Chapter 19

The dust particles spread obstructing the scenery as the crumbling land toppled over and cover the wide gaping hole of the cave's entrance. Not far from the rubbles, five cultivators wearing red and black robe stood sneering at the sight.

"That will take good care of those pest, but it's a shame brother Mouyun you can't have Xiosin for yourself."

"It doesn't matter, let's go."

The Li clan members quickly turn around and left the area.

They blew up the surrounding rocks on the wall to collapse and cover the cave's entrance. With all the rocks and debris they knew that there is no way the people inside can escape this predicament, along with that mortal.

Inside the cave Shin Jiao and the Mido clan group look in horror at the swarm of spider closing in on them.

"There are too many of them, what should we do Brother Luke!"

"We can't get out, the entrance it's blocked! I think we're trapped!"

The faces of the Mido clan members are filled with worry and panic. They are in a defensive formation and was staring at the incoming mass of silver spiders.

Behind the group, Shin Jiao stood and calmly analyzed the situation. He is deliberating his best course of action. Then he noticed that in this mass of spiders, deep in the cave a huge energy fluctuation appear.

'That should be their queen. If I take her out this swarm may disperse, but...'

Looking at the young cultivators in front, horror clearly is shown on their faces. He can even see that their brave leader Allen was shook.

"Guys, I'll open a path and we'll attack the queen behind this bunch! Okay? Let's go!"

Shin Jiao just rushed forward startling the group. But upon hearing what he said, each one of them nodded with understanding.

From behind his back, he unholstered two hand guns. Each has a blade as a trigger guard which has a length of a kitchen knife. These two are the artifacts he crafted awhile back.

Then upon nearing the Iron Frost Spiders, he began his shooting spree.

With the use of his energy, he guided each shot to pierce through each spider's head blowing them to smithereens. Since he already crafted a lot of bullets in advance and with a thought connected them to the mansion, he never had the worry of reloading.

The carnage stupefied the cultivators from the Mido clan.

"That is insane. It's like he can use infinite amount of spiritual burst. And doing that cost a lot of spiritual energy."

"No he is not using spiritual energy, I can feel that this… this power is from the elements."

Allen watched and noticed the oddities of the projectiles.

"What?! Then is he an Earth severing nascent? Only they can control the energy of nature."

In that comment, Allen just shook his head as if telling himself that it's also impossible judging from the age of Shin Jiao.

The group dashed forward as the Iron Frost spiders fell one by one. Helping with the assault Allen and his group used their skill and weapons.

As they rushed and attacked the swarm is like a sea of water being parted just to let them pass.

The group continued running while fighting the cascading waves of spiders. Then it came to view, not too far from them is the huge Iron Frost spider queen. The creature is around 3 meters in height and its legs are like metal spikes. Its abdomen is like a huge balloon that emits a chilling sensation. Around the queen's den ice pillars made of spider silk can be seen everywhere.

"Those, those are ice silk! They can be made into flexible armors that can withstand cold temperatures. If we can get those, the clan will reward us greatly."

The excitement cannot be hidden from the faces of the people from the Mido clan. As if they didn't care about the danger they are in. Greed almost kicks in and controlled their action.

"Hey! We're still in the spider queen's den. Be careful!"

Shin Jiao shouted which awaken the group of their almost reckless action.

"Roarrrr!"

As they draw closer to the queen, more and more silver spiders crawled out from the walls and in every corner. It was as if the cave wall is made of spider shells.

"This is getting way too dangerous! What should we do Brother Luke?"

"We can't face this many Iron frost spiders, we're way over our head here. We need to find a way out!"

"There! There's a light coming from that area, behind the spider queen."

Shin Jiao called out after noticing the light and pointed where it's coming from. Then an idea pop up in his mind. But to pull it off he needs everyone to be out of the area.

"I'll distract them, all of you run to the exit. I have my way out, so go!"

"No Brother Shin, we have to go together. Or else we fight together with you."

Allen was firm with his idea to fight with the creatures. Shin Jiao felt warm in his heart, at least in this world there are people who still care for others and can be a worthy friend.

"Are you crazy? I just told you I have a way out. If you are with me then, how can I escape?"

Shin Jiao is a little depressed, if this guy is with him, how can he execute his plans? So he had to make him go with the group.

After hearing that, Allen Luke was silent. As if contemplating of what Shin Jiao said is true.

"Brother Luke, if we stay here longer we will be over run. We need to leave now!"

This time Xiosin shouted, which awoken Allen from his deep thought.

"Guys! Close your eye! Now!"

Shin Jiao shouted with impatience. As he grab a level 1 demon core and infuse it with a light energy combo rune, then he throw it upwards. When the group saw this, they were suspicious and curious at the same time. But when Shin Jiao threw it up, they immediately closed their eyes.

A sudden flash of bright light illuminate the whole area which blinded the spiders.

"Okay, go run! Go!"

Shin Jiao reminded the group and they dashed to the exit as fast as they can.

After the group was gone, Shin Jiao stood between the passage out and the rampaging spiders which regained their sights. Looking at the sea of demon monsters in front of him, Shin Jiao chuckled deep with his heart.

'Thousands of demon core! All mine! Ha ha ha!'

From the mansion he took out blue rough sphere like thingy. He thought of making this item when he encountered a group of giant ants and almost got killed by their numbers. In his old world it's called a grenade, which can hurt or even kill in a wider range. But this item which he created is far more powerful as he used a level 2 demon beast core.

Infusing his energy inside the rough sphere it began to vibrate. Then he threw it in the middle of the swarm. Not long after that a loud boom followed by a strong jolt which almost threw Shin Jiao to the wall, if he wasn't lying flat on the ground.

As the smoke clears, he can see the devastation and the damage it made.

"Wow… That's one powerful grenade. Luckily I didn't over draft the charge and compressed the energy making it denser. Three times is this powerful, how about if I make it 5 times. He he."

The cave is littered with green blood and body parts of the Iron Frost Spiders. But there are those who survived and started to shakily stand up. From afar the queen spider also shakily rose up, covered with dead spiders who protected it in that crucial moment.

"Roarrrr!"

It roared with grievance and anger at the human who killed many of its offsprings.

"Hmm… With this little number left, I should conserve my ammo."

Using the blades on the gun, Shin Jiao dashed towards the remaining spiders which started to once again rush towards him. A scene where one man versus a swarm of demon beast clashing can be seen in that dark and gloomy cave.

Outside the cave, Allen and his group was surprised to hear the loud bang and since they were just outside the entrance they were pushed out by the sudden surge of force.

"What happened? How could there be a strong force? It's like the power of a golden core detonation."

Everyone was shocked after recovering from the knock back force. The group was scattered on the ground in front of the cave hole.

"Guys, we should check for brother Shin."

"Okay, but we have to be careful."

After picking themselves up, Allen and his group decided to help Shin Jiao and cautiously reenter the cavity of the cave.
