages and howled suddenly attacking the small insect that's mocking it.

Shin Jiao provoked the giant snake king to prevent it from using its ability to instill fear. And it was a success. The snake lost its rationality and since it's a demon beast gave in to its natural instinct.

"Oh, shit here we go!"

Shin Jiao exclaimed as he quickly unsheathe his sword and prepare to fight the rushing demon beast.

The giant king snake opened its mouth and strikes with a blinding speed wanting to bite the small human in half. But all it bit was air, Shin Jiao used the boots ability to move and evade.

Then with a quick flash he slashed upwards towards the giant snake's neck. But missed as the beast quickly move back. After the first exchange both became weary of each other. The snake's speed was fast but it's not as fast as Shin Jiao's with the help of his boots.

"This snake is big but quick, I need to be careful."

Holding his sword with both hands and then tilting its tip facing down, he gathered his energy preparing for a second clash with the demon beast. The blade started to radiate a bluish and glow. Upon seeing this the giant king snake remaining good eye was wide open.

"You… you're just a mortal, how can you control nature energy?"

Upon seeing the surprise on the snake's eye, Shin Jiao sneered in his heart but didn't say anything. Then he quickly rushed and attacked the giant snake king.

"Hmph… An arrogant ant, do you think that little amount of power can kill me? Let me show you my true power then."

With a growl the giant snake king curled its huge body and use the accumulated force to strike.

When both neared each other in a flash, Shin Jiao quickly slashed upward which draws a blue line. But since his action is a little predictable the giant king snake cancelled it attack and using the momentum quickly evaded instead. After he missed, Shin Jiao noticed the giant snake on his left side suddenly striking its venomous fangs high in the air.

But the giant king snake only bit on empty air as Shin Jiao already moved and appear right behind it. Without hesitation he lashed out his sword which made a long deep gash destroying some of its scales on its back. But unluckily the giant king snake still predicted this move and also lashed out its tail which hits Shin Jiao and shot him back like a cannonball to the middle part of a large tree.

'What? It sacrificed its back just for me to fall in its trap… Cough… cough… What a clever beast…'

Spewing a mouth full of blood Shin Jiao fell helplessly towards the ground. As he was falling down the giant king snake dashed with the intent to devour the tiny human that wounded its back.

Darting with its mouth wide open from below. It anticipated the small human to fall directly in its wide mouth. Shin Jiao, upon seeing this, gathered all his remaining strength and quickly jerked his body so that he can thrust his sword downward which startled the snake. But it was too late, the sword entered its left eye making it fully blind. But the sword didn't stop there, it penetrated along with Shin Jiao's arm deeper until it hits the giant snake's brain. The energy on the sword's blade suddenly exploded inside its head and smashed its brain to a pulp.

Shin Jiao's fall was cushioned by the head of the giant king snake. Although it was still hard but it was enough to lessen the pain in his body. He was about to sight a relief when all of a sudden the giant king snake's body began to involuntarily convulse. The giant body of the snake suddenly flips and thrashed all its surroundings, the trees and rocks started flying all over. Upon seeing this Shin Jiao drag his wounded body inside the mansion once again.

Two hours later…

The body of the giant king snake lays lifeless on the battered ground. Then Shin Jiao's figure suddenly appear out of thin air.

"Geez, luckily I went inside or else I'm a dead meat!" he exclaimed upon seeing the devastation.

Then with a thought he sent the body of the dead giant king snake inside the mansion. With a smile plastered on his face, he picks his direction and ran at full speed.
