"Are you sure you won't be coming Rio?" Archie asked for the last time.
"Just go. don't mind me." He casually said. Archie exited the house. Before getting inside the car, he called Aisha.
"He won't be coming. But don't worry I'll be there." He assured her.
"Thank you uncle Archie." She sighed, "But I think it's okay. I saw the woman yesterday."
"Who? Cherry?"
"I guess she is. But she is called Ms. Gray, Sherry Gray."
"Where did you see her?"
"Saphiro Gentz company, with Ethan."
"Are you sure about that?"
"Yes Uncle." Archie caresses his forehead. If it is true that she is with that murderer, then something is not right. He needs to know.
"Okay, copy that. Just so be careful with that woman." he warned.
"What do you mean uncle?"
"You'll find out soon. I'm on my way now. see you there."
"Yes uncle. Bye." Aisha heaved a sigh. What does uncle Archie mean when he said be careful with the woman? is she a friend or an enemy? Well, she'll find out soon.
Aisha is about to go downstairs. Ethan and Eli is definitely waiting for her in the kitchen when her cell phone rang. Unknown number? It's an oversee number! She picked it up.
"Hello? How can I help you?"
"Aisha it's Johnny!" she heard him.
"Johnny! How are you? Did you find my sister?" she was restless.
"No, Not yet. but I was able to talk to her so-called mentor here in Paris."
"Mentor? Did you mean Doctor?"
"No! she's not in a comma. She's perfectly fine and I met one of her mentors here."
"What did he say?"
"She's gone to Asia a week ago. I was informed that she will be traveling Asia for two weeks before coming back to Paris."
"Why would she be in Asia?"
"I'll tell you all about it later. I am about to board the plane."
"Are you going to find her? Do you have her itinerary?"
"Yes. I was able to get through her mentor. I am actually boarding the plane now going to the Philippines. I just called to let you know."
"Thank you Johnny." She warmth a little.
"Not a problem. I have to disconnect now. bye." Then the call got disconnected.
Not in a comma? Paris? Philippines? Mentor? Does Aisha need to know more lies about her twin sister and her foster parents? What is the real story? Aisha unconsciously saunters back and forth while touching her jawline.
He looked exasperated. He punched the wall in his anger. Larry's knees trembled in panic but he must stand still.
"Do everything in your power to block that article! If the company won't cooperate then shut it down!" Ethan shouted. He was with Eli waiting for Aisha to come down just so they could have breakfast together when Larry came hurriedly. He whispered something in Ethan's ears so they rushed to the study room.
Larry got an intriguing news from one of their media friend. He was informed that the media already got a hold of it but they are planning to release the story early evening. Seems like they want to corner the woman at the annual symposium.
The informant also sent out a sample copy of the article. As soon as Larry saw it, he was alarm so he rushed to report it to Ethan.
"THE GREAT CEO'S WIFE IS A GANGSTER!" Ethan held the newspaper irately. It was on the headline. He crumpled the paper and hammered it on the floor.
"Sir, we may be able to hold it temporarily but it won't take long since our lookout said that the article was already disseminated to almost publishing companies all over the country." Larry explained.
"But our men are doing their best to monitor not just the publishing companies but as well as the entertainment and social media." Larry continued.
"Make sure to double our men during the annual symposium. keep the media away from her." Ethan spoke firmly. Worry can be heard in his tone.
"Yes Sir. But is there's a way for Madam not to attend the Annual Symposium that I think is safer for her." Larry suggested. Ethan stood up straight when he heard Larry. Yes! that's right! Well, he can just ask Aisha not to attend the Annual Symposium.
He will try to convince her. he needs a valid reason. He was thinking profoundly when they heard a knock outside his study room.
"Ethan? Are you there?" Aisha is calling outside his office. Larry and Ethan looked at each other. What will they do just so she won't attend tonight's event?
"Ethan?" she called out again. Ethan stood up and walks towards the door. He twists the doorknob to open the door wide.
"Is there's a problem?" He charmingly smiled. Aisha was a bit surprise but she was able to get back to her momentum. She saw Larry.
"Oh I'm sorry did I just disturbed you? I'm sorry I didn't know!" she apologetically answered.
"No, we're almost done."
"Oh okay. Eli told me you'd be here. Breakfast is ready." She smiled.
"Okay. I'll be there in a second."
"Sure. Call Larry to join us as well. I'll go ahead first." She smiled.
"Okay. By the way, good morning love" Ethan gave a quick kiss on her lips before she left. But before Aisha left, she gazed at the crumpled newspaper on the floor, her eyes twitch.
As soon as Aisha left the room, Ethan faced Larry.
"Just be prepared tonight."
"Yes Sir." Larry left.
"Where's Larry?" Aisha asked when she saw Ethan walking towards the dining table.
"He already left. He only came to hand me something."
"I see." she sips her tea. "By the way, I might be late later at the symposium event." She informed him. Ethan looked at her aloofly.
"About that, you may not go." Aisha lift her eyes on him.
"What do you mean?"
"Events like this aren't your cup of tea right?" he tried to act naturally.
"Yeah, But I want to see this particular event. This is important for you and for the company right? I would love to come and support you." She smiled sheepishly.
Ethan sighed. Indeed, he's been wanting to show her off, but not as a GANGSTER but as is beloved. Guess it can't be help. Maybe it would also pave way for her to tell him the truth. Maybe, just maybe.
