In the endless forest of Demon Greens, among the borders of giant trees that towers like high walls of a castle, lays a small town. This town like any other towns within the borders of the endless forest is bustling with people. Especially today when the whole town is going to hold the once every 2 years tournament for the 5 major clans.

This tournament will decide who will control most of the town's resources and hunting areas.

Each clans will be represented by its 5 most talented youth. With a cultivation strength not higher than a golden core stage.

The 5 major clans ruled the city along with the mayor and other officials.

The first and the strongest is the Li clan because they have 4 middle stage golden core elders and 1 golden core late stage patriarch.

Then Abe clan is the next strongest clan as they have 3 middle stage golden core experts and 2 primary stage.

The Xiemen clan, though in numbers of golden core they only have 3 but all of them are middle stages.

The Zok clan, a very reclusive clan and almost always neutral. Though they have 4 golden core middle stages expert, but they didn't meddle with the power struggle.

The last is the Mido clan, a newly risen power and has only 3 primary stage golden core and 1 middle stage golden core expert.

It was early in the morning, as the sun peaks upon the horizon. All the towns' people are bustling as merchants prepare their wares for the start of the tournament.

Not long after that group of youth cultivators started to line up in front of the stage.

"Hurry up Brother Luke! We're going to be late!"

A woman wearing a simple brown robe above her white training suit. But this didn't hide the perfect curves of her ample bosom coupled with her slim physique, fair-white complexion, red lips and a jade-white nose.

"I'm coming Sister Tang, I just finished making some defensive rune for you."

Luke ran towards the already impatient young woman and gave her 5 paper talismans with a level 1 protective rune script.

"Wow, Brother Luke… Thanks a lot! You really dotes on me." Upon seeing the talismans she forgot her impatience and just giggled in happiness as she coyly hugged the youth's burly arms. Luke blushed as he felt a jolt of electricity as the girl bosom touched his arm.

The two walk at the already crowded town square and joined their clan.

Many people are discussing on who would be the winner and how many youth would be unable to return. As every tournament a lot of geniuses from these major clans would fall. But those who succeed will rise their power by leaps and bounds. Coupled with their experience they will soar like dragons among men.

"Do you think the Li clan will still win this time?"

"No, I think it would be the genius Ben Lanero from the Xiemen clan. I heard he is at the peak of core forming stage at the age of 24."

"I don't think so. Laxia Lee of the Abe clan is the same level as Lanero but her sword skills are top notch."

"Guys, look at the Li clan members, all of their spiritual fluctuations and aura are at the peak of core forming stage. Do you think the other clans can compete against that?"

Gasp of astonishments can be heard as the people noticed the difference between the clan members participating in front of the stage.

All of the surrounding people stopped talking when a group of men started to walk up the stage. These are the leaders or representatives of every clan along with the mayor of the town. After everyone was seated on the guest seat atop the stage. A middle age man stood up wearing a white and blue robe. And the city lord badge hanging on his waist belt.

He greeted the audience and after saying some words, he looked at all the youths in front of him.

"This is the time for each and every young people to display their prowess and rise above all. For this tournament the town prepares a good prize for those who will win. The top 3 will each receive an earth pill, which can help you breakthrough to golden core. The second place will receive 5 low grade spirit stones."

With the mention of the prizes the crowd gasp and started to make a commotion. Chattering and discussing about the exorbitant prize the town is willing to give.

"That's insane… in this year's tournament the mayor is very generous."

"Yeah… I wish I could join, with the earth pill I could breakthrough to golden core in just a couple of years."

"Hah! You wish. With your cultivation do you think you can survive out there? They are laying their lives on the line so the prizes should be as such."

As the noises began to get out of control the mayor raise his hand and it slowly died down.

"The winner of this tournament will be given a chance to learn a mortal grade high tier skill for 5 days. This skill was used by the town's founder for fend off demon beast from the forest and founded this town."

After hearing that the crowd went wild.

That was the thunder strike skill, when trained to the highest level, the skill is powerful enough to kill a level 5 demon beast in one hit. Even the seniors of the clan became more interested in this year's tournament. Below the stage the loud discussions can be heard.

"Hey, Li Mouyun! Don't worry, I'll show you what I know after learning that skill. Ha ha ha!"

One of the youth wearing a blue robe with yellow patterns said. He has a well-built body and a chiseled jaw, his hawk like eyes was looking at the Li clan area. This youth is Grunt Abe, the leader of the Abe clan group.

On his side stood a young woman with an icy beauty and a slim-built body, her long black hair tied in a ponytail accentuated her white-complexion. This is Laxia Lee, the genius who has a master level sword skills. Her nonchalant expression give off the feeling that she didn't care.

"A dog that only knows how to bark."

This remark came from a youth near Mouyon Li, who is looking at the Abe clan members with disgust. But when his eyes gazed upon Laxia Lee, his expression changed and became perverted.

"You... We'll see who's the dog."

Grunt was angered by this thin perverted looking youth. But the youth didn't look at him, instead fixed his gazed at Laxia Lee's body.

"Girl why don't you come with us. Leave those losers be, I can show you how to have a good time. He he."

A sharp glint immediately appear on the young woman's eyes and a strong killing intent began to emit from her body. Her hand is already tightly grabbing the handle of her sword.

The mayor upon seeing that things has gone disarray, shouted in a loud voice.

"Listen everyone! We are about to start the tournament. The rules are as usual, the clan who can hunt the most or the strongest demon beast will win. The time limit is 3 days, those who are not able to return are considered fallen. If you are late, then your kills are not counted. Now these are the only rules the rest is up to you. Good Luck! Let the hunt begin!"

After that everyone in front of the stage rushed out in groups. The youth ran towards the exit of the village and entered the Demon Greens forest.
