Aisha helped Caleb and Lisa prepared their things. Caleb wanted to go back at his house in the Central City without Lisa but Lisa insisted to go with him since he is not fully healed. He needs someone to take care of him.
"Have you seen Sophie? I haven't seen her since last night." Caleb asked.
Lisa and Aisha look at each other. They have a hint as to where she is but Aisha had been calling Hunter last night but her call is being directed to the voicemail.
"What's with that gaze?" Caleb creased a brow.
"Nothing. She'll be at your house sooner or later." Aisha uttered. "Call me once you get home, okay?"
"We will." Lisa hugs her friend before she entered the passenger seat. "Bid us goodbye for Eli and Ethan."
"I will, bye." Then they drove off. Some of Ethan's men went with them too. Aisha was about to enter the house when she saw Ethan's car entering the gate. She didn't know that Ethan went out at midnight. As to where he went, she doesn't have any idea.
She smiled at him when he got off the car. "Where have you been?"
"Ah I just need to sort some things in the office." He kissed her forehead.
"At midnight?"
Ethan was taken aback. How did she know?
"I had to see someone at the airport that's why." he faked a smile. "Where is Eli and grandpa? Were supposed to accompany them at the ancestral mansion."
"They've been waiting inside." She smiled but she was able to catch Ethan's hesitation earlier. his hiding something. Then she looked at Larry who averted his gaze.
"Let's go inside then." He held her hand.
"Ehm." She nodded. They saw the two coming down the stairs with the maids holding their stuffs.
"Mom! Dad!" Eli run down the stairs.
"Eli, careful!" Aisha exclaimed but Eli managed to reach them without falling.
"Dad, are we going to stay at grandpa's house again?" he asked in delight. Aisha and Ethan look at each other.
"Yes we will. But dad and mom needs to stay here for a while because we need to settle some things in the office. You understand that right?"
"Ehm!" Eli nodded innocently.
"Then let's go before the rain pours again."
Ethan and Aisha wants to see them reach the ancestral mansion safe so they went with them. They were guarded heavily as they drove off.
***She woke up with the sun hitting her face and also with the voice of a woman and a man talking to each other. She can hear their laughter in the room. she felt annoyed. She hates it when she wakes up by noises around her.
She sat on the bed and caresses her head. Her head hurts and is feeling dizzy. She tried to stand up while holding on the table beside her. She needs to go to the bathroom but she halted. Wait! This isn't her room! it's not her house! And she is sure that she's not at Ethan's villa. Then she recalled what happened last night.
Dang! The last thing she remembered was hunter's face. Wait, what? is she at hunter's room? then she heard crisp laughs outside. The man was definitely hunter and the woman---- Rizza!?
she grinned when she thought of an idea.
She looked at herself in the mirror, put a small amount of powder, a slight touch of lip tint. Then she messes her hair as if she just woke up. She also unbuttons her shirt, exposing her cleavage. She also made sure to loosen the shirt to expose her other shoulder. Without delay, she opened the door which caught the attention of the two person talking at the counter. They looked at her.
She forged a yawn with her hands up, eyes closed as if no one is outside. she stepped out innocently without looking at the two whose eyes was fixed on her.
Rizza held her breath, her eyes widened in disbelief. She looked at Hunter then to the woman. Did they do it? last night? her face reddened like a tomato. She can't believe her eyes. thiswoman is sophistically pretty.
Hunter looked at Sophie's direction. He raised his brow. What is she thinking? Sophie went to the couch and laid her body down. She laid seductively. Hunter's forehead knitted.
"H-Hunter… w-who is she? What is she doing here?" Rizza was baffled.
"It's a long story. I'll tell you the story next time." he faked a smile.
"Oh, okay… I-I remembered that I have to meet someone today. I'll see myself out." she rushed outside.as soon as she reached her car, she tapped her chest. It hurts her.
"Hey, what do you think are you doing?" Hunter walked near the woman laying on the couch. The woman immediately sat down.
"Sitting on the couch, as you can see." she sarcastically answered.
"Don't play dumb. Do you think I didn't notice?"
"That… that's just… I'm just… I need to lay my head down cause it's aching and I'm feeling dizzy. That's it." she lied. Hunter annoyingly sighed.
"Who told you to get drunk when you can't even handle yourself?" Hunter uttered then he went to the kitchen, heated the porridge and serve it to the woman on the couch.
"Eat this. It'll help with your hangover."
"Thanks." She indifferently uttered. The guy sat opposite her, he was looking intently at the woman slowly eating the porridge.
"C-can I borrow your phone? I just need to make a call." Sophie asked. Hunter twitched his lip.
"Are you kidding me? After destroying my phone last night, you still have the guts to asked that?"
"Ehh?" she raised her brow. Then she remembered what she did last night. she felt a pang of guilt within her.
"T-that…" she felt embarrass. "I'll just buy you a new one." She made a face.
"Yeah, you should. And it should be now." Hunter smirked.
"Hey! I just woke up and still feeling dizzy. Are you saying that I should go out like this? I'm just even wearing a---'' she paused when she realized something.
"I-I'm wearing…" She gazed at her shirt. "Wait, I'm wearing a dress last night. how come?" she stared at Hunter.
"You—Did you?"
Sophie doesn't need to hear his answer since his teasing chuckles confirmed it all.
"Hunter, I will definitely kill you!" she clenched her teeth in embarrassment. She stood up and is about to hit hunter but he caught her hand.
"Do you think I wanted to? FYI, I didn't have a choice. If I can only call Aisha or Lisa, then I should have done it. but do you think someone will pick a call at 1am?" he reiterated
"Then you saw everything?"
"And so? You are not even sexy in the first place."
"Shame on you! don't even try to tell anyone about this if you still love your life!" she threatened.
"Oh, I'm threatened, ho-ho!" Hunter mocked her.
"I hate you!" she made a face then turned her back on him. She was pissed and Hunter loves to see her get pissed off. She's somehow cute when she makes faces.
"Hey!" Hunter suddenly spoke. Sophie's back is still facing him. "Tell me, why are you at the restaurant last night? and don't you lie saying that you are there to meet Curtis because I know that you don't have a meeting with him."his voice was firm.
Sophie jolted at his question. "Where's my dress and my car keys? I need to go home as soon as possible. I'll just buy you a new phone tomorrow." She redirected the topic.
"Sophie!"
"My dress? Where is it?" she yelled. she's back to her usual unfriendly state. Hunter sighed.
"Outside, it should be dry by now." Hunter went back to the counter while Sophie went outside to get her dress. Hunter is cleaning a machine gun when the door suddenly opened.
"Your car key is on top of my table." He didn't turn around to face the woman.
"H-hunter…" Sophie spoke softly. She's breaking.
"What? do you need anything else----'' he spun around to see Sophie with six loaded men. two guns where pointing at Sophie's head and the others were pointing at him.
"Sophie!" Worry is visible in his eyes and voice. Then he looked at the men. "What do you need?"
"Your friend, Aisha!" one of the men exclaimed. "Tell her to come here if you want your girlfriend to stay alive."
Sophie's eyes widened as well as Hunter.
"Call her now! one---'' one of the men started counting. Sophie looked at hunter, she shook her head. "Don't!" she sent him signal.
"Two---''
Hunter picked up the shop's landline phone but he is hesitating. The men were impatient. After a few second, Hunter heard a loud gunshot.
"Bang!" it was loud enough for him to release the phone on his hand.
"Sophie!" he shouted.
