"What did you just say?" Rio asked Archie. He was shocked with his brow knitted.
Archie received a report that Rio's brother, Liam had been acting strange the past days. One of the elders said that he was claiming the throne of being the next Mafia Chief after Rio. When he was asked about Aisha, he laugh contentedly. He accidentally uttered that she won't be coming back to the North State. She's dead!
It was the news about her death that triggers some of the elders to call Archie.
"Where did you get that information?" Archie asked the first elder.
"Archie it was all over the news! Liam also told us." he exclaimed, "Is it true?"
Archie creased a brow. It is indeed all over the news. But it was Stacy not Aisha. he was thinking deeply. Something isn't right, but he can't point out what it is.
He's been receiving calls from the Mafia elders asking about Aisha's current situation so he went to find Rio. He must be the one to answer their questions.
"The Elders have been calling me asking about Aisha. they heard about her death." Archie told Rio who was looking at the horizon before them.
"Hmm… But how did they know about it?"
"The elders said that It's all over the news, and now, Liam, your brother has been claiming the throne after you. he's gaining the elders trust!" Archie explained.
"Did you say that it was Liam who informed the elders first about Aisha's death?" he was in deep thought.
"Yes!"
"Something is off." he was tracing his jaw.
"The truth is; I was feeling the same way."
"How did Liam knew about Aisha's death? In fact, the name on the news was Stacy?" Rio held his phone. He was thinking of calling Liam.
Meanwhile, Lisa was sitting in an empty seat when an unknown woman approached her. she seems nice so she let her sit beside her.
"You look so sad. Are you okay?" the woman started the conversation.
"Ehm, I'm okay. I just remembered my close friend." Lisa smiled sweetly.
"Oh what happened? Where is she?"
"Dead."
"Oopps! I'm sorry!" the woman fakes her sympathy.
Lisa smiled then she looked outside.
"Would you like to have a walk? I could be a friend." The woman offered.
"Ah no, it's okay. I'm fine. Thank you." she declined. She remembered what Caleb told her, not to talk to any strangers. But Aisha is dead. Who would still try to harm her, right?
The woman touched her hands.
"I've been there before so I know you're not fine." She gave out a comforting smile.
Indeed, Lisa is not okay, not yet.
"I lost my mom when I was ten years old. I was devastated, super! I was looking for someone to lean on during those times but people thought I was strong enough since I didn't shed a single tear when she died."
"That sucks. It must have been hard for you." Lisa squeaked.
"Yeah definitely. So I tried to keep everything inside me." She chuckled.
"I'm sorry to hear about your mom."
"It's fine. I'm over it already." She giggled, "Though last year, I lost a very good friend, Again. It was actually the man I am supposed to spend my life with--- forever."
Lisa saw her change of emotion. She feels sorry her.
"Did he die?"Lisa asked suddenly.
"Ehm… It was during our wedding day. Car accident." She started to tear up. "I'm sorry, I'm not over it just yet that's why I am too emotional." She fakes a laugh.
Lisa touched her hand.
"I'm sorry that I reminded you of him, again" she comforted.
"It's okay." she sobs.
"Uhm, would you like to take a walk instead?" Lisa was the one who offered it.
"I love too!" the woman seems excited.
They exited the tea store. They were walking while listening to each other's stories.
Lisa's guard were trying to hide among the people. he tried blending in. however, there's a lot of people passing through. if something goes wrong, he might not be able to protect the woman.
He was getting some photos using his android phone then he kept sending it to Caleb. The two woman looks innocent as they happily blend among the crowds.
Unknown to the guard, some guys were intently watching him somewhere.
"The guard has his eye on you. But he won't dare to bring out his gun in public." The man spoke. The woman with Lisa was able to hear him using her earpiece.
The woman bought her phone out. "I'll just call my sister to let her know that we are here. She must have been worried sick by now." she chuckled and distanced herself a bit.
"Release some of our men to distract the guard and park the car in a place where I can see you." she said while pretending to speak to someone over the phone.
"got it."
The woman approached Lisa who was sitting in a bench tree as soon as she relayed her message to his companions.
"I'm sorry about that, she said she'll be coming to pick me up."
"Oh I see. Let's just wait for her then." Lisa smiled.
"Thank you so much and I'm sorry that I disturbed you."
"I'm good." Lisa smiled.
The guard who was secretly taking photos of them was distracted a little when a man bumps into him. he dropped his phone on the ground.
"I'm sorry!" the man kowtowed as he apologizes, "Is it still okay? if not, then I'll just pay for it." he offered.
"No-No! it's okay." the guard was trying to finish their conversation when he picked his phone. He tried looking at Lisa's direction earlier but he can't see her! he panicked.
He looked around. There! he can see Lisa struggling to break away from some men's grip. They forced her to enter the van.
"Hey! Wait! Lisa!" the guard tried to catch the van but they're gone! They drove past him.
He immediately called Caleb,
"Lisa! They got her!"
