Chapter 38 - Nature's Storm

The moment Shizen's spell was about to hit the Elementalist an explosion occured around him destroying Shizen's spell in the process.

Shizen then quickly dashes towards the Elementalist with the grey hood.

He was the about to punch the Elementalist but he then sensed a gust of pressured wind heading towards him and he barely manages dodge it.

The gust of pressured wind caused a little scratch on Shizen's face. The gust of pressured with then hits a tree behind Shizen causing an explosion behind him.

Shizen then quickly realized what's going on and he then punches the Elementalist in front of him in the face destroying the mask he's wearing knocking the Elementalist a certain distance.

"Tell me!!!! How!!! How!!!" Shizen angrily yelled.

"How did you get that Elemental Art!!!" He angrily yelled.

"The "Gale Dragon"... How did you get it!!!" Shizen angrily yelled.

"So you still know that Elemental Art" The Elementalist stated causing Shizen to be a bit shocked as the voice of the Elementalist sounds familiar.

"That voice... It can't be... How are you still alive" Shizen stated as a few tears flow down from his eyes.

The Elementalist then turns around revealing his face causing Shizen to shed some tears.

"Geiru..." Shizen stated as he was shocked to see his dead friend.

"Gale Dragon Scale Storm" Geiru then chanted a spell releasing a tremendous barrage of energy from his body in the shape of dragon scales.

Shizen then immediately falls back as the barrage of energy quickly approaches him.

"Nature Dragon Bark Scale" Shizen then chanted a spell causing his entire body to be covered with wood.

The barrage of energies then hits Shizen causing a tremendous explosion during the impact but luckily he manages to withstood it.

Geiru then quickly charges after Shizen and they began to do hand to hand combat.

"Geiru I didn't came here to fight you!!" Shizen stated as they continued to fight.

"Too bad" Geiru replied as he then kicks Shizen in the face knocking him to a nearby tree.

"Gale Dragon Hurricane Explosion" Geiru then chanted a spell releasing a tremendous blast made of pressured air and it's heading straight to Shizen.

"Nature Dragon Bark Prison" Shizen chanted a spell and wood then came out of the ground and surrounded him.

The pressurized air then hits the bark prison creating a devastating explosion destroying the trees nearby luckily it manages to withstood the attack.

"Gale Dragon Typhoon Sweep" Geiru then chanted a spell causing a tremendous amount of energy to gather in his right hand creating a pressurized air claw.

He then slashes the air claw in the air creating a diagonal air slash destroying the bark prison during the impact.

"What's wrong, This isn't your style to play defensively" Geiru stated as he quickly approaches Shizen punching him in the face knocking him back.

"Gale Dragon Pressurized Fist" Geiru quickly then chanted a spell gathering a tremendous amount of energy in his right hand.

He then punches the air in front of him releasing a pressurized air fist hitting Shizen knocking him to nearby trees.

"Why... Why are you doing this Geiru..." Shizen muttered as he struggles to get up due to his injuries.

"Didn't we made a vow to protect the-" Shizen stated before being interrupted by Geiru.

"The Kingdom you swore to protect are filled with both lies and hatred" Geiru replied as he slowly approaches Shizen.

"People who protected the kingdom up until now are idiots, They're all being manipulated" Geiru added.

"What do you mean?" Shizen muttered.

"Oh Shizen, Quit acting stupid, We both know the Sage Council is filled with nothing but corruption" Geiru stated.

"Their are no true Elementalist other the Crowned Dragons or the Grand Elementalist who truly protect the Elemental World" Geiru stated.

"Fame, S.e.x, Fortune, Those are the only factors Elementalist d.e.s.i.r.e" Geiru added.

"That's why corruption occurs, They rely too much on the Grand Elementalist without him/her the only one left to rule is the Sage Council" Geiru stated.

"But... Unlike them... The Sage Council only cared about fame-" Geiru stated before being interrupted by Shizen

"Is this about Kaena..." Shizen muttered.

"How dare you mention her name!!" Geiru yelled in rage releasing a pressurized air around him destroying the surroundings around them.

The area around them was destroyed with the trees around them either blown away or was burned due to the energy released in the pressurized air.

"Gale Dragon Typhoon Roar" Geiru then chanted a spell releasing a focus blast of pressurized air and it's headed straight for Shizen.

The pressurized air blew Shizen away creating an explosion burning the plants that were hit in the explosion.

Shizen then quickly dashes to Geiru as he was about to punch him in the face using his left arm.

Geiru easily dodges the punch and counters Shizen by immediately punching Shizen in the guts after he dodges the attack.

Shizen then flinched causing Geiru to immediately kick him in the face knocking him to a nearby boulder.

Geiru then quickly dashes to Shizen grabbing his face with his right hand smashing his face to the ground.

"Why are you so weak" Geiru stated as he slams Shizen's face to the ground once again.

"Nature Dragon Solar-" Shizen chanted a spell as a tremendous amount of energy began gathering in his hand but Geiru slammed his head to the ground once again canceling his spell.

"Pathetic, just pathetic" Geiru stated.

"Gale Dragon Typhoon Blade" Geiru then chanted a spell and a sword made of pressurized wind appeared in his hand.

He then stabs the pressurized sword at Shizen's shoulders locking it in place at it penetrated the ground.

"What happened to you..." Shizen muttered as he struggles to get up.

"You and Kaena were the ideal Gādian candidates..." Shizen muttered.

"We were" Geiru stated.

"Our ideals are worthless" Geiru stated as he shouted those words right through Shizen's ear triggering something within him.

"T..." Shizen muttered.

Geiru then looks down at Shizen and in a matter of a second the pressurized sword that was stabbed at Shizen's shoulder was instantly removed.

With the pressurized sword removed Shizen immediately punches Geiru in the face knocking him a couple of distance.

"Take back what you just said!!" Shizen yelled in anger as he glares at Geiru.

"I don't know what's going on with you but... The Geiru I know would never abandon Kaena's ideals" Shizen stated.

"I'll beat the crap out of you until-" Shizen stated before being interrupted by Geiru.

"Elementalist like you are all nothing but pointless talkers" Geiru stated as he immediately dashes towards Shizen.

He then tries to punch Shizen once again but this time Shizen manages to block it with his right hand.

"Dragon Sage Secret Art: Overgrowth Bloom" Shizen then chanted a spell and a mysterious green aura then surrounded his entire body.

"Gale Dragon-" Geiru stated as he was about to chant a spell but Shizen immediately punches him knocking him back.

Shizen then immediately dashes towards Geiru with the speed faster than an eye good blink.

"Gale Dragon Typhoon Landfall" Geiru then chanted a spell releasing a tremendous amount of energy around him causing a gigantic explosion.

The explosion hits Shizen but unlike before Shizen's body turned into flowers as he dashes to Geiru.

Shizen then grabs Geiru using his right hand as his left hand was then covered with tree bark.

"Gale Dragon Typhoon Blade" Geiru then chanted a spell and a sword made of pressurized wind appeared in his hand.

He then tries to stabbed Shizen once again with the pressurized sword but unfortunately Shizen's right hand turned into flowers once again as the pressurized sword touches it.

Shizen then punches Geiru in the face using his left hand knocking him back a certain amount of distance.

"Gale Dragon Typhoon Sweep" Geiru then chanted a spell causing a tremendous amount of energy to gather in his right hand creating a pressurized air claw.

He then slashes the air claw in the air creating a diagonal air slash heading straight towards Shizen.

"Nature Dragon Floral Scythe" Shizen then chanted a spell and a scythe made of Nature Dragon energy appeared in his left hand.

Shizen then slowly walks towards Geiru and the pressurized air slash hits him but unfortunately it just passes through Shizen's body as the moment the air slash hits Shizen his body turned into flowers.

"Damnit, He's using that annoying flower trick once again" Geiru stated in thought.

"If I remember correctly "Overgrowth Bloom" let's him chant a numerous amount of spells at once" Geiru stated in thought.

"With that spell chanted he now uses his defensive spells offensively" Geiru added in thought.

"He uses "Nature Dragon Floral Illusion" to instantly evade incoming enemy spells and attack while using "Nature Dragon Bark Scale" to enhance his physical attacks by turning his body into wood" Geiru stated in thought.

"And to top it all off... His ability allows him to heal his injuries as long as there's sunlight" Geiru added.

"But if I remember correctly... The drawbacks of "Overgrowth Bloom" was-" Geiru's head was then slammed into the ground.

"Gale Dragon Typhoon Landfall" Geiru then chanted a spell releasing a tremendous amount of energy around him causing a gigantic explosion.

The explosion hits Shizen once again and like before his body turned into flowers causing him to evade the spell.

Shizen then punches Geiru in the face causing the ground beneath them to form a huge crater.

Gale Dragon Typhoon-" Geiru chanted a spell once again but unfortunately Shizen immediately punches him canceling the spell.

Shizen then repeatedly punches the Geiru over and over but with each punch become more slower and weaker.

After a while Shizen stopped his attack as tears then began falling from his eyes

"I can't do it" Shizen muttered as the green aura that covered his entire body disappeared shocking Geiru.

"Kaena wouldn't want to see us fighting, would she?" Shizen happily said.

Geiru then pushes Shizen causing him to fall down and stumble on the ground.

"What's wrong with you!!" Geiru yelled.

"You had the power to kill me just now... Why didn't you do it?" Geiru yelled.

"Geiru... The power I wield isn't use to take lives away, I'll use my power in order to protect those who I cherish" Shizen stated.

Geiru was then shocked hearing those exact phrases as the phrase that Shizen just stated was the one that Kaena used to say.

"Do you have someone you want to protect Geiru?"

"I want to use my power in order to protect the one's I cherish"

"Look at you being all stingy, Just smile a little bit you'll scare the ones you swore to protect" Kaena smiled.

"I'm sorry... Geiru.... I failed to keep our promise..."

Tears then fall from Geiru's eyes as he remembers the memories he had with Kaena.

"Geiru, It's not to late to change" Shizen stated.

"You wouldn't understand Shizen" Geiru replied.

"Geiru, I know how it feels to lose someone, especially to those who you trust" Shizen stated as a few tears pour down.

"There are a lot of secrets I know about our Kingdom that I'm not supposed to know" Shizen stated.

"And one of them was about Kaena's death" Shizen stated.

"W-Wait you knew?" Geiru stated in shock.

"A few weeks after your "death", The ones who planned Kaena's death were all captured and executed" Shizen stated.

"Geiru, I know how it feels loosing someone, Kaena was like a sister to me" Shizen stated.

"What would you think she'd say if she saw you right now" Shizen asked.

"She's dead Shizen... You should just kill me already.... I've already accepted-" Geiru stated but he was then interrupted by Shizen.

"If I kill you now, How will you face Kaena in the after life, Would you even have the courage to face her after everything you've done" Shizen stated showing a smile on his face.

Shizen then stands up from the ground as he then helps Geiru stand up as well.

"I'll be leaving now" Shizen stated as he slowly walks away from Geiru.

"W-W-W-Waitt!! What're you doing" Geiru yelled.

"I'm going help my little brother, He's facing four of your henchmen on his own" Shizen stated.

"You just can't leave like that" Geiru replied in a confused tone.

"Why? The hostages are healed and secure and there's no more reason for us to fight" Shizen stated.

"But I'm the boss of this whole ritual operation" Geiru yelled.

"I don't see no boss, All I see is a broken-hearted delinquent" Shizen stated pissing Geiru off.

Shizen then happily laughs confusing Geiru.

"I don't have to worry about the hostages, Besides I know that you won't hurt them anymore" Shizen stated.

"Shizen" Geiru muttered.

"I understand what you've been through and how her death affected you, That's why I have full faith that you'll change for the better" Shizen stated.

"You don't have to worry, I won't tell Haru nor anyone that you're still alive Geiru" Shizen stated shocking Geiru.

"It's not up to me to decide that, when the time comes I want you to return back from the shadows to the new Kingdom we built" Shizen stated.

"But only return once you finally found your true self" Shizen added as he then walks away from Geiru.

"That idiot..." Geiru muttered as tears pour down from his eyes.

"After everything that's happened, he still has faith for Elementalist like me" He added.

"I also forgot to mention, go and visit Kaena's grave and apologize to her" Shizen yelled.

"It's the least you can do after everything you've done, I'm sure she's pretty worried about you" Shizen added as he then dashes upwards a tree as he the travelled from branch to branch saying goodbye to his old friend.
