139 CHAPTER 139: DNA TES

Aisha can hear laughter and screams inside the house. It appears that Sophie was having a good time with the two kids. Chuckles can be heard from the outside. seems like the household staffs joined the three as well.

Earlier, Eli pleaded the household staffs to join them since according to him, the more the merrier.

When Eli asked the maids and security personnel to join them on their hide and seek game, they hesitated but Sahaya and Sophie beseeched them as well. Sophie understood their fears but she assured them that their madam will never get angry. She'll rather get upset if they decline Eli's invitation. Aside from hide and seek, they also played the doctor quack game. They were in the middle of the game when they heard Aisha's voice nearing the door. It seems like she was talking to someone over the phone.

As soon as Aisha opened the door and went inside, she found all the household staffs and security personnel all line up to greet her. but to her surprise, she saw Eli's sour expression. She creased a brow. She was sure that she heard laughter and screams when she got off the car. She was even excited to go inside to join them but all of the sudden, the house became as quite as a cemetery.

"What's the matter?" she looked at the staffs who were gazing on the floor. "Eli, aren't you happy to see me?" she pouted pretending to be hurt.

"Mom, I'm happy to see you but you just ruin our play!" Eli made a face.

"Eh? Did I?" Aisha yelped. "I'm sorry, I didn't know. If I knew then I should have not come home." she jested.

"So who's the "IT"? Sophie yelled after coming out from the comfort room but she paused when she saw the strange atmosphere.

"Eh? What did I miss?" Sophie inquired. then Aisha peered through her direction when she heard her voice.

"Sissy! Glad you're here. You should join everybody!" Sophie yelled as she strides beside her.

"I love to, but looks like Eli doesn't want me around." She jokingly made a face.

Eli revolved his eyeballs, "Mom!" he cried. "That's not what I mean!"

Then Aisha suddenly laughed. "I know sweetheart, I'm just kidding. We'll you should continue what you're doing. I won't meddle, I promise." She bends to kiss Eli's forehead then caresses Sahaya's hair who was standing silently beside Eli while listening to her dramas.

Then she looked at the staff's direction. "Please raise your heads." The staffs did as she says and looked at her, somehow shocked to see her smiling. "Don't be afraid to play with the kids. Treat this time as your long break for today. As for me and Sophie, we will prepare the dinner for tonight." She gave them a comforting smile.

"But Madam, Master Ethan will definitely reprimand us if we allow you to prepare the dinner tonight." Their chief cook spoke.

"Don't worry about him, Eli and I will be on your side. Right sweetheart?" Aisha gaze at Eli's direction.

"Ehm!" he nodded cheerfully. "Don't worry, daddy is afraid of mommy!"

Everyone laughed at the child's statement but Eli doesn't have any idea why.

Aisha pulled Sophie in the kitchen while the others continued playing.

"So what happened? Where you able to talk to Robert?" Sophie asked as soon as they reach the kitchen.

Aisha, who went to the fridge took a kilo of pork and chicken to defrosted it.

"I didn't get to see him. I was told that he went abroad yesterday and no one knew when he's coming back." Aisha started chopping some onion.

"Oh, that's unfortunate." Sophie replied while peeling some carrots.

"I don't know why but I feel like I'm so near yet so far." She sighed.

"Maybe it's not just the right time yet. but I'm sure you'll be able to see each other soon. If not today, then maybe some other days." She tried to boost her moral.

"I know that." she heaved a heavy sigh. "But I was also planning to find our parent's grave."

"Ethan can surely locate it faster." Sophie suggested.

"No. I don't want to trouble him this time. I know he had a lot of piled works in his office so I will do this by myself. Besides, I'm fired at my work." Aisha chuckled.

"Ha-ha! That's absurd but I understand your reason though." Sophie said while munching the grapes which she stuffed in her mouth. "I wish I had been understanding like you before. Then maybe I have a cute daughter who looks like Sahaya." She joked.

They both chuckled. "Didn't I tell you? that young lady has some Ridgewood features in her."

"Not just the physical features but she also has that airy personality like my brother! Maybe if I met that young lad in the North State, then I'll probably force a DNA test." Sophie exaggerated but paused afterwards.

Aisha looked at the silent woman opposite her. She knows what was running in her mind. She will surely push for the DNA Test. And she's right.

"Wait! why can't I, right?" she gazed at Aisha who rolled her eyes. "Besides, Caleb is such a dickhead before. who knows that young girl was his spawn all along?!" her eyes shone with that bright idea.

"Yah! Do you think her parent's would approve for that stupid plan of yours?" she hit her head. "And are you doubting your own brother?! If he did have a daughter, do you think he'll abandon her?!" Aisha scolded her.

"Okay fine! I know that my brother is an idiot sometimes but I also know that he is not an irresponsible father!" Sophie glared at her. "What are you? his lawyer?" she made a face.

Aisha chortled. "Sophie, I know you very well so I'm warning you. don't ever do such foolish a action. If someone sue you because of that stupid plan, I'll make sure to leave you in the prison forever!" she warned.

"Fine! Whatever!" Sophie scowled.

Unknown to Aisha, Sophie has been silently planning inside her head. Nothing serious, she just wanted to do it for fun. She stared at Aisha who was busy cooking, then she smirked meaningfully.

Uprooting a strand of Sahaya's hair would be enough. But wait, is she going to give a sample from her or from Caleb? however, Caleb is in North State right now. Then Sophie is willing to wait for Caleb then. But she's planning to raid Caleb's room to find some fallen hair as soon as she goes home later. Sophie grinned.

She is really determined to push for the DNA Test.
