Alex's PoV:
The water wyvern was almost finished in charging its water element attack.
Ferros channeled some of his mana into his right hand while holding his right hand with his left hand to brace his arm from the water wyvern's incoming attack.
Ferros gathered mana from the surroundings to recover his mana while maintaining and concentrating some of his mana to his right hand.
Ferros activated his destruction magic towards his right hand which consumed mana every second that had passed by.
"Distere, the two of us will transfer some of our mana to Ferros and support and prevent him from being pushed by the water wyvern's incoming attack!"
After I had said that, Distere and I stepped forward, went behind Ferros, and was only a few meters away from Ferros.
Distere placed his right hand on Ferros' left shoulder while I placed my left hand on Ferros' right shoulder.
The water wyvern finished charging its water attack and released a stream of water towards my teammates.
Ferros blocked and gradually destroyed the water wyvern's attack using his right hand that was coated with destruction magic.
Ferros wasn't able to handle the impact of the water wyvern's attack so he was being pushed back centimeter by centimeter.
Distere and I applied force into our hand that was placed on Ferros' back and supported and prevented Ferros from being pushed back.
The combined forces of Distere, Ferros, and I was enough to block the water wyvern's attack without being pushed back.
"I'm running out of mana! My mana recovery couldn't keep up with my mana consumption rate!"
Ferros yelled towards us which signaled Distere and me to transfer our mana towards Ferros through our hand into Ferros' back.
I also helped in manipulating the mana inside Ferros to evenly circulate it in his body except for his right hand.
By manipulating the mana inside Ferros' body, I prevented the overflowing mana that Distere and I had transferred to Ferros from going haywire that might have resulted in backfiring inside his body.
Ferros was able to successfully block the water wyvern's attack without being pushed back while Distere and I continued in supporting Distere while transferring mana towards his body.
The water wyvern's attack had not yet ended so the three of us continued in blocking its attack.
While the three of us were blocking its attack, I came up with a brilliant idea.
"Catherine! Attack the water wyvern using your nature magic or at least interrupt it while Distere, Ferros, and I will stall the water wyvern!"
Catherine heeded my command and started casting her nature magic towards the nearby trees and grass.
It seemed that Catherine must have used up most of her mana to cast her nature magic towards the trees and grass to strengthen and manipulate it.
Catherine's attack was still on standby because she had waited for my command to release her attack.
"Satomi! Protect both Catherine and Grace from the attack of the water wyvern that Distere, Ferros, and I had failed to block! Risk your life just to protect their life since they only have one life unlike you!"
Satomi had understood my intentions from my command so he nodded and went in front of Grace and Catherine.
Satomi's defense and the rest of his stats might be average since all of his stats possessed the same quantity due to his passive skill that increased his stats whenever he died.
But, Satomi's immortality passive skill was what made him the best meat shield and bait in any battle.
Not to mention that Satomi's pain tolerance had drastically improved due to death countless times.
Our team's formation was still stable despite the onslaught of the water wyvern.
Ferros' destruction magic that he had used to block the water wyvern was still active and was supplied with mana by Distere and me.
So, my teammates and I weren't that troubled by the attack of the water wyvern.
I sensed the mana of the water wyvern and if I'm not mistaken, the water wyvern must be running out of mana.
The water wyvern's stream of water attack might only last for several seconds or a few minutes at best.
"Ferros! Keep on activating your destruction magic to block off the water wyvern's attack! The water wyvern's attack might end in a few minutes at best! Just tell us if you can't handle it anymore so that Distere and I would be able to formulate a plan in time!"
I motivated Ferros to keep his attack and reminded him that Distere and I would take care of the rest if he would no longer be able to withstand the attacks of the water wyvern.
Ferros nodded at me and focused on blocking the water wyvern's attack while Distere and I kept on supplying him with our mana.
I had noticed that Distere had almost run out of mana since the mana he supplied to Distere was much more than the mana he had recovered from absorbing the mana in the surrounding.
I told Distere that he should take a rest and recover his mana and I would be the one to handle supplying Ferros with some mana since I had a much larger mana pool than Distere.
Distere thanked me, went behind Satomi, and sat beside Grace while he was recovering his mana.
My mana consumption rate in transferring mana to Ferros was now doubled so I tried my best in recovering my mana by absorbing mana in the surrounding at an astonishing speed.
By doing so, not only was I able to maintain in supplying Ferros with my mana, but I was also able to slowly recover my mana.
But of course, it came with a price. My stamina was consumed in the process while my concentration was diverted.
Now I have to multi-task in transferring Ferros some mana, keeping Ferros' mana inside his mana from going haywire, and recovering my mana.
Doing those three tasks at the same time not only made me felt like I had run several kilometers but also felt as if my head had been banged into a wall.
I didn't mind it that much because I was able to at least help Distere in recovering his strength.
I noticed that Ferros wasn't running out of mana but instead stamina.
Since I didn't have any healing magic that could restore stamina, I told Ferros that I would take over in defending against the attack of the water wyvern while Ferros would take a rest.
I invoked a huge wall made out of wood and used it to block the attack of the water wyvern.
I didn't use my earth magic to create an earth wall since it wouldn't last that long because the soil would dissolve if it came in contact with water.
Ferros took a rest after he saw me defend the attack of the water wyvern.
I kept on fortifying the wooden wall by reinforcing it with more mana.
I made the wooden wall into a shape of a curve instead of a rectangle so that the impact of the water wyvern's attack would be reduced.
I tried my best to withstand the attack of the water wyvern while waiting for the water wyvern's attack to end.
I channeled some of my mana into my eyes to improve my sight in seeing the flow of mana.
I saw and found out that the water wyvern's mana might only last a minute at best due to the water wyvern's high mana consumption rate in its attack.
After at least a minute had passed, the water wyvern's attack was gradually getting weaker until its attack finally ended.
"It's time to attack the water wyvern while it's incapable of attacking us with magic!"
I informed my teammates while canceling the wooden wall that I had conjured.
"Distere and Ferros! The three of us will attack the water wyvern in unison until we would be able to deal significant damage to it! Satomi and Catherine will focus on protecting Grace!"
I commanded my teammates and they nodded in response.
Catherine manipulated the grass and trees near her to create a wall that protected Satomi, Grace, and her.
"Distere and Ferros! Let's combine our magic to create our ultimate magic that would be able to pierce through the water wyvern's defense!"
I suggested to Distere and Ferros and the two of them agreed.
I observed the water wyvern and it seemed that the water wyvern wasn't planning to attack us but instead, the water wyvern was waiting for us to attack.
After knowing that it was safe to create a combination attack, Distere, Ferros, and I held our hands and formed a circle together.
Distere and I combined our mana and materialized a sword at the center of our formation.
Distere and I kept on supplying the mana sword our mana to amplify its sharpness and durability.
After the sword was almost completed, Ferros added the finishing touch by adding his destruction mana towards the sword.
The mana sword that was once blue-colored became purple-colored due to Ferros' destruction of mana.
Distere, Ferros, and I manipulated the mana sword by floating it above the center of our formation and aiming it towards the water wyvern.
"Take this! Combination Magic- Sword Of Destruction!", Distere, Ferros and I shouted in unison.
